Hey Earth ........ I'd be happy to do some HD film work in the races tomorrow night if you would ok it. If there aren't enough spots on the grid or you think I would be in the way, I won't attempt it. Your film work inspires me and I'm sure there would be much better detail in the HD resolution I shoot in. I record in 1920 x 1080p which when shrunk down to 720p as YouTube requires, really pops on the full screen :sly:

hey earth, if you dont mind, id like to add a couple of changes to the entry list-

Also notice an area for teams or drivers to declare their color of car for an event so teams can know which team/driver is running which color.

I am currently working on rules for a team and tuner championship for next season.

And as always, if you are in clubman cup remember to DMZ your PS3. This is accomplished by logging into your router, finding DMZ, usually under firewall, and giving it your PS3's IP address. If you don't have a router you will be fine.

Not sure I'll make it tonight - was in the 1'49s with quick practice/tune late last week.

So at the end of this 8 week stretch, you step back and re-org the cup participants based on points? And what's up with the team stuff?

I don't think I'll join any rounds for now.
The internet on my country is over saturated because everyone is at home waiting for the flu thing to pass. I just can't get a good connection to online races, I get kick out every time. I hope I can get to race again soon but if I can't so be it, it's been nice so far guys and I'll like to thank you for the fun. :(

Yes. In season 1 the participants of each series was changed every week depending on your results, but for season 2 and beyond participants of each series only change every 8 weeks/season.

Because of the low numbers in OrangeR this season the top 6 in Clubman Cup points will move up to OrangeR. Rofajole and FLASH48 will drop down due to being inactive.

I would like the number to be fixed at 4, 4 as in the number of drivers from each series that move up or down after each season based on their final points position and or being inactive.

You can team up with another driver. Share setup information, score points towards a team championship, and work together on track, whether it is giving each other room to turn in fast laps or blocking another driver to let a quicker teammate up front get away.

There will be a tuner championship. Each driver can declare the tune he is using for a particular race. Whether the tune is private or from one of the Garages does not matter. The tune a driver uses may change from race to race. Points will be paid out as driver points are. At the end of the season the Tuner/Garage with the most points collected will be the Tuner Champion.

Earth: Are you going to keep track of team points as well?

I will start with this round. However since it is at such late notice (some dont have teams yet) I'm not sure if it would be fair for there to be an "official" team or tuner champion for this season.

What do you think?

Stay safe man. Hopefully that thing passes and we can get back to the old times.

I'm not sure really :dopey: I think it would be nice to keep track of the team/tuner points asap, even if it's just for fun 👍 Maybe we can add up the results from the previous races once teams are formed later in time. That would seem fair enough IMO.

BTW, I'm using my own tune for the race tonight (TA tune).

That is a good idea. As the drivers team up their results from previous races will count towards the team Championship.

So a quick calculation of the teams points standings would be

183 - Team BBR
169 - C&H Racing

The result tables for teams and tunes will be different, I would like to make allowances for each team/tuner to have a small logo, maybe 150x150 or 200x200 or larger next to their points instead of just text.

oh by the way have you settled on a car color for the team timeattack?

Nice 👍 I'll make a team and tuner logo later on when I have some time :)

To answer your question. Our car color is going to be white, at least when that color is available.

Guys, I hate that this situation has come up, but I may not be able to make some (or maybe all) of tonight's races due to an issue that has come up on my job. If I do happen to start a race and have to quit/pull over, I just wanted to give everybody a head's up as to what is going on. Oh well, looks my little streak of points finishes is out the window :( I was hoping to rack up points with my consistency if nothing else

Earth, I am a white team color. 90% of the cars I run are white. Thanks.

I will be able to make it tonight.

My finishes (in order)

3rd, 1st, 2nd, 2nd

Thanks, Earth again! Great racing, I really enjoy it with you guys. If we can establish the rule that I discussed with Earth (about letting the non-GTP guys in front at the start of the race), we might have some even more interesting racing ahead of us!

I'm not sure of my finishes, I'll double check I have all 4 races on video :sly::) I'm going to put them on youtube asap.

Not great racing for me tonight.
First race I got the win but was battling against a duo of Subaru morons.
Second race I made a couple mistakes and got a VERY questionable shortcut penalty for being wide at the exit of the left hairpin after 100R. Very questionable indeed, I saw plenty of guys go completely wide unpunished. It ruined the rest of my race.
Third race, don't remember. A lot of GTP members gave up for some reason. I was fighting with a yellow Lancer in the back of the pack.
Last race was the most fun, but I must say (and I include myself), a lot of questionable passing attempts. I was surprised a couple times by some erratic lines, not very clean racing. In the end I was victimized by a fellow GTP member with yet another "ramming" penalty although we barely touched and if anything I helped him make his corner. :grumpy:

Oh well good fun nevertheless. The videos should be good, I'll let you know when they're online! :dopey:

And MKAY, if you want we can be teammates, I like your style and we have comparable speed 👍

The usual apologies for anybody's race I ruined, it wasn't intentional as I'm sure other people ruining mine wasn't either haha.

