I used the Dale Earnhardt car, whatever that may be, and won each race first time though admittedly by a hair in most cases.

I changed the oil, lowered the brake bias to 1/1 and then basically tuned the gears pretty carefully for each circuit and told him to keep cool. At Trial Mountain I was in 4th place until about 5 laps from the end and took 1st place on the last lap at the S-bend right before the straight, that was pretty tense. By telling my driver to keep cool, he preserved his tyres quite well, then right at that S-bend the race leader floored the throttle too early, went very sideways, and my Bob had no trouble breezing past. I don't recall having to do much management in other races, but preservation of your tyres is pretty key.

OK, asking about the cars might be new. I do not believe it is very important.

However your BOBs level is important, a level above 30, in my experience 33 will really get you going in these Nascar races, before you have to be really lucky to end up front, if it ever happens.

Didn't even think of that.. Maybe I'll race the other sections first my bob is at level 27.

My Bob went to 11 place when I tried to keep him cool in the end he was 5th.

Finally got it last night although Bob was still showing much retardedness on the second race. Daytona I managed by a whisker with constantly yelling at him to go faster.

I've found that the power differences between the cars is certainly negligable although as someone said earlier, an oil change even on a shiny new car will raise the power slightly from stock which should give you a slight edge over the rest of the field. Once you have worked your way to the front, sometimes after five or six laps and especially on the ovoid circuits, you'll have to blitz the increase pace button to get you out of range of them drafting you. You could also try some of the various tunes that're on here although the rest I would put down to Bobs experience and how you babysit him. I don't really think it's a series where you can trust him to just get on with it.

So, I'm on lap 12 and have a couple seconds in the lead when Bob decides to pit. I click "cancel pit" but he still pits! I end up getting last place...

The problem I have us my bob always hits the wall in the daytona turn and he has to brake sometimes too and he'll still hit the outside wall no matter what command I give him in my Brian vickers 83 camry I'm stuck :(

I learned not to leave my Bob alone for much time at all. I left him a couple times during a few races only to find he had lost his 4 second lead and was fading fast... luckily there were still a few laps to go and was able to get him back up front. I like to get him up front as soon as possible, but sometimes it takes a few laps.... different for every race..... and I'm sure different for each driver as well.

On my first try at this with my level 22 driver. Currently finishing lap 9/10 in Laguna Seca with a very comfortable lead of about 14s, and so far I've won the other rounds in the 1st attempt.

It seems pretty simple setup-wise, no need to complicate, all you have to do is make sure the car is not twitchy and that the B driver has proper gearing. You'll always have to micromanage the AI but it shouldn't be as complicated as it seems.

It was hard Bob won just enough to scrape through with the championship win, was 50/50 going into the last race if he was going to win the championship.

havnt read all...

anyways my bob is lvl 30, very nearly 31 and so far only managed silver which a big gap between him and first, he finally manged the indy(kept droipping to 2nd on last lap lol), but after that he's fairly crap on most the other tracks :dopey:...

i dont bother with the orders anymore as they do fine without it, but i do give them the quicker car in the race and all being above lvl 20 they shouldnt need babysitting...

I used a cool bob which helped reduce tyre wear a lot. My hot bob would shred the tyres by needlesly drifting round corners I wanted to do bad things to him. I trained a cool bob and he won it first time with no drifting and tyre shredding. Still had to cool him down to start with going into tight corners once he's in the lead you'll need to push him faster on the straights and cool on tight corners. Now hot bob is so jealous and has taken up drinking and gambling.

My Bob smoked everyone in the first 5 races, but he kept slowing down and crashing against the side in daytona and got last.
Stupid Bob, I'll try the above settings again tomorrow.
Oh, he's level 28

Oh my god

My bob can't win **** in this event except on the first one...
He drifts like a maniac... can't see how to slow him down. I win the first by far and the rest of them i lose by far!!!! My bob is lvl 35... i honestly do not know what is the problem...
help... help... i'm really close to kick my PS3....

