Or we can have two separate boards, as it was in GT5Prologue, it seems perfect to me because in this way a person can do laps with or without SRF and be in a board if he's the fastest. What do you think?
And yes niceness, without SRF it's a lot better, you would enjoy the game a lot more because SRF tends to alterate the behavior of a car, trust me ;)
Anyway, another Lap Time without SRF :
7:28.514 Ferrari F430 '07

I took the Mine's Skyline (the premium one) for at spin without SRF... I crashed at Bergwerk.. BUT!... I beat my old time :D I feel the difference.. Much less forgiving. Gonne be a great challenge with the F40 and Yellowbird!:nervous:

Yeah, I myself don't know how I've done that 7:43 in the Yellowbird xD but I can say for sure that the Shelby Cobra is even worse, the chassis moves a lot when you brake and it messes up the balance of the car entering a corner :indiff:

The Shelby IS the funniest car in the game to drive imo :D

Oh! I'm definitely gonna try that out also. I've moved to a new place, and have no internet connection yet. So I've got time for lots and lots of practice :D

I agree there shouldnt be skid recovery allowed, especialy for cars like the RUF , cobra, etc...

I did all my lap time with no aids, except ABS 1, using a G27 wheel.
If the skid recovery helped people getting faster time then it would be nice and honest to redo their time without the skid recovery and repost their updated time even if its slower (or faster obviously...lol), for a more accurate list. If that sound right... and also make sure your lap is 100% legal, no cutting throught, meaning you are able to save your ghost replay...

:)

The list is going well!

People like you and me should just knock them off the list eh :sly:

Yeah, I save all my laps because I like to review my laps and enjoy the beautiful graphics this game offers, and to see a 458 Italia going this fast on the Nordschleife is awesome :D

I meant for more accurate result we should use the same setting, i dont bother redoing them with skid recovery if thats what people want :), but i prefer no aids and most lap time are done without it.

I agree with you mike_gt3 about no assists being better, from a fun challenge point of view, and deffo no skid recovery force.

Would be so much easier if any assist details were displayed when you choose which replay to view. In a future patch would be nice. Otherwise that means bonobo4 would have to sit through hours of replays to see if cars were getting remotely tail-happy or not. Talking of which, bonobo4 - do you want me to submit replays? Thanks again for your time in keeping this updated, it's getting pretty busy round here for you.

Does anybody know if assist data and what not is stored in the replay file that can be extracted somehow?

2 more:

8:20.947 Lotus ESPRIT TURBO HC '87 comfort soft

8:47.440 Lancia STRATOS '73 comfort soft

Three fresh lap times :

7:46.232 Lotus Esprit V8 '02
7:49.667 Dodge Challenger SRT8 '08
8:03.392 Toyota FT86 Concept '09

And others are coming ;)

Heres more:

7:19.514 Mercedes-Benz SLS 65 AMG '10 sport hard

7:20.249 Lexus LFA '10 sport hard

FOR THE SLS:
Ive accidentaly hit the grass at the T9 part of the track, around the Pflanzgarten 2 curve theres a place i couldnt keep it on the road and had all 4 wheel on the grass, i thought my lap wouldnt count but it did... i was may be 3 foot from the road,

I know i can do 7:20 flat without going through, but i never thought the game would allow to go through that part of the track...

This can probably shave 0.5 second depending the car you use, cars that can take that curve dont really benefit from that though... i was just going a little too fast on that part when it happened, ive then retest with full throttle all the way just to see if it was a bug and could still go through no problem and i even went further in the grass ... but i lost control after going back onto asphalt...

Do we allow that or not? the game allow it, im sure some have done it i have no problem with it, i think we should allow it since we would need to see everyone's replay to make sure they dont cut the curve...

What do you think?

7:42.536 Honda NSX Type R '02
7:59.648 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X GSR '07

Mhm, I am more for totally clean laps, but as you say we can't check every replay just for that... It happened to me once while I was lapping with the Lancer, but I restarted by myself because I don't like these type of "bugs" the game has. Let's listen what bonobo says ;)

Another two, I can do better with both anyway

6:40.637 Amuse S2000 GT1 Turbo
6:52.745 Mine's BNR34 Skyline GT-R N1 Base '06

Last one today, I think this is one of my best laps ever on GT5!

Good to know you think like me, i will try not going into the grass, thats the only car i did this so far.

7:19.768 Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren (19 inch wheel) no grass

I will have to redo all my old laps with the paddle shifters lol

Thats some fast lap! :)

I just saw that with that cut you don't gain so much, but since you done another clean lap, it's even better xD.

Yeah, I saw your great 7:19 with the SLS and I had to improve the 458 Italia Lap to keep it in front of the Mercedes xD I love so much that car!

I know, you just beat my time with 7 seconds xD
Damn ds3 :P

XD I remember how difficult was to do a clean fast lap on GT4 with the pad, but last year I made the decision of buying a wheel, best decision ever 👍
