But it's cool to use hards one stint and softs the next right?

As for tire wear...Bo could stretch hards maybe the entire race. But for me, It'll be like 2 on hards....

Yes you can change combinations during the race as long as it isn't mixed sets (hards on the front/softs on the rear)

How's the tire wear. I haven't been there since we did the testing and that was before the update

It don't look good I tried this car/track combo tonight for the first time and I don't get nearly as good of tire wear here as I could at Spa. Too many tight turns and switch backs to get decent tire wear. I'm gonna have to do some testing with soft/medium combos and see whats going to work best for me. It might be doable with a 2 stop using mediums for 2 stints and softs for the last. A 3 stop with softs is really looking like the way I'm leaning at this point. I really don't think hards can win unless they can do 1 stop, they are just too slow.

You are right scorp, after running some more laps it seems like tire wear isn't an issue at all on this track. Ignore everything I posted above, I should have ran more laps before I made my "guess".

It will definitely be a 1 stop race, just need to see if it can be done on softs or will mediums be neeeded for one stint. This is not a good track for me, I don't think I've ever had to actually race on it and my track time is only what I was forced to do in license tests and Aspec races. I just want to get it over and move on.

DA and I ran a few laps here yesterday. All stock setup no aero/tranny adjustments on Race Hards. It's a sweet ride on RH's, neutral handling, nice and loose. Haven't tried the softer compounds yet. RS's seems like serious overkill w/ this little baby@207 hp, bet it kills the cars feel. Wish we could go RM's or less for this race.

The way the tire wear is now I'm running race mediums in all the endurance type races. They feel almost as good as the softs which I'll probably use for sprint races

I agree RS are overkill for this car, especially when you can run 30 laps on RM's. I may not run RS, I still haven't seen if a combo of RM/RS is quicker than 1 stop on RM's. But since it's a series race, I'm going to treat it like any other race and run whatever gets me to the end the quickest. I don't like a loose car, especially in a race that is destined to be a bumpfest anyway. If we didn't have to do a mandatory pit stop I'd probably run RH or setup my car to do the whole race on RM and not stop at all. I just want to stay away from other cars as much as possible.

I think what Bo is trying to say is that the cars will be very equal mechanically and in HP so pack racing will be prominent on this small tight track lending to tight battles and door handle shaving. Better to stay clear of that to conserve tires. Maybe?

I think I know what you mean. Everyone has there way of racing some like to mix it up and some like to concentrate on getting around the track with out incident, there is nothing wrong with that. If I'm racing strangers I prefer to be solo because there is no level of trust.

This is a small track and over the course of the race we will be in traffic at some point.

Don't forget guys this is a fun series with no points. It's just to relax and runs some laps together. No pressure. Thats why i chose these tracks and cars, I'm just gonna cruise around have some fun and see what happens. So don't get too worked up over times and strategies.

I'm sticking to mediums with the intent of beating the balls off the car. I must be a harsh driver though because I can't get but 20 laps out of mediums when trying to slow down and conserve tires.

Me, bo, Ncr, and scorpion have. Check the past few posts. Bo runs super ultra long lasting tires (no matter the compound lol) and I wont be on a set of tires as long as him.

I feel like my car understeer for some reason. I gotta tune mine tomorrow. Maybe some tonight...
