He got the Supra(s) at 15. Supposedly he paid for the Vipers with his own money from sponsors and drifting, but I don't know. Either way at 17 his parents could have, and should have, put their foot down and stopped him, but in the end they didn't and are probably regretting it now.

He paid for the Vipers? Bull****. Formula D doesn't pay anywhere the amount for the winner to afford a Viper.

Each round winner gets $5,000. 7 rounds total=$35,000 max., and that's winning every round. Championship winner gets $7,000. That's a total of $42,000. That's IF someone manages to win all 7 rounds.
They're still $38,000 short of a Viper, and I don't see sponsors covering the entire costs.

And seeing how Nick has not won a championship or any of the 7 rounds to my knowledge, I don't see him making anywhere near enough to buy his own Viper. So you know his parents bought it. Besides, what Dodge dealer sells a new Viper to a minor...a minor? That's a salesmen signing his death certificate.

I'm just going by what Nick has said on numerous occasions. I know it's BS. He's not only not won a championship, but he's also put the drift Viper into a wall more than once - doubt they're paying him tons of money after doing that.

Either way, he's balls deep in some serious **** right now. He'll be lucky to have any sort of future at this point.

He'll be fine because he's a "celebrity". I personally would strip him of his license more or less forever.

With Florida's stance on streetracing, and the fact that there is a 99% chance he's either killed or maimed for life his friend who is a US Marine war vet, I think the DA will have a field day with his ass. Daddy being a celebrity can only get you so far. It allowed him to keep his license getting pulled over doing 30+ on a few occasions, but getting out of this? I don't see it happening.

Unless of course somehow they manage to make people belive this truly was an accident - which would be a miracle for them.

Either way, I truly hope the passenger and his family the best. I can only imagine what they're going through right now.

See, that's his problem. He's so sure and full of himself. He refuses to take professional advice on drifting, and believe he knows better.

Ironic yet, he just got a 350Z drift, and he actually showed some improvement from what I heard.

I thought Nick was racing for MOPAR High Performance Parts, taking over for the Sweede, while he was going to drive the SRT-8 Charger... ?

Dodge, you would think, would give him one for free... I know in NASCAR the drivers receive 'car bonuses' for winning races, rookie of the year, etc.

The purses for a Nascar driver are gigantic, and Formula D is not a huge paying sport. The sponsors will give him the car, but they sure as hell won't just give him a new Viper to drive around in.

In my silver Viper, I was driving from Miami to Tampa. I got pulled over going 107 [mph] and the guy let me off. He’s like, “Hey, I know who you are, just keep going, ya know.” Dude, I got back on the road and two minutes later I get pulled over going 113 [mph]. Another highway patrol from the same county said, “I just heard on the radio that my buddy pulled you over and let you go. I’ma let you go this time. It’s your second warning. You get pulled over again, you’re probably going to go to jail.” Three minutes later, [I was] doing 123 [mph] in a 50 [mph zone]. The guy is like, “Hey, I just heard you got pulled over twice in the last 10 minutes. I got to write you a ticket.”

Well, it's pretty clear from that that the kid just isn't getting it. Time to throw the book at him and see if that sinks in.

Unfortunately, he's still a minor, so it's unlikely that charges will be serious.

"Have you learned your lesson? Okay. Just be careful."

Hey, kids: CARS ARE NOT TOYS.

17 years old, and talking like this?
Wow, these must break necks when riding down Ocean Drive.
The yellow Supra and yellow Viper are pussy magnets for sure. I mean, the green and the silver appeal more to men, ’cause a guy knows what he’s looking at and will drool over it. But girls see the yellow, and panties start dropping off.

This kid needs to stfu.

Well, there's another MKIV Supra off the planet... :(

I've seen that Hogan show a couple times, and his son comes off as a putz who thinks his poo don't stink. So I'm not suprised this happened.

Damn shame...

I think every guy who knows of the Bollea's, knows of Brooke. lol

Totally agree with the majority in this post. Nick never came across the responsible type in the mtv show so why think he any different IRL.

One thing... I thought his Supra was green? Or was that belonging to one of his mates?

I don't think the Supra he crashed was his, because I've only seen a green one and a black one. One's his dad's, one's his.

After:

The Hulkster owns the Hunter Green one I think but its shown in this video

that he owns it and Nick just bought another one. I have seen his first crash when they recorded it on the Hulks knows best show. I was a laughing but then again I was jealous. Other than Ken Gushi, I think Nick is one of the youngest yet unexperienced pro drifters in the league. But he has money and fame, what can we do? Petition him off D1 and tell his dad that his son fails at driving?

a Not Trust able site now
Within the first year of obtaining his licence, Nick was ticketed four times and received four points on his licence.[7][8] Those charges included a violation for going 115 mph in a 70 mph zone, 57 mph in a 30 and 106 mph in a 70.[9] The most recent ticket prior to his crash occured on August 10, 2007, when Nick was ticketed after his 1998 Toyota was recorded going 82 mph in a 45 mph construction zone while workers were present.