My Bob is level 23 and finally figured out Grand Valley. Most important is to keep him cool for most of the race. (Lsd) Accel and intial torque set at 40 each. This allows less chnace for spin outs and killing rear tires. Tranny set to about 211 and downforce all the way up and thats it. Was in first place at beginning of last lap and won by 6 seconds. GOOD LUCK!!!

finally won nascar b-spec. check the "tuning" forum, there are some good tunes, especially for daytona. one of the biggest keys for me was tuning the brakes to 0/0.

First race - min downforce front and rear. Speed set to 242.
Second race - max downforce. Speed set to 190.
Third race - 3/4 downforce. Speed set to 217.
Fourth race - 1/2 downforce. Speed set to 217.
Last race (patience required) - min downforce. Speed set to 249.

With the last one,my.driver was up and down in the pack and then made a run at the end, won by 0.9 seconds.

Obviously do an oil change before starting the race, and if he doesn't win still finish as they improve their skills and you get xp. I used the same stats for A-spec as well, but tweaked the camber uptown around -6.

Golded all of them, easier than I thought, bob was 27, thanks for the tip it was great help!!!

I'm able to beat the first course out of the 5 courses with no problems, but as soon as I start the 2nd course, the boneheaded B-spec driver of mind drives like a 2-year-old: horrible. Any of you guys manage to get a gold for this series?

The nascar events were the hardest ones in all of B-spec imo. If you're ok with second or third not so much, but I only settle for first...and nascar was the hardest.

I beat this in an unusual fashion.

Gold on 4 races, but abandoned the second one (grand valley)... so you still win the all golds bonus car, and win the championship outright from points. win/win, and never doing that again. of course, the AI can ram you and not lose speed but if you glance against someone you lose precious RPMs. BoB made it though, 4 golds and a blank on grand valley. Victory.

My current problem is the FGT series... they are long enough where I want to walk away. But that's BAD because they are long enough where tires stops are fine but FUEL stops are super important. I've walked away in first and come back and he finished 9th. So it's pit stop issues, I guess I'll have to stick around.

I attempted this today with a class 27 bob who has a perfect win rate.
1st Race: Win. Seemed to do it easily
2nd Race: Win. I pushed him hard for 3 laps which got him in the lead then walked away came back on lap 6 to find him 4th again but he had good tires and picked Dale Earnheardt off and won by 6 seconds.
3rd Race: No trouble for bob.
4th Race: Was quite happy in 3rd until lap 8 until i told him to overtake he won.
5th Race: 10th Going into lap 19 on the back straight he gets the slipstream and pulls off a heroic breaking remover like i did on this race in A-spec moves to 5th then press overtake again next time round and takes the lead and wins by 0.044.

Out of all my bobs this is the one that has NEVER let me down the others should be arrested.

Does this affect your trophies somehow? Like I think there are trophies for golding all of B-spec but I also abandoned a couple races in championship series. I exited the race because something was tuned wrong or something like that but it just goes on to the next race. I still got gold for the series but I wonder if missing that race is going to hinder my b-spec somehow. I guess I will find out once I finish the last 24h race....but I'm just not that excited to do it.

i was able to get gold on the first four races but the fifth race at daytona makes my Bob moronic and eventually finishes 12th wtf?! i still walk away with the championship but its supposed to be all gold :(

I won all of the races by a large margin, except Daytona, where I finished 9th. I haven't figured out a way to win that race yet either.

Try pacing him up going into turn 3, and at pit road entrance.

haven't tried the complete championship, but my bob is now running in the oval and he's doing quite fine. I added some downforce, max speed of 380kmh, and given that my Mr Bullock (level 19) tends to brake when it is not necessary I decided to set the brakes 1 front - 1 rear.

Had to remind constantly that he was in race, otherwise he would let everyone overtake him.

Edit:I just won the Nascar Series!! My Bob got first in all the races except for the second one. Here are some settings I used: max down-force, brake bias 1f 1r, car heigt -15f -15, hardened springs a bit, max speed from 330 kmh to 370 (depending on the lenght of the straight). Hope it works for you. :)

Btw, there's no way for me to beat this second one, Bob seems to be happy just being 6th, and if I tell him to speed up or overtake he will drift at every corner and wear the tyres off by the 5th lap. Need some help to beat that!

Brakes set to 1 front and 1 rear. Priceless! I laughed out loud reading this one...
