...and about 30+ others, I will post those some other time.

Oh! I noticed the Nissan 300ZX had its PI adjusted (828->832) some time ago.

On a kind of similar note, :boggled:

@SlipZtrEm I'm wondering what the differentiation between stock and modified is? For my McLaren MP4/4 time I didn't add any upgrades (IIRC the only upgrades give no benefit) but it was set using my own tuning set up (so tyre pressures, gear ratios etc. were changed). There's nothing in the OP saying which side of the line this would fall, however I wrongly assumed no upgrades = unmodified, this struck me earlier today when I ran some laps in the "un-upgraded" IMSA 300ZX and was 1.5 seconds quicker after changing just the tuning settings.

If it is in the wrong section, please move it to modified and I apologize to the other drivers.

I always considered "stock" to be 100% original settings/parts.

I always considered "stock" to be 100% original settings/parts.

I think some of my confusion here may come from the few series I've competed in where the race cars must remain "stock" as in no upgrades but you are allowed to change gear ratios, downforce etc. to suit the track.

I guess it makes more sense your way now I think about it in terms of real cars rather than Forza terms.

Edit: Some new times, all definitely modified :dopey:

This is something that has also popped into my head at some point. Just a simple change to the differential can really tame some of the uncontrollable cars, so I took it that if I changed the tune that I'd probably consider it modified. People who know how to tune can have a great advantage over those that don't, so in fairness maybe we should keep default set-ups on stock cars, so that way we are all running the same thing?

Side note; my left joystick is acting up, so I haven't been on Forza in some time. I had an issue with steering before, that I thought was isolated to FM6, but just these past couple of weeks the issue is ever more prominent on other games. Even while playing Fallout it will sometimes not register my left or right pulls correctly, even if I am fully pushing the stick in either direction. It will react as if I'm just ever so slightly on the stick, trying to initiate a stealth walk. So glad that it's been dialed down to faulty hardware though, as the issue was keeping me away from enjoying Forza since I've purchased my Xbox. Hopefully I can get back into this soon.

@Im_Lukas - I've always meant for "Stock" to mean absolutely no fiddling, straight-out-the-box, warts-and-all. Mostly to keep the playing field even for everybody to compare against themselves, while Modified is for those who want to hunt for every last tuning advantage. That's on me for not making it clearer in the OP.

01:03.267 - 2013 Hyundai Veloster Turbo - 201 HP - 2767 LBS - FF - 342 - SlipZtrEm - Controller
Starting this group off by just missing the E Class leader, the NA Miata. How high will the PI's get before D class can consistently beat it around here?! The Veloster's nice enough, but it's not a track car. It just feels... squishy.

01:03.334 - 1970 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 - 360 HP - 3550 - FR - 344 - SlipZtrEm - Controller
Pointy and powerful. The Camaro is fun, and is one of the few cars that benefits from short-shifting heading into the final turn. Have I mentioned how impressive it is that cars in this class can easily be topping 120mph before getting on the brakes for T1? Does roughly what I'd expect, leading the 60's muscle.

01:02.212 - 1992 Nissan Silvia CLUB K's - 202 HP - 2535 LBS - FR - 344 - SlipZtrEm - Controller
Considering its relative, the 240SX, placed second in E Class, I fully expected the S13 to perform admirably. And it did, with a tidy chassis and keen turn-in. The engine is such an appliance though, with no real urge to the revs.

01:02.572 - 1988 Lamborghini Jalpa - 255 HP - 3329 LBS - MR - 348 - SlipZtrEm - Controller
First thing's first: this has, easily, the most powerful brakes of any car I've driven in D or E. I'm not sure why that is, but it's seriously impressive. When approaching T1, I need to hit the brakes about where I would in the Lotus Eleven, despite this weighing three times what that does (and approaching the turn far quicker). It can't hang with the Silvia in corner speed though. That V8 in back also will make itself known if you back off the throttle mid-turn, or trail-brake.

01:03.700 - 1967 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 396 - 375 HP - 3585 LBS - FR - 350 - SlipZtrEm - Controller
The Chevelle feels broadly similar to a lot of the other muscle – which shouldn't be a surprise – but feels even faster in a straight. It's probably imagined. It's interesting to me how close it gets to the Camaro, considering it's not the same sort of car.

01:03.244 - 1971 AMC Javelin AMX - 330 HP - 3445 LBS - FR - 351 - SlipZtrEm - Controller
Felt significantly faster than the Camaro, ends up tying with the NA Miata. It also feels like a substantially smaller car than the other muscle cars. Insanely short-geared, this is very close to bouncing off the rev limiter before braking into T1. So, good thing we're at Lime Rock!

01:01.617 - 1953 Ferrari 500 Mondial - 168 HP - 1852 LBS - FR - 352 - SlipZtrEm - Controller
New record! The Mondial just flies through this track.

01:06.907 - 2013 Ford F-150 SVT Raptor Shelby - 575 HP - 6200 LBS - 4WD - 353 - SlipZtrEm - Controller
Want to slow down for the next turn? You might as well send a letter to the brakes asking them to get down to an appropriate speed, because the wait, like the weight, is monumental. Yes, this is actually slower than the non-Shelby new model. Ugh.

01:03.348 - 2013 Renault Clio RS 200 - 197 HP - 2685 LBS - FF - 353 - SlipZtrEm - Controller
The Clio feels faster than its lap time would suggest. The engine is agricultural, and while it's slightly lighter than the Fiesta I drove after, it doesn't feel it. They do feel broadly similar though, as their specs would suggest. The Clio requires a bit more patience before it's locked on to the desired apex.

01:02.624 - 2014 Ford Fiesta ST - 197 HP - 2720 LBS - FF - 354 - SlipZtrEm - Controller
Whoa, did not expect such a gap between the two. As I said above, it feels largely the same as the Clio, only lighter (even though it isn't). Let's you be a bit more rough with your inputs without plowing endlessly, but it's still faster to be smooth.

01:03.432 - 1971 Ford Mustang Mach 1 - 376 HP - 3711 LBS - FR - 354 - SlipZtrEm - Controller
What really needs to be said about the Mach 1 that I haven't said about other muscle? It splits the difference between the DSM twins on the board. *shrug*

01:03.164 - 1992 Alfa Romeo 155 Q4 - 187 HP - 3064 LBS - 4WD - 355 - SlipZtrEm - Controller
Feel just like an Italian Legacy/Galant. Wonderful, planted feel that helps it get around turns fast, though the uphill requires a lower entry speed than I expected. But at least it beat that damned NA!

01:02.158 - 1997 Honda Civic Type R - 182 HP - 2403 LBS - FF - 355 - SlipZtrEm - Controller
You know why I think the CTR can manage such a quick lap around here? The lack of torque. Now that games like FM can more accurately simulate torque-steer, we're more appropriately punished for a heavy throttle... finger. The CTR has so little torque that you don't have to worry about this so much, and it can put power down cleanly as soon as you need.

01:03.858 - 2009 Vauxhall Corsa VXR - 189 HP - 2652 LBS - FF - 357 - SlipZtrEm - Controller
As if to drive the Civic's point home, the Corsa struggles to put the power down. Not only is it a torquey, turbo engine, but the normal VXR has an open diff, not the LSD that the Nurburgring special (or the new-gen Corsa VXR) has. The tires howl in protest, even in forth gear, if they're asked to apply power and turn simultaneously. I have no doubts this car would be a second faster with the LSD.

01:01.530 - 2011 Acura Integra Type-R - 195 HP - 2639 LBS - FF - 357 - SlipZtrEm - Controller
Y'know, you'd be excused for accusing me of bias with this one. It's one of my all-time favourite cars, regardless of cost, power, image, anything. I learned about it when I was 12, and it's stuck with me all these years. But this lap, which at this point is the fastest D Stock time, was on my first flying lap. Sure, I run a lightly-modded one online a lot, but I hadn't really driven it stock in FM6 yet. It's fantastic. There's no need to do a drivetrain swap to power-wasting RWD, since this not only puts power down just as cleanly as the Civic, but it rotates like few other front-drivers do. You can Scandi-flick it! Go drive it, you'll be impressed.

01:01.761 - 2007 Honda Civic Type-R - 198 HP - 2965 LBS - FF - 358 - SlipZtrEm - Controller
Whoa. This, folks, is what we call progress. Going by the numbers, this shouldn't be able to compete with the old CTR. Ten years saw 16 horsepower added, along with 560 LBS. Yet despite being a 17" rim shy of the 3000 pound mark, this machine feels as light as the ITR, and certainly as pointy. It's a rev-happy, fun-to-drive future-box-from-the-past. Third in class is quite an achievement.

