I think that serious information and media campaign will begin as soon as Gears of War 3 momentum pass.

GOW3 releases tomorrow and there is one week of initial campaign. So I presume next week as a start of the real FM4 campaign.

Microsoft does not want to overlap campaigns and information flow for 2 of their most important first-party releases in 2011 so this whole stand-by is somewhat expected.

That would be true if there was a ton of hype surrounding Gears of War 3...which...I haven't seen any. Feels like there's more hype for FM4 than Gears 3. My theory is the press lockout lifts on Friday and we won't see or hear anything until then...and then they'll just reveal everything within the final two weeks before the game is launched.

I never said it did. Turn10 mentioned that their press blackout lifts on Friday and that they'll be releasing a bunch of stuff next week. I bet part of that is the full car and track list.

No they aren't direct competitors but Microsoft has been known in the past to keep other games a bit quiet when they have something current hitting the shelves even if they aren't in the same genre. Think about it, we're talking about Gears right now, Microsoft already won. lol

Not sure if you've just completely shut off your TV or what, but Gears is starting to get a lot of advertising lately with its "Brothers to The End" tagline. Even Best Buy is pushing it to have Pre-Orders at their stores. Have not seen a lick of Forza advertisement except for the silly, "Buy a laptop, get a free Xbox" commercial. Which coincidentally, also has advertised Gears of War 3.

The RS3 might be a possibility because they didn't have the S3 previously, but I wouldn't hold my breath for RS version of cars that have their S models in FM3.

Don't see why not. The RS5 and RS3 are both 2011 cars and they are Audi's top models, excluding the likes of the R8 and RS6. T10 seem to have a knack for giving us the latest and most desirable models.

Man, that is all I see is Gears 3 hype. It's like an infection and it's everywhere. My copy arrives Thursday actually. Pretty excited about it.

Agreed. The new episode of American Chopper was on last night and Paul Jr built an insaine looking trike based on Gears of War 3.
