"Okay", why dont you call kick out vote then? And why doesnt the host kick them? Must be a idiot host in that case. Otherwise you can quit.

You know you can always leave the lobby if its that annoying or if your trying to get a good lap around the track just try to avoid them on the straight.

I agree with the rest of the group you should calm down, it seems quite asinine for you to say or even want to go to that extent over a stupid game. It's just a game get over it. On the other hand I tend to agree here, I too get tired of everyone on GT lobbies always wanting to drag race but a good number or times not putting it in the title. There are a number of us that would like to drive a car around a track and not just in a straight line all the time. I do hope that GT puts in a few drag strips next game but I doubt it.

Yeah I agree, cause if we had a drag track it would make the game more fun and people would be able to have another competitive part of GT. They could compare times and what not. I remember taking my evo 6 to the drag strip in GT4 all the time and trying to pull of 8 second quarter miles. Fun times.

Come down!
You're the next contestant on The Price is Right!

Not even sure if he's talking about his own room, or public rooms. That's what you get with free-run though... free to run wherever you see fit.

Yeah, drag track with time and tree would be possible, since we allready have timing system and "lights" when to launch. We just need straight tracks for 1/4 mile, 1 mile, and 2 mile, with start point and finish point. Then again, if you start the race, it would be hard to chouse which cars to challenge. When we doing street drag we can race which ever cars we want, and some times run 2, 3, or 4 people at a time.

It wouldn't be that hard, just set it up like a local drag strip. You race, you go on to a run off road that leads you back to the tree. There could also be a paddock/garage so you can switch cars if you want. That's the best way I see setting it up.

Don't worry bro I wanna do the same most of the time.. The biggest piss off is if it says "FF Honda drag" and there's skylines, supras, evo.. Etc.

It's very annoying to me. Not people doing it wrong in rooms, that rarely happens. The astronomicla amount of rooms that I swear I see every day. Drag racing rooms as far as the eye can see, drifting rooms, NASCAR rooms. It's impossible to find any decent racing rooms anymore.

Exactly what about drag racing is competitive?

DUrr Push button and the guy with the faster car wins.

Obviously like any form of racing, if it were that simple you, me, or anyone here would be doing it professionally. Also it's not that simple as pushing a button, set ups are quite important. Too much power to any drivetrain will just spin your tires which only hurts your reaction time and acceleration. Weight is a key factor as well, tire choice and the list goes on. Also it's funny cause you actually assume here that everyone is using a dual shock...some people actually like to have a driving experience and use the Logitech. Which seems like you use...but
OK8

that would say otherwise if you think the general population just does that. Also the guys who do manual transmission have another issue that can screw up a race. But you seem to be a master racer so who am I to argue, right?

Ya I joined a room with all espanitos drifting when it clearly stated real race and 500pp etc. I'm like change this to drift and change all the other stuff so people no what's going on here. They just ignored me and kept speaking Spanish.

Drag racing is very competitive because depending on how you tune your car, you will either lose or win. The interest of drag racing in huge, just look at all drag rooms, and all threads in the tuning section about drag tuning.

My yellow F40 is a sweet ride, right up until the ~16 minutes I've invested into my track run comes to a dead stop thanks to a dragster type going the other way down the straight...

Not even driving on the side of the road?

Ultimately I blame PD, but I wonder, would GT5 be a complete flop without the Dragsters & Nascar folk? Probably, if you look at the lobby numbers...

Actually there arent that many drag racing rooms as it should be. But yes, thanks to drag racing the online activity is rather big.

I have to agree with TT3AZ, cause I see far more nascar events then anything else, but I also see a great number of events that are random road course races as well, then you have the good amount of drag. I really think it has more to do with looking around, cause I went online tonight and actually had this thread in mind when I looked around and found that many of the rooms where these three catagroies. Random road course breaks down into more types but I feel I'd be splitting hairs then.

Maybe there should be an option if you are hosting a racing lobby and some prick decides to drive backwards down one of the long straights, they should get automatically kicked.
