No women are shown in GT5 (Only the lady of “Portraitist” trophy)

Have you noticed that there are not women in GT5? Well, there is only one blonde lady that you can see in Bern, license tests, and sometimes at the opening of the game in our pit, but that’s it.

Yes, I know this is a “E” rated game, but girls on the crowd that cheer us should be good, and pit girls are an important part of races.

I will go farter, why women can not create a female avatar? or why we are not allowed to get a female B-Spec Driver.

I do not want this to sound like complaining. This is only an observation. I love GT5 with all his pros and cons, and barely has gotten out of my PS3 in a year, but… What do you think? Have you seen other lady in GT5?

Wait if you look at the last video in homepage you can see Barbie and Ken driving the new Toyota.

I noticed it right from the start. Either PD (and others) can't model girls or cars are for guys only.

You must remember that the female is not seen as a equal in Japan just yet. As a "Males" game there where not included to a full extent. The girl in the photo shot is the same one you see in the opening of a new game as well as when you gold a license.

With any luck a girl winning the GT Awards will help change that.

I think it would be nice is there was an option to have a female avatar or B-Spec driver as I know there are some women who play GT.

I does seem to be a sports world dominated by males so I think PD are just reflecting life.

I'd be nice to have a special event with Sabine Schmitz where one could drive a lap with her as a co-driver giving guidance around the 'Ring. May be helpful as a learning aid for those that struggle with the Nurburgring.

I don't know, there are a lot of women working for PD; I'm not even sure it's "opinion" that needs changing. Just try it, see what happens. Obviously, leave out the "opinion" stuff, though. 👍


It honestly doesn't "bother" me, but I'm male and I don't have the desire to pretend to be female in a game, especially when there's no gameplay / playstyle benefit.
However, it's pretty obvious the option should have been there from the start.

Well I thought I heared it all. Who cares, I mean really care? Gt is about cars and driving those cars. You are the driver. So if you are a girl then a girl is driving the car.

By the way, when you look at the drivers, they are just suits. Even if they have tits and long hair, you wouldn't be able to see the difference.

Kind of funny when you think about the wave of political correctness sweeping North America, where even the most infinitesimal thing is blown way out of proportion, that PD can create a virtual world, virtually devoid of women, and it's rarely mentioned...lol. I'm surprised the women of North America haven't staged an Occupy PD or Occupy Sony campaign...lol.

They could all show up at Sony's US headquarters in full racing suits, and camp out on their front lawn, marching around during the day carrying signs. Be great, I'm sure they'd get lots of press. CNN would be there in a heartbeat, especially if they were Democrats..lol. You never know, a few fellas might show up and pitch a tent to show their support...