01:02.295 - 2010 Abarth 500 esseesse - 158 HP - 2050 LBS - FF - 359 - SlipZtrEm - Controller
Drives a lot similarly to the Hondas, despite being a very different car. The engine is the big difference, feeling like a diesel after those banshees. A little scrappy, which is what puts it a little behind the old CTR.

01:01.038 - 2016 Mazda MX-5 - 155 HP - 2310 LBS - FR - 360 - SlipZtrEm - Controller
Okay, I'll be honest: I didn't think the ND would swoop in to repeat what the NA did. The NA's win in E Stock isn't too surprising, all things considered, since it wasn't too far off of the class limit. The ND is sitting at 360. There's forty more cars to come.

01:03.317 - 1971 Plymouth GTX 426 HEMI - 425 HP - 3670 LBS - FR - 361 - SlipZtrEm - Controller
Ah, a Hemi. Air Grabber hood. Wood all over the interior. This thing is fun, but alas, if you've driven any of the other ~3600 pound 1969-1972 muscle cars, you know how this one handles. Gets so, so close to beating all of E class, but just can't quite swing it, at least with me behind the wheel.

01:02.614 - 2013 Abarth Punto SuperSport - 177 HP - 2612 LBS - FF - 363 - SlipZtrEm - Controller
I've always felt a little bad for the Punto in FM6. It's probably from spending the better portion of my life reading car magazines, but I remember a lot of cars being in games like this, or GT. Of course, with GT, you end up forgetting about some cars, since there are countless trim versions of the same model. But when it comes to FM6's car list, well, if I hear a name of a car, I could tell you if it's in the game. Except the Punto. In a star-studded lineup, it's the movie extra. But it doesn't need to be. As a grown-up alternative to the 500, it isn't quite as fast around Lime Rock, but it is faster than the Fiesta ST. Or the new Clio.

01:02.863 - 1957 Ferrari 250 California - 262 HP - 2315 LBS - FR - 363 - SlipZtrEm - Controller
Not a bad time for the old girl. Such a pretty car – in blue, not the usual red – you have to drive it more akin to the muscle cars thanks to the ancient, skinny tires. Slow in, let it settle on the springs, then start feeding it the throttle.

01:03.052 - 1970 Mercury Cougar Eliminator - 335 HP - 3435 LBS - FR - 363 - SlipZtrEm - Controller
Ah, one of my favourite muscle cars. It still doesn't feel massively different from others of its kind, instead feeling like an amalgamation of of the Mustangs available immediately on both sides of it in age. It's commendably light, and does something even the AMX couldn't do: hit its limiter on the straight. Which is, frankly, hilarious on such a short track.

By my count, I still have 40 or so D Stock cars to try.

Like an amalgamation of all of the recent Hondas, this is a fast, easy lapper. Sounds like a touring car. Boring looks hide some talent, even if this generation took a step back in the suspension department.

01:02.329 - 1990 Chevrolet Camaro IROC-Z - 245 HP - 3627 LBS - FR - 365 - SlipZtrEm - Controller
Knew it'd be fast. Didn't think it'd be faster than the CTR. Such a joy, a very balanced, neutral joy.

01:03.199 - 1971 Plymouth Cuda 426 HEMI - 425 HP - 3880 LBS - FR - 366 - SlipZtrEm - Controller
The Cuda just squeaks in above the E Stock leader. Like most of the muscle, it just doesn't suit this track all too well.

01:02.805 - 2010 Renault Clio RS - 198 HP - 2654 LBS - FF - 366 - SlipZtrEm - Controller
I was surprised at how insanely rough you need to treat the Clio. This is some hateful stuff! Your best bet is to slam the brakes on for a super late apex, so that you can cost through on a steady throttle, resisting the urge to get on the power and watch it scrabble away.

01:01.371 - 2005 Mazda Mazdaspeed MX-5 - 178 HP - 2529 LBS - FR - 367 - SlipZtrEm - Controller
Big surprise, the Miata is quick. Didn't see that coming! But seriously, it wasn't a complete cakewalk. The gearing is comedy short, and the rear is livelier than you'd really want it to be. The NB makes you work.

01:03.132 - 1992 Mitsubishi Galant VR-4 - 237 HP - 2976 LBS - 4WD - 367 - SlipZtrEm - Controller
The MMC badge on the boot might as well stand for Mitsubishi Massively Competent. Completely devoid of surprises, the hardest thing about lapping this is staying focused.

01:03.129 - 1969 Dodge Charger R/T - 425 HP - 3671 LBS - FR - 368 - SlipZtrEm - Controller
You know the drill. Surprisingly quick through the uphill!

01:01.393 - 2013 Subaru BRZ - 197 HP - 2764 LBS - FR - 368 - SlipZtrEm - Controller
Despite feeling faster than the NB - probably because it's not as sloppy - the Scoob doesn't quite topple it. But it's undoubtedly the more consistent car, if, for some bizarre reason, you're racing completely stock cars for long runs.

01:02.975 - 1992 Lancia Delta HF Integrale EVO - 210 HP - 2866 LBS - 4WD - 368 - SlipZtrEm - Controller
The poor classic just can't hang with the modern metal. Feels good, has a fantastically retro interior, and still looks, well, like a Delta. Slow final turn hurts it's time.

01:04.065 - 1991 GMC Syclone - 280 HP - 3613 LBS - 4WD - 369 - SlipZtrEm - Controller
I get the feeling this would be so much faster if it were RWD. As is, it understeers way too much, and the long gearing does it no favors. A disappointment, and the only one of the group to not clear E Stock.

You're always on the verge of traction with this car. It just needs wider tires and some tweaking with the downforce, but that's it. This car is fantastic to drive.

This is something that has also popped into my head at some point. Just a simple change to the differential can really tame some of the uncontrollable cars, so I took it that if I changed the tune that I'd probably consider it modified. I had an issue with steering before, that I thought was isolated to FM6, but just these past couple of weeks the issue is ever more prominent on other games. Try blowing on it. Push the stick to one side and blow in the crease between the stick and the controller. My controller is the same way but when i blow on it it works for a playthrough

I knew by the exit of the second turn that this was going to be a fast one. It's very well balanced, with a tidy amount of understeer making it stable, but it carries massive speed through the turns. The engine is torquey, which helps – sounds great too – making short work of the Uphill. Supremely enjoyable, it gets within a hair of the top of the class.

01:03.174 - 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T - 425 HP - 3800 LBS - FR - 369 - SlipZtrEm - Controller
Exactly what you would expect, really.

01:00.915 - 2013 Toyota GT86 - 197 HP - 2734 LBS - FR - 369 - SlipZtrEm - Controller
They've definitely modelled the difference in the suspension between the BRZ and the GT86. This is more playful/wayward (depending on your stance), but the greater rotation helps it set a new class record. It requires more effort to stay consistent than the BRZ does, but that difference would evaporate as soon as you start tuning.

01:02.536 - 2014 Nissan Juke Nismo RS - 215 HP - 2884 LBS - FF - 370 - SlipZtrEm - Controller
I'm happy that T10 included the FF version with the stick, compared to the 4WD/CVT combo. Despite the torque, it doesn't pull very badly at all, almost feeling like a front-biased 4WD system, really. But, it's just not fast enough, stock, to worry the leaders.

01:02.346 - 1988 BMW M5 - 282 HP - 3230 LBS - FR - 370 - SlipZtrEm - Controller
Respectably close to the M6. This sounds fantastic. Feels a little under-tired, but that makes for a lot more entertainment than today's opposite approach.

01:01.086 - 1991 BMW M3 - 215 HP - 2762 LBS - FR - 374 - SlipZtrEm
I swear, I didn't give this extra effort, simply because it's one of my favourites. It really is this quick. The gearing is just right for the track, it has the right amount of rubber, it isn't too powerful; no wonder people enjoy the M3.

01:02.413 - 1970 Chevrolet Corvette ZR-1 - 370 HP - 3373 LBS - FR - 374 - SlipZtrEm - Controller
A strange one. While it feels appreciably lighter than the other American cars of the era, the entire drivetrain seems to have a sense of hesitation. Like the pistons are traveling through pea soup, and the driveshaft is spinning in jam. A great example of FM6's tire physics though, these ones have a lovely progressiveness to them that makes it easy to know exactly what's going on down at tarmac level.

