Nordschleife Fastest Lap Times

Haven't read all the thread so sorry if this has been posted before. Lots of real life Nordy lap times with many cars that are in GT5.

There is a Suzuki Swift there in real life and it does Nord in 9 mins flat. I went in my Swift same weight and bhp and thought I revved the ass off it and only managed a 9.39.***
I MUST BE TOO SLOW. I was on Sports Hards too. I wasn't cutting any corners and used Penalty : Strong (was in my online lounge on my own and hit START RACE), made no mistakes and all aids turned off apart from ABS set to 1.
 
5'58 - Peugot 908 (stock, online free run)
5'04 - F2007 (online free run) 5'01 (offline)
4'02 - X2010 (first and only lap of the Nurb with it and it was a horrible run)

Lol i got 8'03 about a four days ago.... fully tuned its pretty good handling really, quite a sleeper was winning races with 250bhp cars when mine was 208bhp.

Yeah mine was a really bad lap too. Got done with the first enduro and decided to tune one out, and then it snowballed, lol.

I'm guessing mid 7's when I get to spend some time on it. It really is fun to try.

No way! What sort of set-up were you using? Because there's guys here setting times like that in Nissan GT-Rs... ;)

It's a high speed tank. It's fully tuned with racing softs. I haven't had time to really work with it yet. I just dropped the suspension and stretched the gears for a dry run.
 
7:23.3xx in the Nissan GT-R '07, sports hard and fully stock in Arcade -> Time Trial mode to get the trophy.

Was my first real timed in the GT-R lap so some extra seconds to gain :)
 
I did a 7.18 in a Vauxhall Vetra 3.2... that was fun :-)

All tune options on, all aids off, Racing Soft tires

just a little question : when you say "top out", does it mean it gets to rev limitator or at the beginning of the red zone ?

Just where the car stops pulling... and it's always at the bottom of the "hill" on the long straight... they do not bounce the limiter, but are definately in the red.
 
Just tried with the Peugeot 908 yesterday in All-Star race, standing start and no ABS(TCS at 3), racing medium, 6:05. Probably my fastest lap ever in GT game around that track thus far.

spaeking of 'ring laptimes, these days I'm using it as a "grinding test zone" :
I'm collecting the DTM race cars as allowed for the Schwarzwald League B, and enjoying them in the 1 lap nurburgring event. That's 99k cr. earned joyfully :)

I only have 4 eligible cars for the moment, which I'm racing stock i.e. hard slikcs, no turbo and unmodified gearing :

- Audi TT-R Abt Touring Car '02
- Mercedes 190E 2.5-16 Evolution II DTM '92
- BMW M3 GTR Race Car '01
- Lexus IS-F Racing Concept '08

I usually get something between 7'15 and 7'30 for a 1 lap race, with AI competitors that get in the way all the time - at least in the first minutes ;)

Funny thing is that despite the hp differences ( there's at least 150Hp between the 92' mercedes and the 08' lexus ),
they all reach a top speed around 275-280km/h, and at the moment my fastest race lap was made with a Audi TT, while the most powerful Lexus is the slowest.
I'm starting to fear it is me and my sloppy driving that's levelling the cars :ouch:

is anyone doing the same kind of VERY rewarding tests or interested in comparing such race/lap times ??
if it's OT here and there's interest we may open a dedicated thread and stats.

I am doing the same thing as far as the "grinding" of the Extreme Series Schwarzwald League B 1 lap race of the Nordschleife. I figured that if I want to improve my lap times by memorizing better the track, i may as well be getting paid for it, right? My times are apparently not so good (in the +7:00 range... but getting better). Even when limited to German cars (a nice limitation if you ask me as I drive a BMW in real life), there is plenty of power variety to work on the 'Ring.
I do it every day as many times as I can. I am using:
- BMW 320i Touring Car '03
- BMW Concept 1 Series tii '07
- BMW 120i '04
- BMW M3 GTR '03
- Mercedes SLS AMG Stealth (so much fun)
- Mercedes 300SL Coupe '54 - in red...

I have a couple of RUFs but just can't handle them well enough yet. It is my driving that is keeping my times over 7 minutes. In order to keep from spinning out on the grass i have to slow down too much. Even in the Stealth AMG my times are over 7 minutes... so can't blame it on the cars. Good way to practice, though.
 
I got a 7"16 with my Honda Integra Type R (DC2) using Racing Soft and no assists and a DS3 controller. Probably my fastest lap I have done with a factory front wheel drive car =).
 
^ What he said. I'm sure it can't be done, atleast not with assists off and grip set on real. Fastest I've done is a 5.01.xxx in the FGT, everything off and grip on real, and it was a pretty decent lap. The FGT probably weighs less than half of the Viper, only has a 100bhp less, and has incredible downforce. Case closed, myth busted?
 
3:40 in X1 Prototype, but this does not count! X1 is not a car and doesn't exist in real world. I did it just to check how it works. And that is a result, 3:40. I know that could be much faster, i did spin, crash and in few corners wasn't brave enough to go flat out. But i will try in another car, maybe SLS :)
 
6:43 in stock puegoet 908. not the fastest car i own, but my fastest time alone. (haven't taken many really quick cars on it yet)

I've done it in 4:59 with a Dodge Viper SRT10 which has an amazing 1006bhp. :)

Which is exactly why OP asked for screenshots.... and even then I wouldn't be surprised to see a few people photoshopping times...
 
7'34 in my fully tuned F430 Scuderia lol.

I know its not the fastest time, but thats my first ever perfect lap on the 'Ring!(no spins, crashes or grass!)

Yay me.
 
I just took a Bog Stock Samba Bus with all its Rip Snorting 32 BHP Round the Nurburgring 24HR Change Weather Route in 18:34.306 :dunce:

Used Automatic gears though , so maybe theres a Few Mins i can still knock off that time :lol:
