Spreadsheet updated!
and videos added!

I have some questions, just to make sure it is right:

09:52.977 - Toyota Yaris RS Turbo (J) '02 (GTP_Manuelos)
I assumed you meant 08:52.977?

07:49.848 - Nissan 350Z '03 (US) (GTP_CSL)
I did an error, my game is in french, and EU(french) is the same as US(english), i didnt realized that until now... i will make sure the rest of the sheet is alright, the (Z33,EU) is the same as (US) you posted.
I couldnt add your time because of that since there is already one slightly faster, sorry my bad.:ouch:

That was a huge update, thx for all those new laps! 👍

As always, if anyone see an error let me know i will fix it.

As for the 7:06 ZR1 time, id need to see a replay of this before adding it. I know we can improve the 7:11 slightly, but i dont really see a 7:06 possible without skid recovery force. But who know! :)

Mike as always a great job! Thx!

And also I agree on the ZR1 time. Some times posted here seem downright impossible, like the F40 time, but that one has a video right?

Did you see my lap of it in my thread? I only managed a 7.31.614, 8-8! seconds slower than the record?! The ****...

Ok, I didn't oil change but still maaaaan where and how to find 8 freaking seconds...

Am somewhat reluctant to add times that I have managed to run. I have almost all cars in the game and am slowly making my way through all the cars at the ring in alphabetical order. (Am up to BMW M3 coupe '07). I leave all cars stock and basically get into them and run them at the ring.

Looking at some of the times posted, my times are no way near, so kudos to those racers. But looking at some other times, mine are far faster than those posted and do not want to post in case I get accused of cheating. I do spend alot of "virtual" time at the ring so I know my times should hopefully be above average but not fantastically unrealistic. I have put a couple of examples below of my times. I use a DS3 with automatic transmission.

Art Morrison Corvette '60 - 7m 34.321

Alfa Romeo 8C competizione '08 - 7m25.869

Looking at my Alfa time, would it be worth me posting my other good times? I would like to, to show off my ring skills, but not if a few accusations start flying around. :nervous:

You're right, well spotted 👍
Some new times comming up tomorrow :)

Just post them. I accused nobody, some times are simply very hard to believe. A 7.25 with the Alfa also, but I haven't tried this thing on the ring so yeah...
Also, you seem a decent/good racer, tell me your time with a stock F40, I would be interested if you can break through the 7:30's barrier. 👍

I understand you on that! :)

When i first posted my lap time in this thread i thought they were decent, i ran about 2-3 laps per car, and i thought there was not much thing to do to improve lol

i was so wrong! :scared:

A lot of time i couldnt see how they could beat some of the lap times by that much.

With all those lap times i been able to improve a lot, every details will make a difference.

I was curious about Timppaq lap time as well at first, but now i know he is really fast, his time is legit.

Lately i decided to give the F40 another try , and so far i am at 7:24.400, and i had a bad last part of the track, i could gain back 0.600 in other laps (but with bad first part..) its either a good first half and bad last part or vice-versa lol

If i combine the best sector i have a theorical 7:23.300, the only problem is to manage a clean lap with this car, its really difficult, it run like it is on a air hockey table. :D

And im sure Timppaq can improve his time. :)

Wolfman_UK,
Dont hesitate to participate, theres still some old laps in the list that no one tried to beat, so it will happen that we can beat them by several seconds.
And the opposite is also possible. :)

If you know your time is legit, just make sure you keep the replay, and get it on camera if needed, we will inspect the video if we are suspicious, but theres no accusation of any sort, its just to make sure it is fair for everyone :)

Oh and Mike, the time for the Toyota ALTEZZA AS200 in the spreadsheet, says '98 '00, so is it now the '98 version or the '00 version? Because it can't be both lol.

Wow! haha you guys are crazy!! good job! 👍

Im not sure of the model, i copied and paste the lap entry, Manuelos will have to let me know wich one it was. :)

I assume it was '98 but i am not 100% sure.

I saw that, but whatever the name was it appeared a totally different car.
1320KG?
IIRC the other versions (EU, Japanese) were significantly heavier.

Guess I'll have to drive her again. :mischievous:

I may be wrong though :), since my game is in french i assumed it may been the same model, yeah it has 1320kg 350Z '03

Does yours have 1320kg?

Been a while i didnt posted a time! should be able to post more in the next days!

07:23.354 - Ferrari F40 '92 (mike_gt3) BEATEN
Theres still some room for improvement as i did one or 2 error that cost me around 0.500 combined together, but i have no idea how much time id need to spend on this car to be able to do an almost perfect lap

The car now have 2238km! lol

Last edited:
Yup, 1320. I would have been more concerned if you ran that with a 1440KG car anyway.

