With the new information given about GT5 and its features i noticed that none of that stuff such as only premium cars will have damage etc and instead it just stated "damage", can we assume that all cars will have a certain level of damage now?

Im not looking for cars to crumple and the drivers legs to be cut off but it would be nice to see the shiny cars to not look shiny all the time.

Perhaps this is one of the many reasons behind the longer then anticipated release date.

I hope so. One more thing i want them to consider is flames and pops from exhaust, and i dont mean nececerally flames from a standard corolla. I mean when I take my mazda 787b to sarthe it will flame and pop like a real monster. I will get so much goosebumps I will have to shut down my ps3 :D. Back from dreaming, my first thought when I saw the march releasedate I thought immiedatly that damage for all cars will be done.

Yeah, I guess it's interesting how it hasn't been mentioned. Also we've seen definite scuff marks on the front of the SLS AMG, so my guess would be that we're getting cosmetic damage on all cars.

Cosmetic damage + collision physics = All I need xD

Scuffs and dirt and paint on all cars, without deformation > bumpers and doors hanging off 15% of cars to reveal accurate internals.

Likely so. This begs a question why PD still does not have proper dialogue with GTplanet for development advice.

And i still want that 900 degree steering animation!! (i will add this to my every post from now on :) )

Is it actually confirmed that the SLS did actually have damage on the hood? It did seem to look like some sort of scuff mark but i read from a source that no damage was included in the latest videos.

See for yourself brother! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-QGkML9vJPE

No official confirmation as of yet, but in my eyes, that video is quite conclusive. You can see marks on the bonnet from 1:36 onwards, from several different views.

Also, Che from Forza has played it at TGS and reported damage textures accumulating on the car, but only after several crashes.

It would be safe to assume nothing until we hear a detailed report from someone that has played GT5.

Make a statement, add it to your sig!

All cars will have a certain level of damage, but apparently we will still have premium and standard as some cars will have better/more complete damage than others.

Always trying to rain on our parade, aren't ya

Well, I'm satisfied from what I've seen so far. As long as it's not tremendously disproportionate, I'm cool with that for now.

How is that raining on your parade? It's just what was released.

As for tremendously disproportionate, I guess that's a personal call. I think cars with deformable body panels vs ones that can't be deformed or have peices knocked off is fairly disproportionate, but tha'ts just my opinion.

Do we know that some cars won't have collapsing parts?

In as far as do I have a time machine and can go look at the full release version, we don't know anything. It's possible that KY turns a full 180 and takes all damae out before release, who knows.

But as far as the latest info from a credible source with hands on (IGN) there are two classes of damage with race cars having more; so yes, premium vs standard (not necessarily named as such, but still some better than others).

I believe we are getting both so really...

Scuffs and dirt and paint on all cars, without deformation + bumpers and doors hanging off 15% of cars to reveal accurate internals.= PURE AWESOMENESS!
haha 👍

My guess is that standard cars are production cars and premium are all other cars (WRC, NASCAR, Touring cars, etc. etc.) are premium cars.

Standard cars can only get scuffs, scratches and maybe a dent or two. Premium cars can get their doors and bumpers ripped off.

I think that too. Also I think we can confirm all cars have a modeled interior :)
