Notice of Account Ban measures

Hei
I defend the good side of hybriding. Sorry for doing so. I don't use it to harm others. Sure you can say that hybriding will cause PD to change some things on GT6. YEt none of that has happened yet.

You are defending Hybriding in a thread about PD banning people for the bad side of Hybriding.

Even if your intentions are good its misplaced

Ah ok, so people don't actually disapprove of Hybriding. They are just on the bandwagon trying to fit in with the people who dont condone it. lol ...

more ignorance 👍

I didnt say that.

I was suggesting a possibility that runs rampant on the internet. Alot of people just follow to even have a fight they might not care either way

Edit: Yes I hybrid but I dont need to justify my actions to you or any other people.

I've stopped playing GT5 altogether. Their decisions with the game have numbed down any fun I would have with the game.

And I think you should be banned for being an ignorant moron, but you don't see that happening.

i think its mostly people jumping on the hate band wagon they just want to fit in.

I don't hybrid and am not interested in competing against hybrids, but the beauty is... I don't have to! I get to choose to do something else!

Get off my lawn!!!!!

I dont hybrid online never will but I am not going to try and justify doing either I simply dont have to.

I don't think this was a good idea, opening up a news segment about the ban measures relating to modifying game data and a thread about it. Its just asking for trouble, people are going to argue back and forth about how good or bad hybriding is.

I didn't want to get involved in it. There have been one or two times when I was interested, because of the ideas people come up with for their cars, but I've always been happy with everything the way it is. I'm not willing to get banned for a silly reason like this. If people want to do it so badly, then the best thing to do is not go online and keep the ps3's internet off.

I started it because it was important for the seasonals and the way they have developed over the past few months, but the thread has evolved way beyond that. I'm ready to shut it down whenever enough of us think it's served its purpose. Those who need to discuss this more can then do so freely over at NGU.

By that definition, if you've ever bumped the AI, the wall, someone else online or put more than two wheels past the white boundry lines of the track, used the Chaparrel 2J or Redbull X1, then I hope PD come down after you and wipe off everything you've ever achieved on GT5, or your data corrupts of it's on accord.

Just sharing your friendly logic.

bumping into opponents while racing or getting more than 2 wheels off tracks have 4 sec penalties in the races I set up. I run clean race lobbies, and when I do run into someone accidently I let them pass me and apologize. I don't care about winning such a race

racing incidents have nothing to do with hacking car stats or going off the map and looping around the finish line. glitching using exploits is cheating

I have 0 issues with Sony checking my save data as I don't cheat. and by the off chance your data ever gets corrupted you can contact customer support to resolve any issues. also a good idea to backup your data regularly so you minimize any loss of data.

PS I hate the redbull X1 car and never use it, I haven't even bothered trying to gold the Vettel challenge, only got bronze. the other challenge I failed was the eiger Alfa 8C and tried gold but only managed silver after many attempts. I can live with my limitations as a virtual racer.

A lot of my swaps make less power than they made stock. It's all about the noise and feel.

Lunarwolf I understand that you think glitching is cheating because in a way it is but, it has no impact whatsoever on the GT5 community so I don't know how you can compare glitching to hacking especially when glitching is the game developers fault and is already in the game unlike hacking things.

if you discover glitches then report it to Sony. that is the honest way. to use it for personal gain is completely dishonest. some peoples' moral compasses are way off.

for example, if someone forgot to lock the door to their house then is it ok to go in and steal because you deem it to be their fault?

btw you are not a spokesperson for the community, and it would seem that it does cause issues within the community if you read some of the posts, whether you agree or not is irrelevant

Wow, bad analogy. Unlike breaking into someone's house, using glitches in the offline portion of the game has no affect on anyone but the player who did it. And quite frankly, it's their business.

actually it does, such as having trophies, etc... they clearly don't deserve. a ban would most likely not affect you if you were offline anyway. and please spare me the I hack but I only use it offline excuse it's pathetic

what do you care about other peoples trophy's? mind your own damn business, and no i don't hack. as long as they don't bother the community playing the game it's none of your damn business how people play their games.

How do you know if they're serious or not about that excuse? And this is a old game that failed at lasting appeal. This so called hybriding revived the game for some.

Well, if you ever ran off the track gaining advantage in an area where you didn't get a penalty then you deserve to be banned, or all your statistics and progress have to be reset and your name has to have the prefix GT5cheater_, following your logic.

(...) and by the off chance your data ever gets corrupted you can contact customer support to resolve any issues.

Yeah right, good luck on that...

also a good idea to backup your data regularly so you minimize any loss of data.

So you are using functions outside of the game to have a personal gain? That's totally absolutely cheating!!!

As it's been said, bad comparison. Stealing property is not the same as winning something in a virtual game.

btw you are not a spokesperson for the community, and it would seem that it does cause issues within the community if you read some of the posts, whether you agree or not is irrelevant

Same goes for you. We're a discussion board, our opinions are equally important.

Hei
A lot of my swaps make less power than they made stock. It's all about the noise and feel.

Succinct and to the point. 👍👍 I've pretty much given up on chassis swaps as I think they are unnecessary if you know how to tweak the grip multiplier. I prefer the stock handling/balancee of many cars, they just don't seem to have the overall level of grip they need to be competitive and PD recognizes this by giving them extra HP, although not enough to compensate for the lost grip. A small tweak to the level of grip, a resulting loss of HP down to the level of the competitive cars at a given PP and voila, you have stock handling, a little more grip, often quite a bit less HP, but a competitive car now that grip/hp is balanced.

And no, I don't use my realistic hybrids in Seasonals, but I wish I could...lol...:sly:

That actually sounds more accurate, yeah. Back in February when no one knew quite what was up with them, sure. Some of these self-righteous "I hope they are banned from PSN and their saves deleted because morality" responses were possibly justified then.

I will admit to having considered hacking a few cars into the game (X2010 JP Flag, Red Bull 5G, etc) as what they actually are, but I know that that's pushing the limits. Might set up another account for it, keeping it offline and just have fun with it.

As for the hacks that allowed insane camber angles, slammed rides, and other such, I hope that PD sees this as what it is - a demonstration of a feature that a noticeable amount (even if not majority) of their customers want to see added to the game. In other words, PD, don't throw us out for not playing by your established rules - see what rules were broken and what can be done to allow us to do it legitimately.

The people who are disapproving of Hybrid's seem familiar with the Mario Kart 7 Maka Wuhu cheat. They're whining the same way about hybrids as they were about Maka Wuhu.

So now there's a maintenance notice for the 23d and 25th of April - tuesday and thursday next week.
Let's see what PD have up their sleeve ;)

How about an add-on which analyses your save game when you're offline, then reports back to PD when you go online again and renders edited saves unusable?

Or a dlc to allow us to make changes that hybrids bring? :embarrassed:

(Insert sarcasm).