I will post my times up over the next couple of days. Well, those that have beaten the current lap times. Unfortunately, I didn't save any replays as I didn't think about the need to post times as I never saw this thread. I might even re-do some of the laps just to get a replay. I have been doing these laps for months as I want to lap the ring with every car with the best possible time I can do. All my laps are white, as I do not believe in running "red" laps.

Alex P. I am yet to run the F40 at the ring. I will do it at the weekend and let you know my time. Having driven it before, I am expecting a fun, if not straight forward run. :)

oh, oh, nooo!!!! I'll think I'll have to try to get this one back... won't be easy though, haven't driven much lately. Maybe I just check the old lap I have in store (not the one I had posted here) :sly:

Good job 👍

My mistake :)
It needs to be like this:

08:53.727 - Toyota ALTEZZA AS200 '98 (GTP_Manuelos) BEATEN

There isn't an AS200 from '00

Next up are the Honda's, 52 standards to be precise :D
This is going to take a few weeks :sly:

I have to agree with you on the times seeming to be totally impossible. But then I had to think over about how much time do I spend even on GT (to be honest, I hadn't really played GT in month). I saw a time for the GT-R Black Ed., a 7:17, and went off and did like 5 or 6 laps trying to see where I compare. Best time out of those, a 7:34. A whole 17 seconds slower. Needless to say I was quite discouraged. I mean, where the heck is 17 seconds at? I know I'm not the fastest guy out there (far from it), but dang, I aint exactly slow either. Or am I? 17 seconds???? At least those were my thoughts initially.

Truth be told, it boils down to the fact that folks are putting in the laps and hitting these times legitimately which means I've got to put the some serious laps in too. (Can you say DUH with me???)

Hopefully I'll get a chance to post some quality times. Correction. Hopefully my wife gives me the chance to put in some time to post some quality times.

By the way, I tried the ZR1 also. That thing is TAIL HAPPY (but I have been driving the GT-R quite a bit lately). It takes a LOT of patience in the corners driving that thing. I know we can't change tires on production vehicles per the rules, but can I at least have my cat perform this mod?

When it dries I'm sure it'll do wonders to help the rear stick better.

07:22.864 - Ferrari F40 '92 (Timppaq) BEATEN

:sly:

No perfect, but good solid lap without big mistakes. Little sloppyness here and there, 0,5sec to go for me if you want to continue this :D

👍

First of:

Second: I'll be honest with you, a 7:34 with the new Nissan is slooooooowwwwwww, I did a 7:18 with it after a few laps, and I know mike and the other extraterestrials here can get it down to a 7:10 or so.
You need to play more often. 👍 :dopey:

If you're interested, you can find my lap of the Nissan in there, first page obviously:

I knew this was coming!! haha
I was curious to see if i could at least match the 7:23, i remember you said it was not a perfect lap, good job on this one! i dont think ill have the patience to try it, and id say 7:22.800 would be pushing it for me at this moment.

At least it made you play GT5 a little! :D

Awesome lap time! 👍

Thanks! Enjoyed the new more informative tire noises I must say. Gave me much more better understanding of what's happening.

Need to keep doing some more laps, just seems that there's always something in the way of having a good proper go. Today I was lucky and didn't have anything to do. Time well spent!

Thanks for the challenge, I know this time also will be beaten but I'm happy enough with it as it is.

Here's the crappy phone vid of the F40 lap, sorry for the quality.

Even though I'm happy with the time, I can see there's much trouble with the timing. At times it's good, but too many times I'm early in turn in (&braking) and a few times badly late. So, much to improve from here I believe. I think the biggest reason for this is the lack of seat time lately. There must be at least 1.0 sec to take off.. just get the timing right & use better lines at many points.

Still an awesome lap! i been able to improve 0.300 at 3nd split on my 7:32.354, but i always do something wrong after that, probably too nervous lol

I doubt ill be able to beat that, i know what to do but cant translate it into the wheel... will retry tomorow with a fresh mind, got a busy day at work :)

Thx for posting the vid, it will probably help me find what i do wrong. 👍

Well, you're 0,025secs behind per km, so I wouldn't say you're doing anything wrong!

And yes, it's a nevr game in the end. As you may notice, I don't have a "fastest lap" on my lap, as I just had taken a break and therefore just was giving it a go. That could be one of the resons I didn't lose it in the end :D

I hope you'll give it still another shot, I know you can beat the time. 👍 Nothing beats a little competition :dopey:

You are right :)

Im still happy with the lap i made, but i will for sure give it another try!:dopey:
I seen your video and i can see where you are faster, you have a great control of the car, with the weight transfer. I think i am not agressive enought in some area, it require a lot of control with this car though, ill try to work on that!

I had a quick try with the F40 although I already knew I'm never ever going to be that time. Ended up doing a 07.27.389, that thing is just plain madness.
Damn you aliens, 07:22.864 👍
