Yeah yeah yeah :P I will not be posting any times in the next few days.. Just wanted to post the rest of the times I had to get it done..

After that I think that's all, except for the Amuse's and the Art Morrison Corvette, or am I missing something?

Just thought that you had the list in Microsoft Word and copied into the first post.. But didn't see that there's a "numbered list" function in here (or what they call it) :)

Yep, it helps a ton! :D

UPDATE: I've added in your recent times. I think I got them all and more importantly in the correct categories. :)

Also, there are now 200 different lap times for production vehicles. 👍

Wow, almost 1/4 of the cars done.. Getting huge! From now on I will say, if the cars are new to the list or already existing, and also post the old time. Just to ease your pain :P hehe.. Maybe you should ask people to do that. If people know, they have beaten a time on the board, they obviously have checked, so it wouldn't be too much to ask for! :)

Btw, the Toyota FT86 is listed twice. Didn't see it on the list, hehe.. Don't know why I thought it was a production car..

Done on RS Tyres and I know it can go faster (I went off unfortunately at Tiergarten and in this car getting back on the track is hard as you have little speed off-road thanks to the fan). I've seen 3:29 been done before. :scared:

6:31.027 - Formula Gran Turismo
Again, I know I can go faster, I know 6:00 is doable, but maybe not by me. ;)

9:31.316 - Lancia Stratos '73

UPDATE: All updated. :)

7 minute barrier broken! Can obviously be improved as I'm not 100% pleased with it myself.

Actually my first go at the Ring in the X2010.. Was curious about how fast I could drive it.. And... Omg... Wow... Just... WOW!!.. I had the feeling of driving it a bit slow, which obviously is because I'm not used to the handling, so I'm very careful not to crash etc.. My DS3 almost broke :D I'm not gonna do another lap with that car for a long time!

Oh yeah, it was on RS tires..

And some new cars to the list:
06:37.382 - Chaparral 2D Race Car #7 '67 (niceness-dk)
07:50.972 - Buick Special '62 (niceness-dk)

Yeah, if you're not used to it, it's kinda scary. What surprised me most is how easy to drive it is at high speeds, even at 200mph it's fairly easy to drive. Though it's like you have to drive faster than you think you can, as though you think you can't go that fast around a corner when you can so you instinctively brake when you shouldn't.

On a 12.94 mile long circuit, to do a lap in certain times you must average the following speeds:

20:00 - 38.82MPH
15:00 - 51.76MPH
10:00 - 77.64MPH
09:00 - 86.27MPH
08:00 - 97.05MPH
07:00 - 110.91MPH
06:11 - 125.56MPH (Lap Record of Nurburgring)
06:00 - 129.40MPH
05:00 - 155.28MPH
04:00 - 194.10MPH
03:30 - 221.83MPH

So, you can go faster despite averaging 155.3MPH.

Caterham Seven Fireblade, 221 bhp, 556kg (with ballast), 450 pp on racing medium tires: 7:26.532 :)

Since the first post doesn't say anything about it, is Skid Recovery Force allowed? I hope that it's forbidden, because it's not an Aid, but a device that improve performance in my opinion, and I assume that every lap time here was done with no skid recovery force, right?

Technically I said in the first post that any aids are allowed, but what exactly does this aid do? If it has no disadvantages then it's banned, whereas something like TCS makes you slower but harder to spin out on the corners, so it works both ways.

Skid Recovery Force adds grip when you slide or lose grip. When you lose grip, with SRF off you would go out of line and lose time, but with SRF on the game would add grip, basically rewarding you for sliding/losing grip. That's why I asked that :) To me, this aid should be banned, because the physics is less realistic with it and as I said before, it only adds grip when you lose traction, grip or when you begin to slide.

Even though I'm quite used to the Skid Recovery I see at as a good thing, that you ban it.. I really want to get used to driving without it!

But... To change the rules after 240 lap times makes all the laps invalid in some way. Maybe it should say whether Skid Recovery has been used or not.. And if one has driven 7.40 in the F40 with skid recovery, and one has driven 7.45 WITHOUT skid recovery, the lap without should be on the board instead of the other one.. If you understand?

This way both skilled and unskilled drivers can contribute to the board, but the skilled are rewarded more in a way.. Thats my POV :)

Or we can have two separate boards, as it was in GT5Prologue, it seems perfect to me because in this way a person can do laps with or without SRF and be in a board if he's the fastest. What do you think?
And yes niceness, without SRF it's a lot better, you would enjoy the game a lot more because SRF tends to alterate the behavior of a car, trust me ;)
Anyway, another Lap Time without SRF :
7:28.514 Ferrari F430 '07

I'm not going to do this, as this would be too much effort to search through 240 lap times to check if SRF was used or not.

First of all thanks for this thread, it´s a nice place for ring crazies like me...

compared some times to mine which were quite close only to learn that the times from niceness-dk were done with skid recovery on :indiff:
i have no idea what to think of my times now. Best thing would be to proceed only with times with absolutely no assists like bonobo originally wanted.

I never wanted no assists. I originally wanted the choice of you can use any assists, as this enables any driver to compete.

I would like to repeat what many others have said and that is thank you bonobo4 for such a great thread.

After literally about 10 hours over the last 2 days I have managed to better the time in a BMW M3 Coupe '07.

All assists off except ABS-1, in car view and hide all instruments:
