Official Shift 2 Show Off Your Custom Livery Thread

To show off a little here too :D here are my weapons of choice for Sundays Legends racing league meeting! Mini:

Skyline... Everybody remember to stay outta my way in this race, I cant control that car at all - like the Datsun at Rouen! :D

And the glorious, glorious Bimma... What a car! (imagine Clarkson voice)

Just got the game 2 days ago (exchanged gt5 to get it). I played shift 1 up til tier 4, but never could make a solid custom livery that was along the lines of the preset racing-style ones.

But I just figured out yesterday that in shift 2 you can copy/mirror one side of the car to the other, that made it so much easier.

Here's my first attempt on my starter car, my $0 nissan silvia.

Well... the NC Forged looks really good on the hood but maybe you should try to bring in some graphical elements and some colour aswell! Also you could reduce on the sponsor stickers a bit, maybe exchange the Fidanza and Kumho for NC Forged. DOnt make your cars look like movable advertisement signs! ;)

Thanks guys, I was a little limited cause when I made this livery initially I only had the manufacturer vinyls to work with. That's explains the overkill of company logos lol.

I'm working on some changes now though, made a minor change last night, added a stripes vinyl. (Added some nice rims as well, now that I've unlocked them)

No idea at all....would it be obvious to someone new to racing?

Well, Porche made a hybrid racecar and raced it on the 24 hrs of N'ring. It was all anyone was talking about. It was last year I think.

RACECAR
Yes, but I'm not remaking it. Thanks for the compliment!

Here is my custom Supra, what u guys think?

By the way I think dicovered a way to prevent this livery duplications. When you buy a car the firts thing u need to do is repaint it. Then it greates custom livery and the game don't duplicates to cars where already has custom livery. Doesn't work on GT1 and 3 cars though :ouch:

Nope, doesnt work for me. I repaint all my cars and I still get the wonky angles, the incorrect mirroring and even things like other cars adapting liveries unintentionally. My 911 RSR now has the same livery on it as my GT40 and if I change anything on it, it changes on the GT40 as well. It completely overwrote the livery I made for the 911. Already had that with my Datsun 240ZX and my 914/6 and my Shelby GT500, which is somehow connected to my Works Murcie... :crazy:

I had the buggy livery issues, but I found that after creating a new one, go race it immediately and it will save. Also, never use the "custom" option under the liveries -- go directly to "edit". The only way I know to resolve the issues of the interconnected liveries like FLX described was to sell the cars and start anew. Oh well...

Anyone have ideas on how create easy numbers?

That GTR is really cool! Might become even better if you use a style more similar to the side degrade stripes for the center stripe as well. And I really like to add one big sponsor in the rear - in that case Kinesis or Tenzo R. I m not such a big fan of the degrade on the rear, looks a bit too much like dirt.

The others are not my cup of tea, tbh. Especially the purple/3 different type of green ones. But thats just my gusto.

I don't know who is the author but it's the best picture đź‘Ťđź‘Ť love it

@bmwisme
Thanks haha, I appreciate it! Some of these took upwards of three hours.

@FLX1981
Maybe I will try out your suggestion :P Yeah, the purple/green ones I'm sure many people won't like lol, I just like how the two colors go together.

Check out this one guys,

I just spent 4 hours on this ZondaR, to find out that the last preset livery was almost exactly what I had made.... But mine looks much cooler, the colors pop alot more than the preset livery. I wanted to make sure people could tell a difference between mine and the preset livery, so I changed up the colors a bit. I think this is definately my best yet! This took 50+ stickers to make the R on the roof, and to make the tri-colored ovals alone.... so many layered circles and squaressdajhg. So glad this is done. Again, I'd appreciate any feedback. :sly:

Thanks,
Xenovora

To be honest, I dont think the red/chrome/green adds up nicely. Plus the detailwork in the front doesnt match. Sorry, B+ for effort..?

Lol really? I love the way it looks. But I guess to each his own. :P Thanks for the comment anyways. And I didn't notice that section in the front until you mentioned it, thanks, I will fix it some time lol. I was so tired, I guess I missed it. Oh well. I would keep it all black, but it looks too much like the preset one. What would you suggest for the color(s) then?

Anybody else want to let me know what you think about the my Zonda R livery?

Dude, I didnt mean to disrespect your hard work, it just looks a bit like a rat rod. Like somebody took a hood off one Zonda, the doors from another one etc. And the colourscheme itself is fine, I just personally think it looks kinda weird with the normal red, chrome white and flip flop green. The designer in me screams "Unity, goddamnit!!"

To say not only (hopefully constructive) criticism: The R on the roof is spectacular, how in the world did you do it?!

Yeah, 50+ stickers involves way too much patient for me to handle.. :(

I don't like chrome. Period. Its a cool job anyway and kudos for the "R"