EDIT: I finished 1st, 5th, 3rd, and 5th.

Sorry guys. I wasn't able to make it. I had to look a roofs with my parents because we are getting a new roof for free because of hurricane damage.(yeah, from hurricane Wilma).

I will be at the next round. Hate that I had to miss this. I really thought I was going to make it on time. T_____T

It was a great night of racing for me and my teammate :) I'll throw some videos up later tonight when I have a chance 👍

My results:

Race 1: 1st
Race 2: 1st
Race 3: 1st (Rafajole was the only other driver in this race, as the LR-Racing crew had 6 or so drivers that continually entered each of the 4 races at the same time as us :indiff: Hopefully it was just a coincidence 👍)
Race 4: 1st

From now on it may be best to PM our race dates/times to each individual involved in the Championship, that way we don't get any party crashers  Nothing against you LR guys, it's just that it takes away from the orginization and fairness of our Championship races.

Okay, then. You are my teammate. Congrats! :dunce::dunce:
You can choose the name (what about Team MMM? Team MM&M? Scuderia MMM/MM&M? Team M&M? M&M Racing? M&M GP?).

About the color, what about Black? Or Yellow?

Not a particularly stellar night for me, but what the hey, the GTP vs. GTP racing was fun. To bad there was one particulary nasty punter in two of the races. Maybe we need some consolation points for the most egregious punt of a GTPer by a non-GTPer, in a race? I believe Earth would have earned them, hands down, in race 2.

DNS, 2nd, DNF, DNF

And, snakegt40, that was a perfectly acceptable pass into the chicane in the last race (OK, maybe just a tad rough, but I've certainly had worse lol). I saw you coming up the inside, and left a little extra room, but not quite enough. Just a light bump. At least I didn't get a Ramming Penalty lol No problem. 👍

First off

I want to apologize to anyone whom I might have ruined due to my aggressive racing. I pride myself on being as clean as possible, but when I am rubbed a certain why or raced a certain why I race them back the way they raced me. So if you didn't give me room, them I didn't, if you decided to use my car as a wall on corner exits, I had no problem sliding into you on 'accident'. If you rammed into the back on me on corner entry, I didn't have a problem cutting you :censor: off then next. Sorry mKay! (that was a nasty thing to do race 1 to the line last lap.)

I again apologize to those of you who I did not ram into on purpose. I don't under brake in the corners normally. But I was a victim of some individuals who don't know how to brake when 2 feet from someones bumper.

I want to point out one individual tonight, Canes. Thanks for all the love taps mate. It really completed my night and made things so much better. As if they couldn't get much worse with the two Subers that ruined the racing and rammed many off the track.

I would also like to point out the blatant cheating of many individuals tonight. The run offs are NOT part of the track. I am guilty of it myself, but there are many who used the run offs each lap. It does improve your time, but its not part of the track, and in a real race, you would be black flagged. Next time I want to see ORL etiquette. I have you (the cheaters) on video, so you can't deny you were going off the track. The green is still part of the track, but both tires off the green is considered a diry lap. You should be DQ for the laps you ran. But its not my place.

Take my words for what they are worth. But you gentlemen are better than what I saw and raced tonight. If the racing continues to be like this in the future, I will have no part of this tournament.

My final words, I know the racing was GREAT to some. And I am glad you had a blast. I just hope in the future we can race each other a lot cleaner than we did tonight. No hard feelings, and to night won't start some kind of riviary for me with anyone. Thanks for the races. Later.

My results:
2nd
4th (PP violation)
DQ on lap 4
1st

The non-GTP dudes must be a non-factor.
Furthermore, to enhance the experience, I'd recommend all of you guys to join the pre-race chat session. Seriously.

EDIT (regarding CWR's post): Sorry, CWR. As far as I am concerned, I admit that I've used the run-off areas sometimes (last corner) but not on purpose. Car was understeering big time. However, I agree with you about the fact that we need to race as cleanly as possible. Any blatant violation of the rules may result in a DQ or in a 1-place penalty or something like that (I am not trying to make the rules, rather suggesting one).

EDIT #2: God, I hate the F40. Wish it was the F430 instead.

Wow. With all the hits I took tonight I'm surprised to see my name called out.

Don't worry about me ruining your night next week; I'll race elsewhere. 👍
