I just re read teh article and realized that it said that the 33 year old guy in the car was the boyfirend of the 15 year old girl. What kind of asshat 33 year old get a 15 year old pregnant?

I saw the footage on the news and the GTR R34 rear half was stuck on the pole off the ground, unbelievable!

I send my deep condolence to all the families of those who died in the crash. It is such a waste. One adult and two young teenagers died just because one of them was irresponsible and reckless.

Stories like this make me sick. Three people dead, and a wrecked Skyline (least of the matter).

Blah. I just hope their family can TRY to get over this catastrophe.

Heres some info on it and abit of an interview with the father of the son that took his GTR

Hey guess what, I finally got my sisters boy friend, to take photos of my skyline on his digi cam.

it is a 1995 Nissan Skyline (ECR33) GTS25T
mods
*Full Tommy Kaira body kit
*17inch "Advan racing" wheels (Falken 255's rears, 235 fronts)
*Momo steering wheel (not sure what kind)
*HKS pod intake filter with shield
*RS*R 3 1/2inch stainless mandrel bent cat back exhaust 5inch tip
*other small mods like razo gearshift knob and stereo

I am looking at getting a FMIC (front mount intercooler) (will move the number plate)& boost controller soon, later I will go larger turbo, fully mapable ECU etc.

I have more photos but they are much of the same, when I get my own digi cam (soonish) I will take more detailed photos like interior and engine (and a GTP sign if required).

Yes I know the suspension needs to be lowered but I will leave it intill I get coil overs

BTW that is a Tommy Kaira badge on the grill and a small on on the bottom lip below the number plate. there is also one on the rear wing underneath

Nice ride! 👍

Honestly, it looks better in pictures then in real life, in large part owing to the considerable skill of the photographer. (Hell, he managed to make MY car look like a magazine cover!) The main problem is that the GTR wasn't originally white, and the paint job on it isn't up to OEM specs. There's a bit of running, orange peel, etc in the job.

Still, it's a GTR, and that gives it a bit of street cred.

Sadly, that car isn't driving at the moment. Some assholes smashed the windshield and headlights. The headlights have been replaced, but he's trying to find a windshield somewhere in the US, because one from japan will cost close to 3k..... just for the shipping!

One of the guys I work with has an R34 GT-T. He's got 10" tyres on the back and still manages to light them up in first gear. He said before he put on his full exhuast and air filter he wasn't able to light them up, just chirp them. Anyway he took off early from work today and dropped the clutch and floored it and oh my god the sound was awesome - it echoed all through the workshop

One of the other guys I work with has an R32 GTR - it's pretty fast, not too shabby :sly:

DAMN! all three of them Skylines are badass man! 10in tires! I thouhgt most people perfer biggger tires for tourque in drag racing?
Smaller daimeter tires result in better torque multiplication. Anyway, in most drag cars, wheelspin is more of a problem than torque multiplication.

I think Taurine was talking width anyway.

Yes he was refering to width.

10 inch diameter :odd:

Uh-huh the white one runs 8.4 @ 260km/h.

He's hoping to get into the 7's and incase you didn't know, he would get closer to becoming the fastest GTR ever.

I work with him too :sly:

Yeah well, I haven't built up the courage to go introduce myself yet.

The downside of working in the same place, is having to do the work :(

I was wondering how long it would take you to mention him. ;)

He holds the title of the fastest 4WD in Australasia too last time i looked. 👍

Yeah I was going to yesterday but he turned before me and started noseying around a furnace that was broken.

I'll talk to him one day..

He had it put on the dyno on Friday afternoon but I'm yet to hear what he did. I'll find out tomorrow though. He'll coming running up with a big grin on his face and launch into a big story about how it went.

Bloody south african Skyline drivers :irked: :P

Gee I happen to know Reece Mcgregor very well. I've known him personally for going on 4 years.
One thing I've never known him to be is a chatter box or get over excited about the power figures of his car.

It's not like we are close mates. Basically I catch up with him either at Meremere or when I happen to run into him at Ronnie Lim's place RSL. Reece has to be the niciest and easiest bloke to talk to.

So get off your lazy butt and go say hi to him. Oh when you do make sure you say him to him from me. (Vince with the Silver GTR) he'll know right away.

Last time I spoke to him was when I bought a flywheel of him through Trade-Me.
