you would have thought they would have kept the coupe around if they had NISMO plans for it

but if they did the Sentra concept in 2013. and the Maxima could be in a year or so once the regular car gets on the road.. then sure Altima concept could fit right in the middle

as this is again just a concept and not a production debut

1. The Versa is basically the same thing as the Note, why make a concept car if they already have a production version of it ?

Scion unveiled a concept of the FRS after the production GT 86 came out, didn't they?

I'll put $5 on an Altima Nismo Concept.

Consider the following:
  • Toyota dropped the XSE Camry last year, and just announced a TRD version "coming soon"
  • The Altima is featured in racing trim in not only those weird "performance" commercials from 2014, but also in the most-recent Superbowl spot, giving the car more sporting credentials... Time to give us the street version?
  • Performance creep has been promised by Ford with the strong-selling Fusion as well...
  • Mazda
I dunno. It seems right. After all, the Altima is a car with a great chassis, but the wrong parts to show it off. I'd love to see one with a proper wheel/tire combo, a little more body control in the suspension, and perhaps a manual transmission. The Nismo could be it! Price it right, and if they include those kick-ass seats, I'll see what I can do.
Altima in the Super Bowl spot? Did I miss something?

Again, Altima is getting a major facelift for '16 and I doubt they would show a Nismo version of it without showing the regular car first.

the Altima did just debut in Australia for 2013. Several months before it was available on the road. Could it be a world wide NISMO Altima? Seen that 2015 Altima V8 Supercar? Would it be coincidence or product planning? As a concept, it hasn't been seen before.

Whoops. The weird coloring on those 370Zs in the first 20 seconds made 'em look like the Altima to me.

Still...

???

Hey, I'm down with whatever performance version of whatever basic car Nissan, Toyota, Honda, or whomever is ready to throw at us.

As I said earlier, since it's a US auto show, I doubt it would be a global release car. So in our case, a Nismo Infiniti is probably 99.99% out of the equation.

just trying to get clarification with the names and why they kept the skyline name. I put that to bed.

reveal is in 25 mins but based on this can only be the one we totally didnt think of 370Z NISMO roadster
