This is super cool. The Design, The History, That speeed… the fuel…

I threw in the turbo and Racing Med & Trans, did a lap around 700 Le Manz sub 4:00 at FM1 driving to redline, hitting (212MPH) on the straights and still says I have 4 laps of fuel left. I have no idea if it burns tires but I’ll be enjoying myself either way

Im sure its not for everybody but does anyone else love this?

This is just the stock gearing from the Race Trans; not sure if can eek out any more top end or not but it was pretty useful & impressive as is.

Suspension and LSD are how it came came configured. I tried 1 with a little ballast and another just lowering the power resistor the slightest hair. Can see both in this pic

EDIT: Forgot to mention there are both High & Med Turbos Available

The low…low speed turning is good but she will slide like crazy if you don’t slow way down first. My initial impression was that the brakes were more impressive than I expected, even slowing down from way over 200MPH.

@Pizzicato1985 I agree it definitely needs some work. Unfortunately (anyone who doesn’t own/know this yet), there is 0 Downforce available for both the front and back. However, I assume that’s how we get away with the remaining high functionality at 700pp with Race Mediums.

@Phantom_Mark Personally I’m on the remote, wasn’t sure who you were asking though. My PSVR2 is supposed to arrive tomorrow so I think adding a wheel would make it even more immersive for me and it’s something i’ve been looking in to

Back in Grand Prix Legends (PC Sim) these cars did a bit over 200mph on the fastest tracks, with their original 450 ish BHP :)

This car is a cheatcode for LM 700, even if it's a bit tricky to drive
I just had some fun with it on the new track in the WTC 600pp. On this track… the real cheat is the Alpine A220 w/Glitch settings. I just gave it a try because I didn’t have much luck with it in other places, it easily laps in the low 1:50’s.

There seems to be a large number of ways to tailor the car for 600, not just through tires & restrictor/ECU.

*Swapping from the Med RPM turbo to High saves ~10pp and another 10pp going to normal Trans. I think it goes even another couple points lower if you choose Manual Trans. I suppose you could drop the turbo all together and maybe run Race Tires?? not sure

I tightened the springs to 2.80 f/r and brake balance to -2. Is working for me. Added the Med Turbo and fully manual transmission stock setting and RM. PP 691 all up. A bit early shifting at FM1, nets me 9Laps of uel. Passing cars easily.

I'm quite certain we'll have a Time Trial soon for this car... And I sure hope we do.
Think it might be a Japanese track, maybe Suzuka.
But there is a possibility could be Interlagos.
Being that is the southern American track (I can think of) in the game.
And it won the Mexican F1 GP in '65.

Hey there, I wonder what tyres would suit this car the most, have tried comfort softs and they seemed pretty good, though tbh hards are probably more accurate.

Yeah, just a little bit of downforce, like 20/20 or 50/50 (kind of like the Shelby Daytona) would make a huge difference.

I think I've got it fairly sorted out:

Set ballast to 100 (close to a true 50:50) I find these old cars with no downforce like a balanced tune to avoid the "pendulum" braking, etc.

Suspension:
98 100
7 7
28 28
42 42
2.30 2.30
2.0 2.0
\/0.20 /\0.20

LSD: 25/45/22

Transmission Gearing: Set Top speed to 340 (standard, I believe) I set the gearing in intervals of .005 to make it easier to read.

1) 3.785
2) 2.765
3) 2.160
4) 1.755
5) 1.480
6) 1.300

Final Gear set to 3.075 for Sarthe. It's a little stiff, but is much more stable. Takes a couple laps to get used to, and definitely trail-brake into curved brake-zones (like the end of the Mulsanne at Sarthe, etc) as it'll re-stabilize it if it starts to get loose. Use the recommended gear when cornering (might be a problem with my gear ratios; I haven't fine-tuned yet)

I was able to put up a 4:02 on a PS4 controller (haven't tried it on G29/PS5 yet) in TT, which is pretty good for an old F1 with no downforce on a controller (for me at least, lol)

Hope this helps someone.

Edit: Forgot to mention this is with Race Hards and High RPM Turbo. Brake bias is neutral to save tires, but I tried it at both +1 and -1 and still seemed fine. Kind of prefer it towards the back. Should be about 667PP, so plenty of room to add Mediums or Softs if one so chooses. And yeah, I don't like expoiting the ride-height for stability, but when we aren't given any downforce it just makes sense given it's so much more stable.

Would love a '67 Eagle or Ferrari in the game with a historic Monza, Brands Hatch, and Spa. But this is a good start!
Funny enough the Eagle and Ferrari were my goto cars in GPL :D I can still remember trying to take one of the kinks flat out at about 204mph at the old Spa-Francochamps , sometimes I even managed to make it as well :D
