5.53 with Mazda 787b.

What's everyone elses time with that car so i know how much i need to improve? lol

I'm at 6:08 with that car (but I'm not really that great of a driver).

I also approve of having a site with laptimes somewhere, can be useful information to gauge how well you're doing.

Great thread!

I've been working towards getting faster lap times with my superb and very underrated Impreza Super Touring Car (528BHP/1030KG/RS-RS).

I finally broke (for me), the psychological 6.30.xxx barrier the other day, and my current fastest time is 6.27.xxx (I have a replay file if proof is needed), with ABS 1 and no other aids. The only caveat being that I used offline physics.

I plan to further improve my lap times with this 'not so powerful' car, as I think that it may be possible to get a time close to 6.00.xxx. For now though, I will settle for 6.25.xxx. 👍

Haven't really attempted anything quick around nurburg yet... but got a 6'58.7xx in EP '04' civic, far from perfect and with PAD, think a sub 6'50 would be possible in time with practice, better tune and when i get my wheel (soon).
Saw zocker do 3'29 with X1 on youtube if i remember correct, very quick guy indead.

Are you guys jumping all over the kerbs to get the lap times? I can't recall any video were anybody does that in RL. I would think hitting a kerb would be a no-no since they're so high. On a race car they might even wreck the entire undertray. Anyways my best lap time so far is with a stock Nissan GT-R (R34). 8'23. No kerb jumping, H shifter, heel and toeing every downshift. I also did a 10 minute lap in heavy rain, at night, with a F430 Scuderia.

spaeking of 'ring laptimes, these days I'm using it as a "grinding test zone" :
I'm collecting the DTM race cars as allowed for the Schwarzwald League B, and enjoying them in the 1 lap nurburgring event. That's 99k cr. earned joyfully :)

I only have 4 eligible cars for the moment, which I'm racing stock i.e. hard slikcs, no turbo and unmodified gearing :

- Audi TT-R Abt Touring Car '02
- Mercedes 190E 2.5-16 Evolution II DTM '92
- BMW M3 GTR Race Car '01
- Lexus IS-F Racing Concept '08

I usually get something between 7'15 and 7'30 for a 1 lap race, with AI competitors that get in the way all the time - at least in the first minutes ;)

Funny thing is that despite the hp differences ( there's at least 150Hp between the 92' mercedes and the 08' lexus ),
they all reach a top speed around 275-280km/h, and at the moment my fastest race lap was made with a Audi TT, while the most powerful Lexus is the slowest.
I'm starting to fear it is me and my sloppy driving that's levelling the cars :ouch:

is anyone doing the same kind of VERY rewarding tests or interested in comparing such race/lap times ??
if it's OT here and there's interest we may open a dedicated thread and stats.

My fastest so far is 6:30:xxx in my Audi R10 Stealth model. Not exactly lightning fast, but it was stock (if you know what I mean - No mods, racing hard tires).

I tend to drive premium models around Nurburgring in cockpit view, no HUD. I just enjoy the ride and don't go all-out to set awesome times (Cars like those used in the Seasonal events - Mazda RX-7, Ford Focus ST, Fiat 500 etc).

My fastest on GT4 was (approx) 5:18:xxx in a Nissan R92CP Race car. Using a dualshock controller, as I am now with GT5.

Well I did the 4hr Nurburgring type V endurance last night using the X1 and despite worn out tyres and dodging the A.I I still managed a 4.35 laptime. So I reckon if I hotlapped on the Nurburgring I reckon my laptime would easily be a 3.30secs without even breaking sweat. The car is insane and so are the laptimes!

As long as there are two wheels on the track it is deemed clean by any competition i have ever entered.

This is my deal as well except I run race mediums... probably worth 10 seconds a lap(or more) over the hards.
BMW M3 GTR I typically get high 6:40's low 6:50's (tops out at 273-276kmh).
Merc CLK and Opel Astro Vauxhall I typically get low 6:40's (they top out at 286-289kmh).
Those are the only cars I have at this time.

whoa this is definitly fast 👍

I'll be testing the M3 GTR with race mediums to check the difference, I admit I use the racing hards just because they come with the car ... as I can manage to win anyway, I get a little lazy on spending 20 or 30k cr. on softer slicks.

I reckon these cars are quite hard to come by, I've been waiting for ages for the Alfa DTM to show up

just a little question : when you say "top out", does it mean it gets to rev limitator or at the beginning of the red zone ?

No way! What sort of set-up were you using? Because there's guys here setting times like that in Nissan GT-Rs... ;)

Lol i got 8'03 about a four days ago.... fully tuned its pretty good handling really, quite a sleeper was winning races with 250bhp cars when mine was 208bhp.

The only laptimes I've run in the ring so far are:

Lotus Elise 111R RM: 6:47.610
Acura NSX RM: 6:59.327
Nissan GT-R: 7:32.394

The GT-R run was attempting the trophy, didn't really put many attempts into it, the other two were just one laps to see how the car felt.

The title should have the F1 and the X1 being exempt. The times they post is far past that of all other cars in the game.

I think it's still interesting to see what sort of times people manage in said cars.