I'm not sure what the law is down there, but I think in Illinois speeding in a construction zone is now a pretty serious offense.

Too bad she can't sing. But I know, and even I admit, that every guy wants to see her in a Playboy issue...or at least Maxim.

I like the song the girl sings, "Papa Don't Preach". I got a song for you too, *****. It's called, "Daughter Don't Sing".
I know its aimed at the wrong girl but both daughter's sing

In the case of Kelly Osbourne, the song should be called "Daughter, Don't Show Your Ugly Face or Ugly Voice in Public."

Heh, Nick should have been driving this:

83escort7-87a.jpg

Spec'd out with the smallest I4 and C3 automatic for extra slug, with the AC compressor constantly on, It would struggle to make 60MPH, and on that street, I'd be suprized if a teen that young can get that thing past 55.

He would have walked away with cuts and bruises from when the escort went belly-up and slid to a stop upside down, instead of skeeting into a tree...

WAIT! Don't erase his name on that Darwin quite yet...I'm sure Hulk's already lining up the benjamins to replace the car...

I'd check supraforums for an update, but after a seven year stint they finally banned me.

After checking on google, it appears that he is still in critical condition (coma).

There's also this tidbit
eonline.com
The former pro grappler vehemently defended Nick from what he said was an "unfair" portrayal of Nick in the media, pointing out that in his opinion, "from all the eyewitnesses and everyone that was there and saw it...they were not racing."

FoxNews.com
TAMPA, Fla. — Celebrity wrestler Hulk Hogan's son got a warning and a speeding ticket after Florida Highway Patrol troopers stopped him twice for driving at least 100 mph on an interstate last year, authorities said.

Nick Bollea, 17, who also goes by Nick Hogan, is being investigated for an Aug. 26 high-speed crash in Clearwater that critically injured his friend.

In an interview given before the crash, Bollea told Rides magazine that Florida troopers gave him two warnings and then a ticket as he sped at more than 100 mph along Alligator Alley, a wide-open stretch of Interstate 75 that spans the southern tip of Florida.

Florida Highway Patrol Lt. Doug Dodson said Bollea was stopped twice on Sept. 17, 2006. Dodson said the first trooper gave Bollea a stern warning for driving 100 mph in a 70-mph zone after the teen claimed he had a family emergency in Clearwater. The officer told a second trooper about 20 miles down the road to watch for Bollea in a black Mercedes.

The second trooper stopped Bollea for driving 115 mph in a 70-mph zone and issued him a $305.50 ticket, Dodson said. Adjudication was later withheld on the ticket.

Clearwater police have said speed contributed to Bollea's Clearwater wreck, which remains under investigation. His passenger, 22-year-old John Graziano, remained in critical condition Thursday at Bayfront Medical Center in St. Petersburg, a hospital spokeswoman said.

Hulk Hogan has smacked down media suggestions that his 17-year-old son's bad driving record and affinity for racing may have been to blame for a car crash that seriously injured the younger Hogan and critically injured his best friend, John Graziano, a 22-year-old Marine who served a tour of duty in Iraq.

"The most important thing to me was from all the eyewitnesses and everyone that was there and saw it was that they were not racing," the former pro-wrestling superstar told The Insider.....

Hogan, whose birth name is Terry Bollea, said his son was "hanging in there" after suffering non-life-threatening injuries, including a broken arm, some broken ribs and neck and knee problems. Graziano, on the other hand, wasn't so lucky and remains in critical condition.

Last week, the Tampa Tribune quoted his grandmother as saying there's a chance the veteran, who is in a coma, may have suffered brain damage. Doctors have so far been unable to operate due to brain swelling.

Various media outlets meanwhile have since characterized the two pals as adrenaline junkies with an interest in fast cars—pointing, for instance, to Bollea's MySpace blogs about "working [his] way into the drifting world" and boning up on his skills in hopes of participating in a formula race.
So why the ****** are they going double the speed limit?

Witness to the so called Racing from Katu.com
CLEARWATER, Fla. (AP) - A woman said Hulk Hogan's son was racing another car moments before he lost control of his vehicle and crashed into a tree, critically injuring his passenger.

Frances Vitalis, a registered nurse from Plant City, said she saw 17-year-old Nick Bollea's Toyota Supra smash into a median and spin into a palm tree Sunday night. She said the Supra and a Dodge Viper were revving their engines and racing between traffic signals before the crash.

"We knew something was going to happen," said Vitalis, who was riding a motorcycle with a friend behind the cars. "You know that this is a bad situation and these guys are hotdogging."

Bollea's attorney, J. Kevin Hayslett, declined to comment.

Clearwater police spokesman Wayne Shelor also declined to comment on the witness accounts, citing an ongoing investigation. He said detectives have talked to "a number of eyewitnesses." Police so far have said only that excessive speed contributed to the crash.

Shelor issued a statement Wednesday afternoon saying Hulk Hogan "was not driving a car beside or near the one his son, Nick, was driving when it crashed." Shelor said Hogan arrived at the scene minutes after the crash.
