November 25 - New Australian release date

HAHA funny how my PS3 decides to get the "yellow light of death" right now!!
god help me lol. i mean its had four years to do this... and it decides to do so 12 days before release!:ill:
 
i was actually going to start a thread regarding this, gran tourismo australias site says the 24th and ign says the 25th. after calling alot of game stores they also say the 25th even though this directly conflicts with the official word from pd. did sony aus just move the date to fall on the thursday to make use of the typical "thursday late night shopping" hours?

I'm in the same boat. Died (for the second time) mere hours before the date was released :(
 
unlucky guys, i think my ps3 has been used about 4 times in the last 3 years....the only reason i purchased it was in preperation for gt5. so its still good as new...hopefully
 
Old news.. EB had this advertised on Saturday, so I went in and preordered a copy. Hell yes ladies.. bring it on. The longest 11 or so days ever.
 
Any news on the NZ release date? my EB Games still says 30/11. I wouldn't be surprised if that is the actual release, Sony probably don't even know what New Zealand is.
 
Can we get a list of confirmed midnight release`s from stores in here for aus. Would be a handy list for us to have.

Btw Jordan has updated the news section with confirmed release for Aus & NZ for the 25th.
 
Just wondering is the Standard edition still getting the cover with the red SLK? or is it all the more dull gray shaded picture of the SLR now?
 
Depending on what time my local game shop opens I could be playing as soon as midnight on the 25th...
Cant wait to pick up my signature edition. Will be booking in a couple of days off work aswell....
 
I'll definitely search around Tuesday/Wednesday for broken street date. Whirlpool forums will likely post something up if someone finds a copy in Australia. You could probably convince a clerk to break street date if you show them the pd website saying 24th.

Don't think anyone is doing a Midnight launch due to late notice + they already had one for blackops last week.

Worst case scenario I'm going to 24 hour kmart at midnight to nag for a copy.

I thought both covers were identical in layout, both showing the new SLR AMG, with the normal cover in colour and the premium cover in a more stylish greyscale?

Non-gaming stores are great at this... particularly Myers.

I asked a nice bloke there once if he could check the back room to see if they had any copies of GT5:P. He found one and gave it to me a day before EB games were allowed to start distributing. I’m trying this again for GT5. :)

Edit: I'm booking sick leave for the 24th and 25th.
