I got told it had an sr20 but found out it's an RB20e, if I swapped in an RB25DET would I need to cut and change the position of the mounts or would the preexisting mounts be fine for 25detDon't those come with a rb25 in it??? I'm assuming he swapped it out for the sr20.
I would swap the 25 if you want nice power gains and better engine. If not just keep the 20 in there since it's already in there. Plus plenty of space to work on the engine.
Personally I would swap a 25 in it.
Its just my first project so I don't want to complicate it too much but I still want it to put me in my seat when I plant itI guess I was resting on my Laurel(s), I knew that... So the car is probably RB20, and he wants to go RB25. The 25 has more potential overall, it goes beyond the displacement difference.
Speed costs money, how fast do you wanna go?
yea you should be fine with the pre existing mounts if it came with the 20e in it.I got told it had an sr20 but found out it's an RB20e, if I swapped in an RB25DET would I need to cut and change the position of the mounts or would the preexisting mounts be fine for 25det
Possibly but haven't found any decent ones in my price rangeyea you should be fine with the pre existing mounts if it came with the 20e in it.
Just curious, wouldn't it be better and cheaper to buy a c34 with a turboed engine or no?
Found a 1999 25clubS in Japan with an RB25DE in it, can get it for same price as the one I'm looking at including shipping.I would look for a salvage Laurel in your body style with a healthy RB25det if I was doing this. That way you get everything you need to make it happen.