01:01.856 - 1993 Ford SVT Cobra R - 235 HP - 3125 LBS - FR - 375 - SlipZtrEm - Controller
What a great car. Second gear is a little short for ideal use here (Uphill is slightly too fast, but you're not in the best part of the range in 3rd), but otherwise, it's a fun, quick lapper. All I kept thinking was that other games are missing out by skipping the Fox body. Unfortunately, it felt faster than it was, so the time is only reasonably impressive.

01:02.023 - 1994 Toyota Celica GT-Four ST205 - 255HP - 3175 LBS - 4WD - 375 - SlipZtrEm - Controller
The Celica has always been a class below the turbo-nutters from Subaru and Mitsubishi, and this drove the point home. It just felt flat. Quick enough I suppose, and certainly could be made to improve, it's just so... beige.

01:03.535 - 1970 Buick GSX - 360 HP - 3874 LBS - FR - 376 - SlipZtrEm - Controller
How does this have a higher PI rating than the Vette?! I was hoping that maybe it had some extra grip that gave it an edge over all the other muscle. I was wrong. Avoid this one. Looks cool, but considering the PI penalty, there's so many, much better options.

Twenty more to go!

I've been driving this car all over the place recently setting my friend some benchmark times to try and catch, one thing he hasn't quite mastered yet is controlling the weight transfer and using it to cut that lap time down, it's amazing how much better this car turns when the weight is in the right place. The weight is probably this cars biggest downfall when it comes to performance but it makes it very fun to try and drive fast.

Modified:

00:54.647 - 1997 Mitsubishi GTO - 422 HP - 2839 LBS - 4WD - 700 - lukas2121 - Controller

... And that brings me to Mitsubishi level 25. @SlipZtrEm That Integra took some beating, great lap there, I think you went too wide on the uphill turn so I was basing my whole lap on gaining time there. As for this car being modified I found it easy to drive, probably a car I would consider my 'safe' car online, it's not incredibly fast but also won't step out of line or punish you for being a bit too jerky with the controls.

00:42.601 - 2013 Caparo T1 - 575 HP - 1411 LBS - MR - 973 - lukas2121 - Controller

P class modified; the only board with no times so far, I'm here to fill this gap :D. Not so easy to drive, gets very twitchy when elevation change is involved but managed to hold it together for a lap. On the last corner if I don't hit the inside curb the car just starts sliding. I've took this online a few times just to mess with people and it's usually good for a mid-pack finish but you really have to push it and avoid all the wrecks.

00:39.942 - 1991 Mazda #18 Mazdaspeed 787B - 794 HP - 1830 LBS - MR - 995 - lukas2121 - Controller

This car is a rocket ship, crazy acceleration, grips like nothing else and just a quick tap of the brakes is all you need. I left my Nordschleife setup on for the time being, I'll have to return at some point and make a set up just for Lime Rock. It's amazing how you can seemingly do the exact same thing in these cars and yet it turns out you're 3 or 4 tenths down, there's still another couple of tenths in this with this setup but I need to get back in the zone.

Not very different from above. It felt lighter, bizarrely. I find the best method for the first turn in muscle cars is to use the torque to rotate them a bit early before the second apex. You'll see a lower MPH mid-turn, with quick exit speeds instead.

01:00.795 - 2013 Mazda MX-5 Cup - 167 HP - 2420 LBS - FR - 382 - SlipZtrEm - Controller
The Miata takes the lead again! In equally surprising news, sky is still blue. Feels more like the ND, tight and light.

01:02.139 - 2003 Ford Focus RS - 212 HP - 2822 LBS - FF - 387 - SlipZtrEm - Controller
Grippy and surprisingly neutral in balance, the Focus just can't muster the corner speeds to really trouble the top of the pack. Also, I forgot how awful the first generation interior was!

01:02.672 - 1970 Dodge Coronet Super Bee - 425 HP - 3420 LBS - FR - 388 - SlipZtrEm - Controller
Didn't feel very different from the rest of the class, but is apparently significantly faster. Huh. I suppose the light weight helps the most. Keep it in third whenever possible to really take advantage of the torque.

01:01.797 - 2011 Alfa Romeo Giulietta Quadrifoglio Verde - 231 HP - 2910 LBS - FF - 391 - SlipZtrEm - Controller
I didn't expect the Giulietta to be very competitive. No real reason why: it's fairly light, has a powerful, torquey engine, and decent amounts of rubber. Maybe because it's a modern Alfa? Either way, I'm surprised. It's almost like a modern - whisper it - Delta. Okay, it's front-drive, but it's incredibly well-balanced, almost playful. It has a small, turbocharged engine. Try it!

01:02.998 - 1974 Lancia Stratos HF Stradale - 190 HP - 2161 LBS - MR - 391 - SlipZtrEm - Controller
If you see someone faster than you in this, quietly praise their innate car control, and give it a few more turns before they inevitably stuff it into a wall backwards. This is a freakishly darty car. Liftoff oversteer? Check. Power oversteer? Check. I'm pretty sure I saw it oversteer into another car. While parked. This lap took more concentration than any I've done in a while, and it's still slow.

01:02.857 - 1968 Dodge Dart HEMI Super Stock - 425 HP - 3020 LBS - FR - 392 - SlipZtrEm - Controller
Nuts. Hits it's limiter on the straight, and is simply too fast for such a small circuit. Quite a handful because of it, so it's not even the fastest muscle car here.

01:00.783 - 2011 Mazda RX-8 R3 - 232 HP - 3065 LBS - FR - 393 - SlipZtrEm - Controller
Mazdas just have a stranglehold on stock boards, huh? This is such a peach to drive though. The torque-light rotary means you're not spending much time sideways, wasting power that could be otherwise propelling you forward. That engine sounds fantastic too. The long wheelbase helps keep things stable. Fantastic.

01:01.699 - 1995 Toyota MR2 GT - 241 HP - 2657 LBS - MR - 394 - SlipZtrEm - Controller
This felt massively fast. Planted, with a surprising amount of understeers given the midship engine, it achieves high exit speeds. Except, it seems, on the first two turns. That seems to be where it lost the most ground, and maybe a few mph on the final turn. A little disappointed, is all.

Final ten are left... :)

Modified:

00:52.870 - 2013 Abarth Punto SuperSport - 608 HP - 2721 LBS - 4WD - 800 - lukas2121 - Controller

Considering what's been done to this car it's surprisingly capable, handles well for a car on 235 mm wide tyres as well.

00:56.275 - 2014 Land Rover Range Rover Supercharged - 718 HP - 4458 LBS - 4WD - 700 - lukas2121 - Controller

Big difference compared to FH2 where the Range Rover could hold its own even on the tighter road courses. Doesn't feel like it handles too bad until you see another car taking turns so much faster.

00:51.033 - 1975 BMW #93 3.0 CSL - 543 HP - 2325 LBS - FR - 800 - lukas2121 - Controller

I'll end this year with my favourite car, the 3.0 CSL with a power tune. When I'm racing with some of my faster friends this and the M1 Procar are the only 2 cars I can keep up in, this tune isn't really suited for Lime Rock so usually I leave this track to the M1 or my other CSL but they're no where near as fun to drive.

Maybe next year I'll take my other CSL and M1 to face off here, as I never worked out which was quicker.

Woo, D Stock is done, complete with a surprise D overall leader:

01:00.987 - 1987 Ford Sierra Cosworth RS500 - 224 HP - 2734 LBS - FR - 396 - SlipZtrEm - Controller
The Sierra is a joy. Sweet, rear-led balance makes it maneuverable, without being wayward. The turbo engine isn't the massive lag-fest you'd expect. I've also really grown to like how they look over the years, far more than the similar Escort. Getting into the 1:00's is impressive.

01:02.356 - 1967 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray 427 - 435 HP - 3384 LBS - FR - 396 - SlipZtrEm - Controller
Just insanely fast on the straights: this is starting it's lap at 125mph! Feels heavier than the weight suggests, and needs you to really slow things down before heading into a turn. That said, I have no doubt that on a turn more balanced towards outright speed, the Vette would be hard to beat.

01:01.057 - 2015 Nissan IDx NISMO - 215 HP - 2866 LBS - FR - 397 - SlipZtrEm - Controller
About where I expected it to fall, really. The concept seems to be a fairly popular out-of-the-box choice online, and is fairly easy to drive. It feels a lot like the NC Miata, actually, just with more power and weight.

