It's a shame this game has no premium touring cars. I'd love to send a DTM Mercedes round this track, in cockpit view. :)

Well, it does have the IS-F Racing thing... that's as close as you'll get though. :(

Anyone who knows GT5 will clearly see all the aids are off on this car when I upload the vid! Its a god dam handful this thing, one lib on the throttle and it your up a tree.

Agree. The 787B is highly sensitive to throttle, which makes it well for learning throttle modulation.

Guys I was watching some of my old lap times with race cars, especially LMP / Group C, so here you are! All cars are stock, only aero, suspension and gear tweaks, on racing soft tires.

Great times fella 👍

Just as I was about to post new improved times
Just hit 5:34 in the GT One, 5:29 in the Minolta and down to 5:30 in the R8 '01...

Ah well, getting there :)

6:12.525 Fairlady Z Concept LM Race Car (A-Brick)

no mods, just abs 1.

can go quicker, if I can keep it on the track!

I think we should have a separate leaderboard where SRF can be used. I set a few laps earlier in a few different cars and one of them was ( in my opinion ) an epic lap, I hit every apex, used every bit of track but when I look at the board im 5 seconds shy of the time, this has to be SRF. But if we allow SRF in a different leaderboard, at least we know the times are all genuine.

Thoughts on that?

I'd stop doing this too if we'd allow SRF. A seperate board would be ok for me, but that depends of the guys who do the board updating of course.

Going to try the F40 tonight again. :)

I love this car, it's amazing and the sound is great, especially on high RPM's! I drive it with my DS3 controller with no aid's, just abs so it's quite a challange. My best so far is 5:53.*** :)

Just one question.
Is this rule still in effect or is it kinda ignored?

-Grip Reduction must be set to Real.

Maybe its the increasing amount of competition in here for faster times, but from what I can see in the videos, more curb jumping and two wheel shortcuts are being used.
Regardless since no rules are broken and the time isn't invalid so its all allowed, I just hope it doesn't become like this.

ps: Just realized that there isn't a R35 laptime on this list yet. :dopey:

Yes the rules are still there, personaly i see nothing wrong to get a wheel on the grass on some corners, but not like in this vid ^^^ it doesnt look close to realistic for one, and it would result in slower lap time without the SRF....

Theres a GTR R35 lap time, not sure wich R35 you refer to? :)

I just wish there was a way to see the setting used on the replay!

07:00.717 - McLaren F1 '94 (Andy89) BEATEN

After one hour of tries, this is my new best... My goal was to go under 7 and I think is possible, but it's getting harder and harder to improve the lap time xD

EDIT :

06:59.681 - McLaren F1 '94 (Andy89) UPDATED

Yeah baby!!! Tomorrow I'll post the replay, it was an almost perfect lap!

I think that with this car you can risk a lot more than with other cars, I found myself braking later in the McLaren F1 than slower cars like the 458 Italia, and it has a very high mid-corner speed compared to other cars, it's just awesome :)

Currently running it, just trying to see where i am at, no chance to beat your time tonight, been a though day at the job and it needed all the concentration i had :D, after 3 ''clean'' lap i am in the 7:01s, i know where i do errors but the problem is to keep the car going where i want it lol

hats off to you it really need to be an almost perfect lap!

Was looking for GTR instead of GT-R, so the search function didn't recognize it. :P

Make sense then! :D
You can still give it a try :dopey:

Andy,
Do you have an oil change done on the McLaren?

JTT
7.31.018 with honda NSX Type R '02 full stock

EDIT : OIL change

Im currently updating the spreadsheet and i think ill ask for a video on this one, since the old best lap time was done by zedextreme, and from what i know he can drive pretty good, 7 second faster doesnt look right, but who know! :)

I will update this time once the proof is posted. :)

EDIT:

Never tried again, so here's the submission & the replay (PAL version). Mike asked to see it, but I have no desirable means to record it for yt.

As stated, not a perfect lap by any means, did quite a few little mistakes and one big one too. Will try again to do better once this is beaten :D Truth to be told, I'm a little bit already waiting to see if the 2.0 will include proper leaderboards 👍
