SIGNUPS are now permanent, once you sign up you are good to go for the rest of the 8 week season.

- At the end of the race just write down your finishing position compared to the other GTP members. If you finish up front use the extra time to write down the finishing position of the others to ensure everything is recorded in case they don't see the results.

yo earth would it be possible for me to be placed in the orange cup since i cannot connect to chad? thats the main reason i dont participate in the championship races.

Hey Earth,

I think we should call this round the F40 "Swagger Cup" in honor of the beast from Maranello (and DK as well 👍 who I believe coined that phrase in connection with this car) , cause the F40 has Swagger to spare :)

*cpp realizes DK is now in Orange R cup*

*cpp resigns himself to getting owned even more than usual next week*

*cpp wishes one of the drivers listed above would tie a rope to cpp's front bumper so he can keep up for more than half a lap next week*

Hey earth. quick question: any reason for r2 tires? I would have thought r1 better to run close to stock power and weight?
R2 is fine too but it will take away a lot of the challenge if we reduce power and make it heavier won't it?

I'll find a way to let the drivers choose the tires as well next round

No worries, I don't think it's all that bad to have fixed tires, it allows for closer racing; was just wondering why R2, but apparently it's quicker overall so why not? :)

Other than that, GTP_Mkay and myself are a team now, Scuderia M&Ms. :lol:👍 Logo and Color TBD, this week will be red anyways. :sly:
 
I did that with R1. There is so much grip with R2 though, especially for me (since I am using a SixAxis).

S3: 2'16.1
R1: 2'12.3
R2: 2'10.1 :dunce::dunce::dunce: (however, I am constantly around 2'10.5/6

I did 1 lap with R1 tires, so its not really what I call an accurate reading. I was mainly doing my testing with S3, because I thought we were going to user lower tires.

I think you are on pace then mkay, judging by hams first reading.
 
2'08.009 with r1's

its about a half a second faster with r2's, but it still needs to be tuned some more.

Yeah, I am happy, but my first and second sectors are horrible though. I think I can shave off 1 second from this lap just by being much smoother on the throttle.

I just tried and I'm running 2'09"3 regularly and comfortably. The trick with this car is that I can very well be comfortable at 2'09.3, but if I try to go any faster, the car is quick to remind me that it's still an F40, even if it's emasculated with it's R2 tires, added weight and lower power :)

Just kidding, but as a huge Ferrari fan, it physically hurts me to have to switch gears at 7,000 rpm because it doesn't have the power to go to 8,000 haha.

Back to the subject, I'm feeling pretty good with a very basic setup, now I'm going to fine tune everything to see if I can win any time without sacrificing this comfort (which will be very important in a 10 lap race, to avoid mistakes).
 
I am so surprised Clubman Series racers! You guys have closed the gap on m..a lot. Where there was almost a second of speed between us, now there is 2-300's! I am so proud of you guys. Another second to shave off and you can compete with PAL guys! 👍

I look forward to a CLEAN and competitive race next week.

That's what I told you Chad. I was quite rusty when I came around at first. Not anymore. Plus, I'm re-learning to drive MT with the SixAxis.

Now, lapping well below 2'10, but lacking consistency.

The car is very stable and easy to drive, perhaps too easy, it has a bit of a push.

Get back to work! Race pace was low 2'09 for me. Linpark was race pacing high 2'08's! Ten lap race Earth!

I need to loosen the car up, some corners it feels like I'm out of the throttle forever. No forward bite.

Who knows, maybe with more practice I can be competitive with godly PAL drivers

I'll work with you on a tune. I having the same issue, just not as bad. A good tune will take car of most of that!

Lin got it down to 2'08.1xx, you should get back to work.

EDIT:

Since this is a Time Trial ATM. In race consistent Low 2'08's Best 2'08.1xx :)

BEST 2'07.801 I left .500th out there. ~ I lost .300 in the last sector. :( :)

S1 = 56.2 (I did a 56.1 before)

I did some adjustments to the car and now I am in the consistent low 9 range. I ran a 95 followed by a 93

I looked at the replay to see how the car was behaving, you could see the front tires smoking everywhere. Lets just say the understeer was pretty bad.

I wish the max turn angle would go higher then 50, I hate having to turn the wheel so much. I like to turn it as little as possible, especially since I am using the small DFP.

The thing I like about the PAL drivers is how clean they try to race, and if they see you also trying, they get even cleaner. And, you know, cleanliness is next to godliness. :)

I still have a huge understeer problem, but if I try and get rid of it all together the car may become unstable and hard to keep on the track for 10 laps.

Whoa... is that time still with the same tune? I'm going to look at it tonight again and try to fix the issues... after that Im heading to Fuji 600PP with the R34 Nur-Spec :)

Blitz if you fixed those issues, I would catch the car on fire because it will break the speed of light! It is your tune, somewhat, but I have my changes in place, and I have gears from my team mate. I doubt I will be able to go as fast as a 2'07.4-5 in a race, but I think I can punch high 2'07's.

Cool man, I will definately take a look at it tonight and try to either get rid of the issues or significantly lessen them if possible. I'll let you know my findings ASAP 👍
