I think nitrous will actually add an extra layer of realism. You can't say it makes the game more like an arcade racer because it is a real power adder in real life and is used on racing and on the street (illigally, but still).

I like the option to have nitrous again. Of course I hope there will be an option to allow or disallow in online lobbies.

People could hate it all they want. It's part of street racing so yeah it should stay in the game.
Just filter it in multiplayer and that's it. Everybody's happy.

Happy Nos is back. Always better to have options.

more options give players more choices and choices are good.

edit:would still like a rewind feature

I was actually surprised back when gt5 released that it wasn't in there coming from gt4. I have a feeling we might have a few more surprises, good and bad.

Actually, didn't the "hybriders" in GT5 find nitrous in the game files? Can someone back this up?

NOS is great for the fun factor, gave me plenty of smiles in GT4. Like others have said though, it needs to be optional for online rooms otherwise everyone will use it & it'll ruin online racing.

What if you just have to pay to refill the bottles....so a initial install payment then lesser price for refills. People should use it a little more sparingly that way

As long as we have the option of disabling it in time trials and online races, I'm more than happy to have it.

Or, why not just have an on/off filter?

How is money going to regulate it at all? GT is designed to let you buy a thousand car garage. How expensive is it going to be to refill to put a dent in that kind of money? Especially if you can just B-Spec is back while you sleep. Why punish players that have no concern over credits at all. Or those who want to use it all the time?

Having to pay for it is pretty pointless, a restriction for it is infinitely better.

As for the option itself, it's good to see it return. Very strange that it wasn't in GT5 given that's it not a foreign thing when it comes to cars.

I guess...why not agree for both:). BTW, GT5 was drastically more difficult and hard to earn money before outragious payout seasonal events and daily bonuses came into play.

For me, there's more pro's than con's about nitrous being back in. Surely there'll be the occational person that just wants it cranked on every car so he won't be last, but on the other hand, think of the opportunities it creates for organised racing series. For an example if you could apply it to the Formula Gran Turismo or a Le Mans prototype. There's a KERS equivalent right there. So yes, if it can be controlled for use in online races (which I believe it will, seeing as they already have similar fancy options for driver AIDs), I'm all for it 👍

Picture it right now, the Mulsanne straight at Circuit De La Sarthe.

Two 800HP Nissan GTR's, one gold, one chrome.

Two angry kids, who happen to have microphones.

Immense screaming as they NOS up and down the straight in full rage before hitting the clean player driving at the other end.

This is inevitable, and also why I like hosting my own lobbies, so I can kick annoying kids! :D

Either that or stick to private lobbies with your mates.

NOS doesn't make you a better driver so the fact that we have more options in the tuning shop to work on our cars is alwAys a major upgrade.

Very happy about it, loved using Nitrous in GT4 for quick drag and top speed cars. Top speed Viper here I come! Too bad the JZA80 Supra isn't premium yet.

(and to maximize A-spec points :P )

They probably noticed all the drag race rooms and decided it would be a good idea. My only problem would be if I'm on the final straight and somebody uses it to pass me but I doubt that would happen