01:01.217 - 1992 Ford Escort RS Cosworth - 224 HP - 2811 LBS - 4WD - 398 - SlipZtrEm - Controller
Meh. It's not bad, but it's just so relentlessly competent. Warm porridge. The weight and understeer that the all-paw system brings to the table over the Sierra makes this the slower car, though undoubtedly the safer choice for consistency.

01:00.882 - 2000 Nissan Silvia Spec-R - 250 HP - 2734 LBS - FR - 400 - SlipZtrEm - Controller
Another I expected to finish fairly highly. It's cousin did so in the lower class, and this has always struck me as the most track-oriented of the S chassis cars. It feels it at Lime Rock: pointy, planted, and with a well-spaced gearbox. Unfortunately, it won't win any races online in this class, since there's no wiggle room for tuning.

01:01.326 - 1994 Nissan Fairlady Z Version S Twin Turbo - 276 HP - 3351 LBS - FR - 400 - SlipZtrEm - Controller
I love the sound this car makes. And how it looks. I knew it wouldn't be terribly competitive at LR, as it's too heavy, but it's good to see it in the lower 61's. Definitely worth bumping up to C or B classes.

00:59.292 - 2016 Mazda Team Forza MX-5 - 165 HP - 2310 LBS - FR - 400 - SlipZtrEm - Controller
Yes. Really. Fresh out of the box, this thing not only destroys the previous class record holder in D Stock, it even eclipses the top time in D Mod. Not only that, it also beats every single current C Stock time (the fastest being @Im_Lukas in the Evo). It put me in 54th in the Americas in class, and is the highest time the Team Forza MX-5 has on that board. With the right driver, it's a 58 car, absolutely. It feels tailored to this track, with the perfect levels of grip, excellent turn-in, a resistance to roll oversteer in the Uphill or the final turn, and gear ratios that put you right in the meat of the powerband when you need it most. Just amazing.

01:01.665 - 2003 Renault Sport Clio V6 - 251 HP - 3086 LBS - MR - 400 - SlipZtrEm - Controller
The Clio has such a bad reputation out in the real world, but you'd never know it here. It understeers like a regular front-drive hatch if you try to push it so hard. While that makes sense on-throttle, it's very hard to upset the balance to get the rotation you need for a properly quick time. Shame, as its one of my favourite cars of all time.

01:01.657 - 1962 Ferrari 250 GT Berlinetta Lusso - 254 HP - 2249 LBS - FR - 400 - SlipZtrEm - Controller
The prettiest Ferrari just gets the slightest tip of its substantial nose past the Clio. A lot of fun, with that soft-edge performance envelope cars from this era all seem to have. Sounds, of course, sublime. Requires a mental recalibration to really extract the best from it.

01:02.838 - 2014 Local Motors Rally Fighter - 430 HP - 3800 LBS - FR - 400 - SlipZtrEm - Controller
The Rally Fighter is surprisingly fun around a track. Sure, it's not terribly fast, and it will overheat the inside tires if you're too aggressive, but it behaves how you would expect it to. The soft suspension tells you exactly where the limits of adhesion lie. That Chevy V8 sounds good, too.

Strange how many of the laps times end on a 7. Oh, and this gets us to 300 total times. To celebrate the new year, I launched something into the air:

Alright, onto C-Stock. I hope I'm not scaring people away by doing these large batches of stock cars...

01:01.871 - 2009 MINI John Cooper Works - 208 HP - 2701 LBS - FF - 404 - SlipZtrEm - Controller
The JCW is agreeable enough. It's a little scrappy up front with the power applied, but nothing the most novice of drivers couldn't handle. Actually, it'd be a very good tool to teach someone the slow-in/fast-out approach, since it definitely requires it. Lands about where I expected, though I don't think the Giulietta would bother it much in the real world!

01:01.606 - 2003 Volkswagen Golf R32 - 241 HP - 3256 LBS - 4WD - 404 - SlipZtrEm - Controller
The R32 feels from a different time, despite only being a dozen years old. For one, that big V6 sounds fantastic. Secondly, the gears are laughably tightly stacked, the likes of which you'd never find on a road car today. The 4WD system feels front-biased (which it is), but the car is obedient. Slightly faster than the JCW, it lands above two vintage Ferraris, and directly below my favourite front-drive sporty coupe, the ITR.

01:01.205 - 2014 Lexus IS 350 F Sport - 306 HP - 3593 LBS - FR - 404 - SlipZtrEm - Controller
The Lexus is surprisingly competent on track. It's lardy, unfortunately, but it has the sort of balance and sweet, nat-asp six cylinder power you used to get from BMW. You can play with the balance in turns, though obviously keeping it pointed straight is the fastest. That it nips at the heels of far more overtly sporting cars (the S1 and Megane) and actually beats an M5 is impressive. I imagine putting it on a diet could make for a serious C-Mod challenger.

01:01.804 - 1984 Peugeot 205 Turbo 16 - 200 HP - 2524 LBS - MR - 406 - SlipZtrEm - Controller
This felt much faster than the lap time would prove to be. Undoubtedly because it graduated from the Stratos school of getting sideways at any opportunity. It takes a lot of care to extract a time from the Pug. The most difficult section of the track is the first turn: trail braking provides the ideal line for nearly every car I've used, but the 205 will pitch in sideways indefinitely. You best be quick with the countersteer. It narrowly avoids being the slowest of the non-SUV's in this group.

00:59.974 - 2009 Honda S2000 CR - 237 HP - 2813 LBS - FR - 410 - SlipZtrEm - Controller
Well, we knew this would be fast. The S2000 always made more sense on the track, where its lack of torque worked in its favour. Lime Rock proves as much, and it feels tailor-made to the curves here. The engine still screams (though not as high as the original 2.0L unit), and the car carries fantastic speed through every turn. It would eventually be knocked off the C-Stock podium by the end of the group, but I predict it will stay near the top 10% even after the entire class is done.

01:00.398 - 1990 Mercedes-Benz 190E 2.5-16 Evolution II - 235 HP - 2954 LBS - FR - 413 - SlipZtrEm - Controller
Given the close times of the Sierra and E30 before this, I was curious how much faster it might end up being, given the PI difference (and how little that can mean on a tight track like Lime Rock). Turns out, it is significantly faster after all. It actually felt surprisingly close to the S2000, but with a more languid, long-legged quality to it, which made it quick to get familiar with. A good partner, the 190E feels like a friend after only a few turns of the wheels.

00:59.873 - 1982 Lancia 037 Stradale - 202 HP - 2540 LBS - MR - 415 - SlipZtrEm - Controller
This isn't nuts like the Stratos! Nope, the 037 just grips and goes, blessed with preturnatural agility, the Lancia slices through turns. The only let-down is the asthmatic engine, as it doesn't sound particularly wild, and doesn't feel it, either.

01:01.770 - 2005 Dodge SRT4 ACR - 230 HP - 2984 LBS - FF - 415 - SlipZtrEm - Controller
This Neon is a modern muscle car. No, really: it had a powerful engine dropped into an otherwise mundane everyday car, an engine so strong the chassis can barely contain it. It hunts for grip at each press of the throttle. It feels just like driving a 60's HEMI, except in reverse. So no, it's not very fast here.

01:01.173 - 2010 Renault Megane RS 250 - 250 HP - 3058 LBS - FF - 417 - SlipZtrEm - Controller
The Megane has quite the reputation as a hot hatch, so I was curious what it could pull off here. At the time of its lap, it did manage to be the quickest of the breed around here, but it was soon beat out by two other cars in the group. It handles well enough, and doesn't have trouble containing the 250hp. What is surprising - and probably not likely out in the real world - is that the GT86 beat it.

00:59.885 - 2005 Lotus Elise 111S - 156 HP - 1777 LBS - MR - 418 - SlipZtrEm - Controller
Ah, my C-Mod weapon in stock form. The Elise suffers from awfully long stock gearing, which accounts for at least a few tenths here. It can get a little squirrelly if you're savage with your inputs, but that's really not how you drive an Elise. Driven smoothly, you get into a rhythm that can be addictive, and before you realize, the five laps are up. It's a blast.

01:00.876 - 1967 Lamborghini Miura P400 - 350 HP - 2745 LBS - MR - 418 - SlipZtrEm - Controller
The classic. The origin point of the word "supercar". I was shocked at how light it is, since a car with these stats, even in 2016, would be considered serious business. The Miura doesn't like to be hustled, listing into roll oversteer if pushed too hard, but otherwise felt pretty good on track. A time just south of the best from the class before (excluding the freakish, cheater TF car) is certainly respectable for a car about to celebrate its 50th birthday.

