Mhh I must say I prefer PD´s tactics before they release an game... No infos till release... Soon we know every bit of FM4 and there will be no more surprises...

So you prefer the "$60 Grab-bag" option?

It might just be me and a few others, but when I drop $60, I prefer to know why I'm dropping $60, or $90 in this case, on.

EDIT: That Z/28 is beautiful.

Is that first shot from turn 1?

It's hard to judge the sharpness of the turn from that angle.

In that case, I'm sitting here looking at that turn while in a Challenger, and other than the shape of that house and the fact there are trees and a hill, I see no similarities at all.

Not even the same color grass, or barrier shape and color, or amount, location, and size of the trees.

Which begs the question.....

Why does that track look the same as FM3?

When was the last time you drove on Maple Valley in FM3?

Hm, let's recap about what happened with that strategy-

1. People were raging about the lack of premiums

2. People were raging about the horrible weather effects

3. People were raging about the standard cars looking like 🤬

4. People were raging about all the bugs and glitches

5. People were just raging at it in general

This could all have been fixed if they had released more info then they had.

We knew about all those (excluding 4 and 5) before the game released. PD has a bigger mouth than T10. Maybe this belongs in the GT vs FM thread?

Define "we".....

I was expecting the weather effects to be solid, in all of the trailers and videos they showed them working very well.

I expected there to be few premiums, but I was hopping for at least a little bit of post release content.

I knew there would be standards, and I was expecting them to look bad, but what we got was far beyond that.

It's not how much they say, or who has the bigger mouth, it's what they say. As far as I can tell T10 has said more about the parts of the game that matter than PD ever did.

Fair point. Not sure why I even bothered replying.

I guess I'm just feeling irritable today. I usually ignore that kind of stuff entirely.

By "we" I mean an extremely large number of people.

Weather effects looked the same to me. The biggest difference was they were first seen through compressed youtube videos. Makes you think those ruff edges are only there because of youtube.

They said they were having ~200 premiums and ~800 standards and they even confirmed the standards were ported from previous GT games. Some people in their ignorance decided that GT "standards" were going to be on the level of Forzas cars for what ever reason and thus were disappointed.

As I said, it was all known, some people just decided that they didn't want to accept the truth until the game was on their own screen.

And now I prefer this

We've reached the moon!!! ^
Amazing picture...now I want to go play, and I finally saw the commercial for the game last night and think it looks awesome. I must play it first to truely be sold.

LMP1 diesels have a performance index advantage like real life so 👍 Turn10.
LMP2, eh could have more...
LMPC will be reskin city.
GT1  just need some more older GT1 cars.
GT2, as again needs more newer GT2/E cars.
GT3 really needs to be fleshed out (SLS, MP4-12C, DBRS9/Vantage, etc).

Still, makes me very very happy.

Mitch I'd kiss you but I'm just not that guy!!! this list makes me happy. 007 is what really makes me happy, just wish I could race the R18. Oh well

I'm hoping there's more to come, definitely some of the older GT1 cars wouldn't go astray nor would any current GT2/E cars (praying for them in DLC).

The #2 Viper is an SCCA car. And the CLK-GTR is GT1 class as is the racing Toyota GT-One which is in.

The CLK-GTR is the street version, the racing version hasn't been announced.

Thanks on the Viper though, wasn't too sure....

One other tantalizing tid bit, the Pagani Zonda R is an R2 car with a PI of 872 which means it's essentially GT1 class

Multi class ALMS racing is going to be awesome :dopey:

That Zonda interior is just incredible.:drool:

Even in TDU2 its pretty crazy looking inside. The TDU2 Zonda interior is even better detailed than F3 Zonda interior. Cant wait to see the F4 interior up close. That steering wheel looks almost exactly like the MOMO Trek Alcantara Steering wheel we put in our 67 Fastback Mustang. :)
And wow those paddle shifters are massive!

Amazingly nothing to add to the LMP and GT car list other than the Toyota GT-One in LM-GTP...

One surprising thing is that both the GT-One and Speed 8 are LM-GTP cars but they kinda bridge the gap between LMP1 and LMP2 PI wise. Put a fast driver in a P2 car and an average one in a GTP car and it'd make for some interesting racing :dopey:

I've omitted certain cars that fit the class and PI range as they're not LMP or GT cars (SuperGT is more prototype but closer to being 'touring cars') aswell as leaving out cars that are the road going version of GT1 race cars (1993 McLaren F1, 1997 McLaren F1 GT, 1998 Nissan R390, 1998 Mercedes-Benz AMG Mercedes CLK GTR, 2004 Saleen S7).

Hopefully what Dan said about the 'passing challenge' in that 20 minute vid (he passed 19 cars, yes, 19) means we'll get some big grids to make the multi class racing exciting, can you imagine being in a GT1 car and passing LMPC and GT2 cars whilst the P2 and P1 cars blow past?
