Hey look guys.:( I know that this video bit the big one. But please don't look onto my future videos as being like this.


I totally rushed this one and I know I know, I shouldn't have done that. I just honestly wanted to get it off of my shoulders so I could move on. And that was the terminal mistake. I especially would like to apologize to SilviaDrifter, Bryan C and F.Zamataki becuase I know that they have come to expect more from me.:(

I was going to go easy, because I wanted to save my clutch for Seito4Counter, he knows he's probably going to be my stiffest competition, but I see that now I'm just going to have to buy a new clutch, because I'm gonna have to heel-toe and clutch-kick everyturn.

That burnout was weird, you had to see the terrain I was on, it was smooth on one side, rutted on the other, hence the open diff burn out.:lol: :lol:

As for gettting an LSD, no way, that car is for the highway and street, the last thing I need is for my only source of turning on that high HP high displacement beast not able to turn without sliding out at the rear.

If you ever want to meet up, we'll do battle. Yep I got's me a 240, she's black and has a little punch. My friend is also selling me his non-running 240 for parts. It's a whole 240 but it doesn't run so his practically giving it away for 250 bucks. I don't know what to say. I love being a marine, :lol: :lol:

does your friend want to sell the back seat? my back seat (bottom and top cushion) are pretty ripped up, and i could use a better condition one, so i'll buy his if he wants to sell it. is it a fastback? and now i realize why you don't have an LSD on that camaro =]

i live in san diego, california, so i doubt we'll ever meet in real life, much less a battle =[

Hell, we could do 240 vs 240 vs 240. My SR20DET swap is finished, and I can shift gears like a beast with a cast on my arm. S13 SR20 is decent, I miss my low end from my S14 (RIP, F-in blazer). I'm still running stock exhaust, but I just put in the order for an Apex'i N1 Dual, so well see how long it'll take for that crap to come in. I'll make a thread and post some pics when my buddy finds his cable to his digicam.

Well, I been thinking about the whole SR20 deal, but I wanna have fun and be different too. I'm seriously thinking about boosting this KA to some good numbers and having fun with that. I would suprise the masses, and save the sweat of an engine swap. I'll see what I can do with it.

I know someone with a 650hp KA24DET Zenki S14. There is a lot of performance to be unlocked, if you know how. However, the SR20DET is a lighter engine, which is why, I will most likely go that route.......

I've had 2 KA24's, one DE (S14) and one E (S13), never once did I think about doing anything with them other than donating them to the "I need a new motor for my hardbody pickup" fund. Hell, after we yanked the KA, I litreally pissed on it, just my lil salute to Nissan's bright idea of throwing that heap of trash in my S13.

Shadow, you have a KA24E, just like I had. Give up any delusions you have for that SOHC junkbox motor, do the right thing and yank it.

Well, I don't think he wants me spreading it all over the net....... It has a massive $4,000 HKS turbo, and many other upgrades. He has spent quite a lot of money on it. With enough money, anything is possible.......... I don't have any pics yet, but I hope to get some soon.......... I'll keep ya posted...

daaaang... well yea i was just so surprised to see those numbers come from a KA24... he isn't squeezing now is he? :lol: but yea, that's pretty impressive. i wonder how reliable his car is ¿
 
Actually it is his daily driver. He just had all the new turbo stuff installed, and now he's waiting for a 6-speed tranny. He pushing 28psi of boost, so it probably won't be reliable for long, but who knows. The turbo, and everything else, is made to handle it, so I guess we'll see what happens....

hmm... 650HP KA24 pushing a boost of 28 that is a daily driver? This enters the realm of "need pics + video to believe". I'm not saying you're completely full of ****, I'm just saying its very hard to fathom someone jumping in their 650HP car running a KA with a fat@ss turbo pumping sick boost, to drive down to Safeway and pick up a gallon of milk.

Well, as I said, he just had the new turbo parts installed, so it wasn't an issue before. Also, he does have a boost controler, and I told him he should turn down the boost, and he most likely will, but he wanted to see what the car was capable of. He had it dynoed at 28psi. Furthermore, only time will tell, if this car is going to be a reliable daily driver. I would tend to agree with you, that it won't be very reliable, for daily driving, but we'll see, I guess......

Now, I haven't seen that in America, people usually don't invest the big bucks into boost controllers and huge turbos in America, but in Japan, there are TONS of people who have high boost high horsepower cars and they have no choice but to have it as their only car. They do just as SilviaDrifter pointed out, they boost high when they race or drift and they turn it down when they are just going to the store or something.


For instance, the twin 900hp RX-7's I've told some people about, run unbelieveable boost numbers when they run the Wangan, but when they are just cruising on the sidestreets, they crack the gate and let the boost drop down to more believeable, and actually somewhat economical numbers.


Oh and BTW, this is just speaking on behalf of Japan, but running a daily driver at 28 PSI isn't unheard of, in fact, I had a Staff Sergeant and a Sergeant that did just that. And I knew a few nationals that ran in the mid to high 20's on a regular basis.