01:01.375 - 1987 Buick Regal GNX - 300 HP - 3545 LBS - FR - 420 - SlipZtrEm - Controller
Revs like a truck (truck, truck). At least it's quicker than the Syclone. While it doesn't feel quite as porky as you'd expect, it certainly isn't fast around turns. Needs a diet.

01:01.305 - 2013 Ford Focus ST - 247 HP - 2976 LBS - FF - 420 - SlipZtrEm - Controller
Very slightly behind the Megane is exactly what I'd expect of this. It feels unsure, like there's some hesitation between your inputs and the response from the front. Anodyne engine doesn't help. I hope the RS is more exciting...

01:01.105 - 2015 Audi S1 - 228 HP - 2899 LBS - 4WD - 420 - SlipZtrEm - Controller
Is this a product of the four-ring brand? Because, despite being a little chunky, and 4WD, it's genuinely fun! It dives into corners with a sense of enthusiasm I didn't expect, rotating the right amount, and powering right out. It's not near the top of the class with its lap time, but it's quick enough, and being fun counts for a lot.

01:03.855 - 2014 Land Rover Range Rover Supercharged - 510 HP - 5612 LBS - 4WD - 424 - SlipZtrEm - Controller
Oof. Slower than a handful of E Class cars, the Rangie is incredibly slow. Of course, it's one of the least-suitable vehicles for hot lapping, even more so at a tight, winding track like this. It makes a decent fist of things, but you need to remember to enter turns at least 5-10mph slower than you would in everything else. I saw 75mph at the slowest point at Uphill, for example. Weight transfer can cause some serious slides if you're not careful.

01:01.274 - 1995 BMW M5 - 342 HP - 3772 LBS - FR - 424 - SlipZtrEm - Controller
The E34 sits in a weird position. It's far heavier than the M5 before it (though it feels at least 300 pounds lighter than the quoted weight), and is missing the V8 and all-rounder reputation of the E39 that came after. I've really grown to like it over the last few years though, and lapping it didn't hurt those feelings. It sounds fantastic, the enlarged six just wailing in front of you. It rides smoothly with a clean balance, and as mentioned before, feels far lighter than expected. Good times.

01:00.532 - 2002 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am Ram Air - 325 HP - 3495 LBS - FR - 425 - SlipZtrEm - Controller
I was looking forward to this one. The final Firebird is something of a guilty pleasure for me: growing up, there was a wild tuned one in my neighbourhood. It was visually stock save for some exhaust tips, which doesn't mean much when the car is so outrageous straight from the factory. While the F-bodies have a reputation for mullets and burnouts, as I've grown up, I've discovered they also make some very serious grassroots autocross racers. It's not surprising, really: a long wheelbase and massively wide tires are a good base. This lapped with conviction, those giant nostrils up front sniffing out apexes with aplomb. Go try it with an open mind, you'll be impressed.

00:59.989 - 2009 Pontiac Solstice GXP - 260 HP - 3018 LBS - FR - 429 - SlipZtrEm - Controller
A total non-shocker, I expected the Solstice to run pretty much toe-to-toe with the S2000. While the base car was undoubtedly targeting the Miata, the rare GXP (and even rarer GXP Coupe, as seen here) moved up a class thanks to the power of it's turbo engine, to give Z4's and S2000's a scare. Sure, it had one of the stupidest trunk designs known to man, but that matters little here. It's looser than the S2000, and the turbo engine doesn't feel 260 horses strong, but the lap time doesn't lie: it lands just on the right side of the minute barrier.

01:01.089 - 1995 BMW 850CSi - 372 HP - 4240 LBS - FR - 431 - SlipZtrEm - Controller
One of the heavier cars to go around the track, I wasn't expecting much of BMW's unusual 90's GT, even with the fantastic V12 underhood. The car might have the fabled "CSi" badge, but it just feels wrong to track it, right? It makes a decent fist of things though, gamely taking turns at speeds comparable to the norm. It ends up with a lap time only 3 thousandths away from the E30 M3, which isn't terrible company to be in. Surely on a bigger track, the big 8 would leave it for dead, but that's the great thing about Lime Rock; it's an equalizer.

01:00.809 - 2012 MINI John Cooper Works GP - 215 HP - 2557 LBS - FF - 434 - SlipZtrEm - Controller
How poetic that I end this group on the final evolution of the car that I started on. There are 34 cars between these two on the board as I type this (it'll undoubtedly grow as C Stock fleshes out), and yet, barely more than a second separates them. It's not just the 7 extra horses, or the 150-ish less pounds this is carrying; it's the grip from the tires, and the stiffened rear suspension that helps it rotate better. I was shocked by how much the rear stepped out heading into the first turn, actually.

@SlipZtrEm Your spreadsheet is missing the function to add up total Auto Union times on both the stock and modified Manufacturer breakdown boards. :P

Also I've been setting a lot of times on the Nordschleife recently but I know you're busy with this board, news posts and moderating duties. I don't mind updating the board if it takes the load off of you and gets the board going.

Think the Trofeo got overshadowed by every other car in its DLC pack; no-one really cares about the winner of a one make amateur championship for an eight year old model. Still, shouldn't be overlooked.

I only ended up using two gears for the entire lap, and this isn't one of the four-speeds geared for Mulsanne  Drives like you expect a production-based race car to be like, so it's fairly weighty and has a not unpleasant amount of V8 torque that makes you watch yourself in the corners.

Honestly, updating the board isn't that bad - it's mostly just copy/paste now, since the colour coding is largely taken care of considering the size. I've just massively favoured the LR one because I don't have the free time to do laps of the 'Ring as much as I'd like.

Please, post those Nurb times! I'm okay for now, so thank you, but I may take you up on that offer in the next few weeks. :D

Sure, any time. I will post them when I get back to my Xbox as there are some I haven't got saved on my phone.

I'm going through some classes for modified trying to compare how different cars perform (for multiplayer purposes), I've done all X class cars (excluding duplicate Indy cars), I think 6 or 7 in P and then various other cars in other classes, I think once I've done X, P and R I'll go back to choosing random cars and classes as there's probably a good 250 cars which can reach the top of S class while still being somewhat controllable.

And that Team Forza MX-5 time is ridiculous . Almost 1.5 seconds over 2nd in D class stock is crazy, but I guess in reality it's just a modified MX-5 which you can buy in that form to consider it stock.

@Im_Lukas - Yeah, the ND is pretty much cheating. I set the tune to default before driving just in case I had fiddled before though, and even checking it after, it doesn't look like T10 did anything too different to it, other than just fit the parts. I'm amazed at how well it worked. Now, the challenge is to get my own non-TF ND to that level!

01:01.266 - 2009 Ford Focus RS - 300 HP - 3236 LBS - FF - 437 - SlipZtrEm - Controller
Isn't quite the mad bastard you'd expect, being able to put down the power quite cleanly. It's just too heavy, really. But that I5 is so much more interesting than the characterless 2.0L turbo four in the ST. Almost feels 4WD.

01:01.002 - 2006 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX GSR - 286 HP - 3285 LBS - 4WD - 439 - SlipZtrEm - Controller
Feels like an Evo. Pointy, does as it's told, agricultural exhaust note. Just couldn't break the 61-second barrier, at least with me behind the wheel. Oddly, she calls it an IX MR. Oh yeah, any idea why it's PI is so low compared to the rest of the family?

01:00.321 - 2003 Nissan Fairlady Z - 287 HP - 3310 LBS - FR - 440 - SlipZtrEm - Controller
Remember when the Z appeared to have big, grippy tires? Yeah, me too. This has a hard time keeping in contact with the road, constantly on the verge of sliding. It's great for maneuverability, but doesn't exactly imbue confidence.

01:00.344 - 1995 Ford SVT Cobra R - 300 HP - 3226 LBS - FR - 440 - SlipZtrEm - Controller
This felt much better, so its a shame the old 'Stang ended up slightly behind the Z, if even only by a hair. The big 351 sounds great up front, and the car has surprising purchase of the tarmac. Don't let prejudices get in the way!

01:01.069 - 1957 Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa - 300 HP - 2028 LBS - FR - 442 - SlipZtrEm - Controller
Whoa boy. This was one of the harder laps to extract. The 250 TR is so fast in a straight line, but has so little grip from its hilariously-narrow tires, that it's really hard to be consistent. Braking needs to be planned in advance. But the view over that humped hood is magical, so a lot can be forgiven.

01:01.694 - 1968 Ferrari 365 GTB/4 - 405 HP - 3600 LBS - FR - 442 - SlipZtrEm - Controller
Y'know, I've never understood the draw of the Daytona. It's fat. I've never found it particularly pretty either, considering what came before and after. But driving it helped. It sounds great, for one: that cultured, rich noise down low, and the trademark Ferrari wail up high. But a track car this isn't. It lumbered its way to the slowest time of the group.

01:01.100 - 1997 Mitsubishi GTO - 320 HP - 3704 LBS - 4WD - 445 - SlipZtrEm - Controller
Just barely beating @Im_Lukas here, I didn't really know what to expect from the GTO. It's an easy drive of course, given the weight, but I didn't expect it to clock a time so close to baby bro Evo. Impressive.

01:00.315 - 2012 Infiniti IPL G Coupe - 348 HP - 3727 LBS - FR - 446 - SlipZtrEm - Controller
This is what progress has given us: a decade on from the launch of the 350Z, this fattened-up stablemate bests it by 0.006. Sounds good, but feels that weight. How is this car so heavy?! The extra 61hp is almost completely negated.

01:01.587 - 2012 Vauxhall Astra VXR - 276 HP - 3252 LBS - FF - 446 - SlipZtrEm - Controller
Another chubby contender, I've got a soft spot for the Astra. It's great looking, and summons quite a lot of grip from those over-worked front tires. But it just can't take turns at a quick speed, and that cost it a quarter-second against the Focus.

01:01.177 - 2013 Lexus GS350 F Sport - 306 HP - 3970 LBS - 4WD - 448 - SlipZtrEm - Controller
Now this is surprising. Despite an extra 400 pounds on account of its 4WD system, the GS has no more power than little brother IS 350, and is saddled with a huge 40 PI handicap. I'm really not sure why it is, or why it's ever so slightly faster. But that's the case. It didn't feel bad around the track, feeling lighter than the Infiniti, but I'd say go for the IS instead.

00:59.968 - 1981 BMW M1 - 277 HP - 2866 LBS - MR - 449 - SlipZtrEm - Controller
Ah, the classic. It can get a little slidey on you if you're not careful, particular at Uphill, but I'd be willing to forgive the M1 a lot based on the looks and sounds. Unsurprisingly, it runs very close to the 1M Coupe, just as it did for me at the 'Ring in FM5. Go drive it!

01:00.558 - 2011 Volkswagen Scirocco R - 261 HP - 2963 LBS - FF - 455 - SlipZtrEm - Controller
The Scirocco is fast and composed, just as you'd expect of a modern VAG product. No other hatch has cleared the 61 second mark, so on that alone, I approve.

01:01.215 - 1995 Audi RS 2 Avant - 311 HP - 3517 LBS - 4WD - 460 - SlipZtrEm - Controller
Such a modern classic. I've really grown to like the Porsche-fettled Audi wagon over the years, but like most of the 4WD cars in this class, it just can't match the pace. It understeers pretty severely, and is especially susceptible to deflection from the curbing. At least it sounds nice?

01:01.181 - 2004 Audi S4 - 340 HP - 3825 LBS - 4WD - 460 - SlipZtrEm - Controller
Speaking of, this too sounds nice. Still seems weird to hear the V8 growl coming from such a boring shape. While this is faster than the RS2 - just - it's not as enjoyable. Look at that weight!

01:00.637 - 2011 Subaru WRX STI - 305 HP - 3384 LBS - 4WD - 463 - SlipZtrEm - Controller
Oh, the poor Scoobs. They just can't pull any sort of quick times with me behind the wheel. This is slightly slower than the 22B, and just feels kind of... Blah.

01:00.534 - 2008 Subaru Impreza WRX STI - 305 HP - 3395 LBS - 4WD - 466 - SlipZtrEm - Controller
Same as above, with slightly more pep (more torque). Could just be me, but feels ever so slightly more tail-happy. Slightly faster than the 22B.

01:00.316 - 2010 Volkswagen Golf R - 267 HP - 3188 LBS - 4WD - 467 - SlipZtrEm - Controller
Ah, the Golf R. I couldn't have been alone in thinking it was a second-rate WRX/Evo competitor when first released. But as those cars have stopped evolving, this has leapfrogged them. The VI feels lively, more willing to bend to your will than the Japanese stuff. It sounds decent too. Way to go, VW.

01:00.309 - 2014 Volkswagen Golf R - 296 HP - 3254 LBS - 4WD - 468 - SlipZtrEm - Controller
Well this was disappointing. I worked so hard to get this ahead of the VI. I think T10 have made a mistake here: while the VI has a 54/46 weight distribution, the VII comes in at 61/39. Considering how similar they are, I find that strange. It explains the persistent understeer though.

00:59.480 - 1997 Mazda RX-7 - 261 HP - 2831 LBS - FR - 469 - SlipZtrEm - Controller
Oh hey, look: a Mazda on top of the class. The RX-7 isn't an easy steer, but getting used to its tricky nature means holding it on the verge of grip, scoring hugely fast corner speeds. It's addictive.

01:00.519 - 2011 Audi RS 3 Sportback - 335 HP - 3472 LBS - 4WD - 473 - SlipZtrEm - Controller
Meh. Feels heavy compared to the fun (yes, fun) of the Golfs. It's a great sounding five, but that's all the RS3 has going for it. Get the TT RS instead.

And the new DLC:

01:07.214 - 1979 Opel Kadett C GT/E - 114 HP - 2028 LBS - FR - 255 - SlipZtrEm - Controller
Bwa ha ha ha, the gearing! You've barely got anything left in third by the time you hit 60mph, and fourth pretty much keeps the 20mph/gear average intact too. I had to readjust to driving slower cars, remembering that T1 is handled far differently in something like this, and Uphill barely requires a lift. A respectable time, with nothing ahead of it on the board with a higher PI. The only thing close is the freakish Alfa Spider!

01:06.310 - 1973 Nissan Skyline GT-R - 158 HP - 2524 LBS - FR - 277 - SlipZtrEm - Controller
What a difference a handful of pounds, and a different body, can make. The '73 is one of my favourite cars, but those narrow tires and the tall stance meant I couldn't get it within 0.8s of the earlier '71. That's too bad. It still sounds good though, and does admirably enough compared to the class.

01:04.634 - 1973 Holden HQ Monaro GTS 350 - 275 HP - 3150 LBS - FR - 309 - SlipZtrEm - Controller
Weeeeee! The Monaro lands near the bottom of the muscle car pile, but considering it's packing a lot less power, that's fine by me. In a fun shade of pink, I think this could have the workings of a serious D-Mod competitor, since you've got that much more room to mod it.

00:52.246 - 2015 Mazda Formula Mazda - 180 HP - 1254 LBS - MR - 714 - SlipZtrEm - Controller
I love it. I love it so much. Driving cars like this, that rely so much on grip and downforce, can be a challenge, but it's a blast to focus on the conservation of speed at such a high tier. The rotary hums away behind you, and you can dive into turns at frankly ludicrous speeds, safe in the knowledge the black art of aero will be there.

00:51.568 - 2016 W Motors Lykan HyperSport - 740 HP - 3042 LBS - MR - 835 - SlipZtrEm - Controller
Nuts. Completely and utterly nuts. The Lykan accelerates with such force, you'd swear it was hiding an extra 200hp over the quoted amount. Looking at the throttle can pile on an extra 10mph. I was stomping on the brakes from over 170mph on the main straight! It behaves far better than you'd expect of a first-attempt hypercar. The grip is phenomenal, and the brakes are more powerful than I would've expected, with brake distances comparable to far slower cars. It's a little out of its league as a road car in R Class, but it's a lot of fun anyway.

00:50.226 - 2015 Nissan #1 NISMO MOTUL AUTECH GT-R - 550 HP - 2249 LBS - FR - 863 - SlipZtrEm - Controller
GT500 cars always felt easy in GT. Same too in FM4. Not so much here. While the aero continues to dominate the handling equation, the car can and will step out if you're too judicious with the throttle application. Take it slow, brake early, and follow proper race lines, and it rewards. I know there's a 49 in this car for me (the sectors showed as much), but I couldn't string it together today.

00:42.949 - 2014 Toyota #8 Toyota Racing TS040 HYBRID - 784 HP - 2033 LBS - 4WD - 990 - SlipZtrEm - Controller
Now this, this is easier to drive! The Toyota is madness, a literal laugh. The only reason I stopped lapping was that it seemed unfair to keep going. I had it in my head that this time was way off pace, as I was remembering Lukas' 787B time, only to now see that was for the Modified board. Saw an additional .4 left on the sectors with this too. With the higher classes, I'm so far out of my depth that it's uncomfortable!

Another dozen, with a few changes up top:

00:59.566 - 1998 Toyota Supra RZ - 320 HP - 3329 LBS - FR - 473 - SlipZtrEm - Controller
Despite what the Internet will have you believe, the Supra is better at more than four-digit dyno pulls. It's got just the right balance for a track attack: rear-drive, powerful straight-six, little in the way of turbo lag, and well-spaced gears. It was a joy to lap, and it wasn't surprising it ended up with such a quick time.

01:01.229 - 1983 Audi Sport quattro - 306 HP - 2807 LBS - 4WD - 473 - SlipZtrEm - Controller
Continuing my spell of slow lap times in all-paw cars, the SWB and I just don't get along. It pushes, the heavy nose leading the way when I wanted it to tuck into turns. It deserves better than this.

00:59.571 - 2013 Hyundai Genesis Coupe 3.8 Track - 348 HP - 3433 LBS - FR - 474 - SlipZtrEm - Controller
Feeling very much like you'd expect a modern, non-turbo version of the Supra to feel, the Genesis is a good companion. Essentially tied with that car, we really got along. Nothing stood out, but in this case, that's a good thing.

01:02.273 - 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT - 470 HP - 5150 LBS - 4WD - 476 - SlipZtrEm - Controller
Felt surprisingly car-like for the first little while. Can take slower turns, like T1/T2, very much like a car would, with very little to tell it apart on the speedo. The high seating sort of gives it away, though. On the quicker stuff, the weight and height conspire to keep it from setting any comparable times. But hey, a low 1:02 isn't bad at all.

00:59.244 - 1965 Alfa Romeo Giulia TZ2 - 170 HP - 1367 LBS - FR - 477 - SlipZtrEm - Controller
This is a personal favourite from GT5, and as it first showed up in Horizon 2 last year, I had yet to drive it in a Forza game. I was apprehensive about it, worrying it wouldn't live up to my high standards, but it's a joy. Surprisingly quick (and feeling so), it had one of the higher peak speeds from the standing start of the first lap heading into T1. In GT5, I had bumped up the power a tiny bit to find a sweet spot, but I'm wondering if that will even be necessary here. A build will follow, surely. This puts a bit of breathing room between it and the rest of the class, but it's a short-lived lead...

00:59.117 - 2002 Chevrolet Camaro 35th Anniversary SS - 325 HP - 3554 LBS - FR - 481 - SlipZtrEm - Controller
I knew the Camaro would be the leader as soon as we went through the first turn. Like the Firebird before it, it has a chassis made for fast-lapping: wide track, wide tires, and a long-ish wheelbase. It feels great, with a superb balance that isn't ripped apart by an abundance of power. It definitely doesn't feel as heavy as quoted, either.

00:59.967 - 1997 Maserati Ghibli Cup - 326 HP - 3009 LBS - FR - 481 - SlipZtrEm - Controller
Eh, about where I expected it to fall. The Ghibli is a strange one, its unusual-yet-benign looks translating to the driving experience a little too well. I almost immediately forgot how it drove.

01:00.149 - 1986 Lancia Delta S4 - 247 HP - 2646 LBS - 4WD - 481 - SlipZtrEm - Controller
I love this car. It deserves a faster time than this. I really wanted to take it under the minute mark, but that wasn't meant to be today. Sounds fun, and doesn't have the boring, understeery balance of other 4WD cars thanks to the midship engine. What a joy.

00:59.918 - 1970 Ford Escort RS1600 F&F Edition - 245 HP - 1731 LBS - FR - 485 - SlipZtrEm - Controller
This was a weird one. Long-legged, with a very high redline, I thought that maybe it wouldn't be the rambunctious rebel it looked like. I was wrong. Whatever you do, don't try to upshift with any amount of lock on, as it's roughly equivalent to hitting a button marked "Drift".

00:59.828 - 1997 BMW M3 - 321 HP - 3219 LBS - FR - 486 - SlipZtrEm - Controller
Felt like a BMW.

00:58.875 - 1956 Jaguar D-Type - 245 HP - 2100 LBS - FR - 487 - SlipZtrEm - Controller
Whoa! Considering the other cars from the era, I expected the Jag to be a bit wayward, but it obviously didn't get the memo. It corners at alarming speed, and stays glued to the pavement during it. It will edge out a bit in the quicker stuff, but only enough to get you aligned with the exit as quickly as possible, so you can get back on the throttle. It felt fantastic, and I recommend going out and trying it now.

00:59.859 - 1997 Nissan Skyline GT-R V-Spec - 278 HP - 3393 LBS - 4WD - 489 - SlipZtrEm - Controller
The middle child. I feel like the R33 gets forgotten between the two GT-R's on either side of it, much like the E36 does (which is from the same year, as luck would have it). The GT-R ends up right around its countrymen, and felt good doing the laps, with the rear-biased 4WD system making itself known. An underdog.

Beat my previous best a while ago. One of my favorite cars in the game, it's fantastic to drive.

00:51.603 - 1967 Honda RA300 - 420 HP - 1301 LBS - MR - 767 - Almu89 - Controller
Another favorite of mine, even though it has plenty of understeer on turn in. On the other hand, it has tons of grip on corner exits. And it sounds fantastic in cockpit view!

00:51.654 - 1967 Brabham BT24 - 330 HP - 1140 LBS - MR - 774 - Almu89 - Controller
Probably the most balanced 60's F1, but not as easy to drive as the RA300. How can it be so quick when it has so little power?

00:52.488 - 1967 Lotus Type 49 - 404 HP - 1105 LBS - MR - 775 - Almu89 - Controller
Umm, yeah... I do not like this one . It has to be the hardest car to drive in this game. It's very light and powerful, the skinny rear tires give you very little grip and the suspension is very soft... Even in a straight line you have to be careful with the throttle, unless the track surface is perfectly smooth

00:52.570 - 1967 Eagle-Weslake T1G - 410 HP - 1309 LBS - MR - 766 - Almu89 - Controller
Don't really remember what this was like to drive. I guess it wasn't all that bad, but didn't have much rear end grip?

00:52.806 - 1966 McLaren M2B - 300 HP - 1179 LBS - MR - 748 - Almu89 - Controller
The M2B has "only" 30 HP less than the Brabham BT24, yet it feels very underpowered. Not the most exciting car to drive but it's easy to handle.

Some more recently driven cars:

00:48.777 - 2015 Nissan #1 NISMO MOTUL AUTECH GT-R - 550 HP - 2249 LBS - FR - 863 - Almu89 - Controller
Honestly, I'm quite annoyed that they didn't get the sound right. The car itself was fine, a bit understeery for my taste in stock form.

00:51.065 - 2016 W Motors Lykan HyperSport - 740 HP - 3042 LBS - MR - 835 - Almu89 - Controller
What a hideous pig this is. I wouldn't have driven this at all if I hadn't paid for it. It's fast and handles ok but I just don't like it.

01:06.458 - 1979 Opel Kadett C GT/E - 114 HP - 2028 LBS - FR - 255 - Almu89 - Controller
The Kadett is my favorite car from the latest DLC pack, by far. I don't even know why I like it so much. I'm just very happy to have an old Opel in the game.

I have a couple of times to post for once. I actually spent a good amount of time on the track last night, and enjoyed it. I'm fairly new to the track, and even though it seems straightforward enough, it can be tricky to get the perfect run through. The cars I had available for A class have a good balance, with a slight edge in acceleration and speed, but I had to ditch that in order to achieve good times on this short course.

Modified:

00:54.401 - 1988 Lamborghini Jalpa - 562 HP - 2807lbs - MR - 700 - ImaRobot - Controller
This car never ceases to amaze me, no matter what class it is in. It has great turn in, and doesn't' get forced into power oversteer situations. I was able to throw it's weight into a turn, and it being MR with a good amount of rear downforce, it wouldn't get to the point of sliding out.

00:54.762 - 1972 Mazda Cosmo - 457 HP - 2154lbs - MR - 700 - ImaRobot - Controller
This car doesn't really seem too fast when driving, but it might be because it only has 5 gears. I couldn't get this thing to break lose for the life of me. Don't let that confuse you though, because understeer was not a problem whatsoever. Much more planted than the RX8, but a bit boring because of that. It does have great acceleration, though.

