Racers, as a reminder;

1. We are not doing a full pace lap tonight. We will do our normal qualifying, report your best time to me when I ask for your times and then we'll start the race. When the race starts, we will line up in order and proceed at 60 mph. The pole position is to maintain 60 mph to the Mulsane Straight (long straight with chicanes), after everyone is on the straight in single file with 3 car lenghts between, he may acelerate to race speed. NO PASSING until after the first chicane! After that its race on!

2. Please be in my lounge prior to 9:30pm eastern so I can get a head count for the public lobby. If you can't make it on time please pm me either here or on the PSN and I'll save a spot for you

See you guys tonight

Good race everyone. Congratulations Mike on the win. It was fun working with you

Thanks guys, that was a fun week, thats really a great track. RR thanks man than was pretty tense at the end, great driving on those old tires! Im amazed I didnt wreck in the porche curves I was thinking thats what I usually do in that situation lol!

I'm in the 39's again online. Don't know how. Just am.

Funny thing adrenalin. I couldn't get faster than a 43 to save my life, then popped a 41 in qualifying. Couldn't run more than 5 laps on soft tires with out rim riding last night went 6/6 on softs. Crazy stuff adrenalin

Just a side note from now on in qualifying I'm always last out making sure our room is full of members and no strangers who can't read. Once qualifying has ended and I start taking times that's it. You got what you got. It takes me a while to get the order straight and then triple check it all while trying to over come my poor math skills and reading in the dark. Thanks guys

Congrats Mike. You and RR did a great job with tire management and a quick pace.

On the other hand, my attempt at tire conservation lead to a rather flat performance. Felt like I wasted a great track and bada$$ car with some half baked method of early braking and corner coasting. Too much tortoise and not enough hare.

RR, Do you have a computer near you gaming rig? Using MS Excel you can enter the name and time and then have Excel sort them. If you don't, let me know, I would be willing to handle this. It takes less than a second to get the running order.

Well to go along with my math skills my computer skills are just as good. But to answer your question I do but don't know how to use Excel. Ok you have officially been given a title. You are now known as "Time Keeper Envy". I'll have JT update the OP

As far as the running hard, tire conservation, 1 or 2 stop thing goes, I believe the only issue is 1 or 2 stops. I think the running hard or easy can be left out of the equation. RR and Mike ran a 1 stop, ran hard, had a few mph advantage over me from draft. I ran hard, 2 stops and not a single draft. I lost a second and a half by going in the sand at the end of lap 6 when RR and Mike hit the pits. I lost another second and a half just as I was turning a corner and going to catch their draft, I tapped a wall. I was behind the leader by 4 seconds at the end of the race. I would have easily picked up the last second with draft.

From that running 2 pits hard kept me in contention against 2 working together and a 1 stop. My own driving mistakes contributed to my failure not strategy.

Last nights race for me, was very much like the FF Stage 5 race we ran in STC some time ago. I took an extra pit and came in second. About 5 seconds behind.

So that's another wrench in the equation for you.

You were right there at the end and I was hoping for you to catch us it would have made for another epic finish. Your theory is exactly right though had it not been for working with Mike and the trust we had with each other I wouldn't have finished where I did. I would have had to stop twice and you had a huge lead on me when you pitted the first time. I wouldn't have caught you.

You can also have Envy exit the track after he qualifies and go into "watch race", he can just look at everyone's fastest lap, that will eliminate everyone having to report their fast lap.

Congrats Mike, you did a great job with those tires:tup: I had a feeling when you told me that you could do one stop on softs that you were going to win (plus you had the only 38sec time I'd seen in practice). I still don't know how you and RR managed to do the race on softs and 1 stop.

Did anyone else notice any cars glitching? I don't think the online stuff is anywhere close to being fixed.

When I was behind RR and Mike I saw Mike scooting around a little left and right. More than likely caused by his proximity to RR and the network not being able to handle that.

I didn't see any lagging/glitching and the framerate was steady.

Didn't have my mic on but I thought Bo said something about my car bouncing around as you were coming up behind on the long straight.

Qualifying; I'll enter track as soon as the room is full and begin qualifying. I'll run my hot lap and when qualifying time has expired I'll say qualifying closed. At that time Envy will ask each person their time and give us the running order. We will use this method Sunday in the Daytona race. Next weeks Red Bull race qualifying is not really important. But we'll continue to use this method until PD realizes that online is just as important as "off line" racing

I had a good race after the incident with Dangit at Mulsanne (Sorry Dangit ):indiff:

I did notice a few glitches, drops in frame rate but for the most part it was ok to race through:yuck:

However I still struggled to manage a few 3:49's even with the help of the draft and even being pushed down the Mulsanne straight!! Still do not know why everyone seems faster than me...:dunce:

I hope sony can fix their PSN network problems soon, this online gaming has gone down hill ever since I got my top of the line router and Ultra High speed internet connection!:nervous:

Sounds like i missed another great race.....I get my schedule tomorrow hope I can make the next race.

Here are the pics of that SuperGT 300 Prius I was talking about last night 👍

Believe it or not, it does actually use the hybrid part from the production car.

If we have to wait for GT6, that car will probably be 10yrs old. :ouch:

Wonder if it sounds like a leaf blower like the dlc Prius tc...lol.

10 years...ugh.

None of them are paintable.
