Seriously? You can't have a debate without repeated attacks? The Sony forums aren't too far away, why don't you go over there.... Oh, and I'll end this argument if you can honestly tell me that you've never, ever, drag raced once, anywhere.
In that case don't knock something you're too stuck up to try. Argument ended.Yes I have never, ever dragged anywhere and never will. I'll just keep doing this

Lol you know what i mean! Why is everyone concerned with what types of racing nitrous is used. It's a driving simulator. If you dont like it, don't use it.
Why are you talking about nitromethane in a thread about nitrous?
Back to the thread topic, sorry. One drawback I could see is in GT4 it was a little unrealistic how many cars could go well over 200mph with nitrous. I do hope they've remedied that, it was a little too unrealistic.
@Jay though it was never used on-line
If they are there. In GT5 there was no provision for keeping out individual tuning parts, it was either no tuning at all or wide open. Without an on/off toggle this will ruin online circuit racing on open lobbies for anyone really interested in realism IMO.Indeed, but that's what race options are for.
It's kinda true. A turbo and some nitrous would turn your Supra into a 10 second car LOL.Maybe PD were trying to copy Fast and Furious

When I was younger playing GT4, I was so confused with the nitrous. I recall saying something along the lines of 'why isn't there fire coming out of the exhaust?'.
I never played GT4 so it'll be interesting to finally feel how nitrous is like (NFS games don't count). I'm OK with it as long as it's portrayed realistically. In long races it probably won't make much difference since it will only last a short while. And if everybody has them it'll add a nice strategic aspect to the races. Do you use it at the start to overtake everyone or save it for the final straight to the finish? And putting it on the Formula GT will allow us to simulate KERS lol.

So true but are talking quarter time or how long the engine will last under the pressure, but to be serious for a second alot of cars had their engine potential limited stock because of the agreement between the major Japanese car companies as result many cars had what appeared to be overly engineered specs for a car with only 300 horsepower ( I think the number was something around 275 but let's just round up).More like 9sec.

Yeah but like I said I don't really remember the number all that well but I do remember it being around 300ish, also I don't really recall if they applied it to international models as well (just a side note). Not to go off topic but I just wish auto-makers would start increase the room in the engine bay a little more newer cars are really annoying to work on sometimes. One can only hope that with Nitrous we can see a return/access to stage 4 or even 5 turbos, for me the best thing would be to allow further customization of boost systems such as single, twin turbo or hybrid charging. Just think a massive hi-rev turbo combine with a twin-screw supercharger, oh it would be amazing to see the power figures. Although the additional weight, space and well keeping the damn thing cooled might be an issue. But the Supra KIV had 300hp stock. I wonder if PD will let us get up to 1,000 HP in GT6.
.
The number was 278 bhp, I think.Yeah but like I said I don't really remember the number all that well but I do remember it being around 300ish, also I don't really recall if they applied it to international models as well (just a side note). I looked it up, it is 276 bhp
There goes the Online fun
@TheKitten It makes more than 276 Hp from the factory, like the Skyline GTRs and various other Japanese sports cars, they are marketed as putting down 276 because of a supposed limit put on machines like this in Japan. Here's an explanation:

It makes about 280HP from what I'm reading (Before break in).Yes it does. After break in point its like 300..
