I'm still waiting to hear why it is you say that I'm the one who is making stupid comments, and why I'm the one who's slow. You are the one who has totally failed to pay any attention to what is going on in this thread.

You seem to be under the impression that if you keep telling me I'm retarded, it will somehow make you seem smarter. As numerous people have shown you, you're only making yourself look worse and worse.

Next time when you cop a big attitude and say stuff like "UHH DURRRR" to people, you better check twice to make sure it's not you that's being stupid.

Actually I don't use it. And like it or not, you're going to have a tough time getting people to take you seriously if you are too lazy to act even slightly intelligent.

If you dont have enough time to type correctly, you obviously dont have enough time to post on this site. Oh wow, a Full 10 more seconds to just correct mistakes. Come on, that is not alot of time to spend making your posts look nice and making you look more intelligent.

Sorry for butting in but there should be a rule that these grammar arguements occur outside of usable threads because i came to read about car design degradation over the past decdes and i find this...

Technically, that should read "grammatical errors". :P

Going back OT, in terms of looks I prefer the new style Rav-4, which just squeaks inside the three year rule. On the downside, Toyota have done away with the locking centre diff. Oh, and there's now a front wheel drive version. WTF? Surely that's only a Rav-2. ;)

Good for you. I hope your customers at McDonald's have a good sense of humor, because I doubt your assistant manager will. Enjoy your career asking people if they'd like to supersize.

The STS from what I have seen looks pretty good.

How's it going MB? Even if we'd been able to get you back in the Open Road, the GTF's been down anyway. :/

It just looks like a stretched CTS to me, which means mega-ugly.

It's going. heh. I'm still hanging in #ezgtchat.

Yeah, you can't rely on that place for anything. Kenji has been fixing it ASAP for, oh, about two weeks now?

Why do you mods put up with crap from dumbasses like him, just ban him, and move on. It took forever to get that fool Shiniez or whatever out of here, lets not let someone ruin our forums. And I agree, most cars are getting uglier and uglier. Although, the DB9 is lookin pretty nice.

THE NEW SEVILLE IS GOING TO BE UGLY.
I haven't seen it. To be honest, I'm kind of surprised at myself, but I like the recent batch of Caddies. I never have liked the Seville in any form, so I'm not surprised the new onw will be ugly. The very first Seville, which I really didn't like, turned out to be the best of the bunch, since I've hated every one since then.

And Shob, if sheer idiocy was a bannable offense, the Banned list would look a lot bloodier than it does. Besides, it's great stress relief to have a mouse like our 16-year-old fry cook to bat around once in a while.

to be honest as fun as it may seem neon, i agree with shob. or at least move ur argument to a different thread... however,

And they're the stupid ones?
BWAHAHAHAHAHA! that is so funny ;)

anyway what do u mean by this?

On the subject of Mercedes Benz, I refuse to have anything to do with violent rapists.

as for the topic... i almost agree with u neon, however like u said there are exceptions.

i love the current mb range, and the audi a4 and a6. i dont like the a8, i never liked the a3 or a2... heh

although i think the z4 is a good replacement to the z3, i only really like the front. which looks like its lifted from an audi TT anyway. if u took the front of a TT, the back of an e36 bmw and made it convertible i think u'd be onto a winner... heh

though most other cars suck. even look at ferrari, the 355 was sweet whereas the 360 looks too much like a toy. i dislike the murcielago (but only when compared to the diablo).

if something works, why mess with it? porsche have kept their basic general shape for like 30 years. the 996 IS better than the 993 imo but it came out more than 3 years ago so it doesn't qualify for this thesis...

The comment about Mercedes Benz being violent rapists stems from the Daimler-Benz "merger" with Chrysler a few years ago. This was sold to the public as a merger of equals, when in reality it was nothing less than corporate rape. Daimler took voting control of Chrysler, then literally transferred all the available cash to Germany. This amounted to about $8 billion - not chump change. Chrysler, which was near the top of its form in the middle of the '90s, was in the best cash position of the American Big Three, and they had a lot of money earmarked for continual product development. A lot of exciting all-American stuff was in the pipeline, too. All that got stripped away and transferred to Dailmler-Benz accounts, leaving Chrysler nearly broke.

As if that wasn't brutal enough, Daimler has also started requiring Chrysler to use more expensive Mercedes-sourced parts, while forcing Chrysler to pay Mercedes a share of the engineering costs of the parts they are being required to use. And if that's not bad enough, Daimler is slashing Chrysler's development money and telling them that they need to make cars with a bigger profit margin.

Daimler also tried to cut thousands of American engineering staff, despite the fact that Chrysler was pretty lean and mean in the post-Iaccocca years, and MB's engineering is overstaffed. In fact, it's bloody amazing that Chrysler has managed to produce anything as worthwhile as the SRT series when they are as crippled as heavily as they are by German control.

It's mismanagement so brutally bad that it simply has to be purposely done. So, yeah, you won't catch me driving a Mercedes until the day I can put studded snowtires on it and drive through Hell repeatedly running over Bob Eaton and Juergen Schrempp.

hey man i had no idea it was that bad. i had heard of a less than equal merger. and i heard that chrysler was trying to sue, do you know if they will be/are successful?

you need to beware with germans, they do this all over the place. i guess its a good way of removing competition. since i travel there frequently i know that loads of german companies buy up places in poland, companies there that are quite profitable, shift the funds and machinery over, then close down the factorys etc. lets not forget what happened to rover, they bought it, closed down the main car company, decided to keep the mini section and god know what happened to the rest. rolls royce doesn't look any good any more either.

they had best beware when they need to sell one of their industries to us... muahahahaha ;)

Your likening it to rape is wrong - Chrysler consented. Maybe Chrysler didn't know what it was in for - they certainly got taken for a ride - but they signed the papers.

I love sevilles personally, the only one i really don't like is 1986-1991.

Well, it was date rape at best. Mike Tyson did jail time for similar behaviour. Jurgen Schremmp sweet talked Bob Eaton into coming upstairs, and the rest is history. Now whether Eaton didn't have the brains to say "no", or if (as I suspect) he knew all along and happily sold the rest of the company down the river, I'm not sure. But Schremmp has admitted that he baldly lied about Daimler's intentions, until the ink was dry.

Be that as it may, in my opinion, the current Chrysler crop is the best it's ever been, with the exception of the Sebring, as I think the LeBaron is one of the rare few cars that revolutionised an entire class.

Chrysler produces the best line of domestic sedans and coupes, they make the best small pickup, they have some of the best minivans for sale, the 300M consistenly finds buyers, and good things are on the horizon, as opposed to the Plymouth Horizon, which was a bad thing. Jeep is also one of the buying public's favourite brands, but that was more thanks to luck about ten years ago then some strategy about six years ago than anything else. I'm not sure of the financial status of Chrysler, but from a strictly consumerist view, I love what I see. 👍

Yeah, I like what I see as well. Though you have to admit there is more german looking things in their cars. Take note of the Crossfire (though I like it alot)...
