Congrats on the MotW and the marriage! Well deserved Katie.

No gift registry? I'm disappointed.

I wasn't going to buy anything, I just wanted to see what embarrassing items you placed on the list.

Congrats on achieving something that I likely never will. :P:tup:

There are other things I could or should say, but right now I'm stuck on how old I am. You were born in 1997?! I was graduating high school and getting ready for college. I was mastering Gran Turismo before you could walk.

Suddenly, I want to step between you and all these creepily obsessive guys and give them all a fatherly glare, with arms crossed, and tell them they need to find a new obsession for the next 10 years.

And since you are closer to my daughter's age than mine (I am 🤬 old), could you explain what caused a girl to be interested in the predominantly masculine world or cars?

I was already in my second year of university...

In fact I was older then than katiegan is now. And this will continue until 2017.

Katiegan could be my granddaughter my daughter was born in 1977, I requested her for this because of how mature her post were and her love for Bruiser. And you think your old!

Here's something special for Bruiser:

You guys all talking about how you are older than her, I'm younger than her by around 6 months.

Thanks guys! I'm still quite surprised that I managed to get it, I must be doing something right!

I'll get working on wedding preperations - you're all invited!

Great interview, and congratulations to the happy couple! :P
Danny will not be happy about this.
Has Danny been informed of this marriage? Does he approve? :P

Danny will just have to accept that we're in a triangle now... I've seen the way he looks at you, Daniel! You can have him now!

I suppose I'm the youngest MOTW then too, huh? I didn't realise people would find it so surprising!

!

I was pretty much born into it. My dad has always been a car nut and my mum was into Vespas and Lambrettas when she was younger so they're both interested in the automotive world. As a child growing up I spent a lot of my weekends at car shows, meets and track days, always eager to help my dad with the car. This adoration I had as a child has continued into my teens and my passion is forever growing. The fact that it's very male dominated doesn't scare me at all, even when I was younger I was always one of the boys!

Oh, well thank you very much! :D

Aw, thank you! 👍

Ken Block is 45? What the hell?

46 on November 21st! He didn't start rallying until he was 39.

I never would have guessed you were so young, Katiegan. Sorry about Bruiser, I recently gave up my first car so I know how that hurts.

Congrats Katiegan!
I just found this thread xD, I guess I should pay more attention to the GTP off forums...

I'm surprised such a question isn't a standard in the interview. Mr. Terronium?

I like to hear about people's introductions.

I've asked people to pose questions since the beginning!

Is that one you'd like added to future interviews?

I don't really trust anyone who wasn't born before I started high school in 1996.

I mean... they never watched Damon Hill win the F1 title first hand! Or witness Colin McRae doing donuts after winning the WRC in 95! Too many motorsport memories missed through nonexistance. I mean, I'm a bit wary of anyone who wasn't born in the 1980s or earlier, if I'm honest...

Oh, and given Katie's age it's terribly, horribly wrong to post this, but it's too good to pass up on:

Katiegan
I've squeezed mine a few times in frustration

Out of context quotes for the win.