00:54.862 - 2011 Mazda RX8 - 475 HP - 2885lbs - FR - 700 - ImaRobot - Controller
The RX8 has never been my first choice for a vehicle, I usually always stuck with the RX7, but this car pleasantly surprised me. It just sticks like no other. I guess I'll have to start giving the newer sibling some more love in the future.

My time for the GT-R GT500 had already been bested by @Sutuki before I even submitted it so I decided to put in a lap with the half-a-P1 car. Do like it. It's quite novel that something this fast has an FF layout, and it looks extremely fetching in the retro #21 livery.

What a rush. This has quickly become a favourite for me, and done up in a GTPlanet livery, I think it has the makings of a beautiful new spec series. It felt a little overkill to build it all the way up to S800, but there is room. Shame you can't put a six-speed on. It landed as 32nd in the Americas with this time, and there's a few of them already harrying the very peak, so it's a leaderboard favourite. I'd be wary of taking it online, since it's so small, it'll get knocked around by idiots. Provided they can catch you. @Im_Lukas - the 3.0CSL looked huge as a ghost in Rivals! :D

(EDIT) I'm following @Im_Lukas' lead and storing the write-ups in spoilers to shorten the thread:

2011 BMW X5 M
Bring back the Grand Cherokee! The X5 M is just sloppy. All four corners will overheat at various points of a lap if you're not excessively conservative. It does feel car-like, but not like a good car. Skip it.

2015 Volvo S60 Polestar
This felt a lot faster. Still suffers from my inability to set a competitive 4WD time, though. What am I doing wrong?!

2011 HSV GTS
About where I expected a heavy, Vette-engined sedan to end up. Not nearly the hooligan you would expect, the HSV finds good grip coming out of turns.

1957 Maserati 300 S
I wasn't sure if this would follow the Jag's lead or be more like the 250 TR. Thankfully, it's like the Jag, complete with a ridiculously-long first gear. You'll be knocking on the door of 100mph before you shift into second, and you can do an entire lap with just those two gears. It makes it easier to focus on the task at hand though; getting the flow right, nailing the apexes with just a hint of attitude from the rear keeping you pointed in the right direction. Addictive.

2008 Mitsubishi Lancer Evo X GSR
New Evo feels heavy. Leaden. Not a fan at all. Boring noise, too!

2004 Subaru Impreza WRX STi
The older GD-chassis Scoobs feel very similar (as expected), though both feel comfortably more adjustable than the newer cars (especially, as I'll find out, compared to the newest edition). I love that sound, I love that the car doesn't feel over-tired, which is the case with a lot of modern vehicles. It's getting a little quicker, as I've finally dipped under the minute mark, while the Hawkeye version improves incrementally on that. Still well off Lukas' Evo VI pace, though.

2005 Subaru Impreza WRX STi
See above.

2004 Mitsubishi Lancer Evo VIII MR
So close! The VIII feels a lot better, but I still can't get to where I think it should be. The worst part is that I can't even see where I'm losing time relative to the Evo VI. That's super-frustrating. Drives better than the X in every way.

2013 Mercedes-Benz G 65 AMG
Hahaha. To illustrate how out of depth the G is on the race track, take note that a stock NA Miata is very slightly faster. Of course, on any longer track, the big, boxy Merc would dominate. It needs to enter turns somewhere around 10mph slower than most of the other vehicles if it has any hope of making it around, yet is still clocking exit speeds that are the same, or even higher, than the sports cars. The exception is the final turn, where it just can't get comfortable until much later post-apex. Good fun, if not especially productive.

1990 Vauxhall Lotus Carlton
I had high hopes for the Carlton, and it didn't disappoint. Other than the engine's voice, that is. It has the right pieces for a quick lap, and it puts one together convincingly despite now being considered a classic car. You need to be patient with the throttle application, but it carries on a conversation with you, letting you know when it's time. Really good fun, it makes short work of another high-powered sedan that's coming up...

2015 Subaru WRX STI
Bah, what a disappointment. I had to work really hard for this time, and the Subaru seemed as unhappy about it as I did. It understeers pretty severely in the slow corners, and needs some gratuitous weight transfer to get it pointed in the right direction in the faster stuff. Since it's also a blobby-looking thing compared to the older models, I see no reason to recommend it over any of them.

2012 Dodge Charger SRT8
Sloppy. The Charger has more power than the aging Merc chassis knows what to do with (which, I suppose, was the criticism of AMG E's around that time, too). It has a poorly-spaced, slow-shifting transmission too (yep, even in manual), with the gaps in shove noticeable. Another big disappointment, doubly so when you consider it's sitting right at the top of the class PI-wise.

2015 Audi S3 Sedan
The car we all took around in the demo finally gets a flying lap! It took a lot of effort to break into the 59's, and I didn't think to compare sectors to the original demo times. It's alright enough: I couldn't help but compare it favourably to the other 300HP, 4WD, 2015 model sedan (the Scoob), but neither would rank very high on my list if I was forced to pick a stock car in this class. That said, it's interesting to see Audi topple the rally favourite with the be-trunked version of their little model.

2003 Nissan Team Forza Fairlady Z
The TF Z continues the tradition of the pre-modded cars dominating their classes, though at least this isn't quite the blowout the MX-5 had in the class below. At just about a half-second faster than the second-place Jag, the Z nevertheless does upset the class above, as it's faster than Mercedes' new C63, which is right near the top of A-Stock in PI. This raises an interesting aspect as we move onto the next class; increasingly with the untuneable road cars, we're likely to find some upsets, as some cars are just going to be massively better suited to Lime Rock than others. In the lower classes, there wasn't really enough power to make this obvious, but considering how the top of D was able to hang right in the thick of C times, it should be entertaining to see.

2003 Audi RS 6
What a noise. The RS6 sounds mean, with a note wholly unexpected from such a boring shape. It falls into my usual problem of being slow thanks to 4WD, but at least it beats the upstart little brother, the RS3. Dull as dishwater.

2000 Ford SVT Cobra R
Another one with a great sound. Sadly, I think the weight is what blunts this, as it just barely squeaks by the Camaro. That said, it's a great tool to get to grips with rear drive, as it doesn't surprise you in any way. It'll do exactly what you expect of it, and is probably an excellent base.

1968 Dodge Charger F&F Edition
This thing is a riot. The trick to getting fast times with such an unlikely-looking tool is to brake early. Once you do, you can set it up in the turn, and power out at speeds that will match what has come before. So while it's definitely not challenging the top of the class, it turns in a respectable time that puts it smack dab between two hot hatches.

2003 BMW M5
The poor M5 may be known as one of the greatest all-rounders of all time, but it struggles to set a quick lap. It's just too heavy to do damage at Lime Rock, but at least slides under the minute mark. Better for the higher-speed stuff.

2005 BMW M3
No wonder this was one of the first cars we ran at the 'Ring in FM5. This is one of the easiest cars to drive, yet isn't boring, and is still reasonably fast. It really does tick all the boxes. It'll slide if you push it, as you'd expect of something with over 300hp being sent to the rear, but keep things tidy and it will reward you. This will teach you the art of steering by the throttle.

1992 Honda NSX-R
An exemplary mid-engine rocket. Perky, and capable of incredible cornering speeds, the NSX will slice through turns so long as you treat it properly. Upsetting the balance will give you a physics lesson, with the weight of the V6 behind doing its best to try to outrun you. It barely dips under 90mph through The Uphill, nor 100mph in The Downhill.

1993 Nissan Skyline GT-R V-Spec
Just slightly less than a second slower than the NSX, the R32 became the fastest 4WD road car I've taken around here (though still slightly slower than @Im_Lukas in the Evo). It felt good. Light and responsive, it really does feel like a rear-drive car until you get it out of shape. The model still doesn't look quite right, though...

1958 Aston Martin DBR1
I made a mistake here at first: I took the Aston out as a rental, not realizing I had a Mod equipped for extra grip. It beat the NSX, but I couldn't see it on the leaderboards. Finally figured out why! The rental was a response to my fast-depleting bank account, as I'm now hovering around 5 million. Anyway, the Aston runs much like the Maser and Jag before it: quickly, and cleanly, with more grip than you'd expect from a car of its age. It also sounds wonderful. It's no wonder these can be made competitive in the higher classes!

Nissan 370Z
The 370Z feels like the ultimate track-optimized 350Z (yes, more so than the slightly asthmatic Team Forza car). It's torquier without getting wayward, revs higher, has tightly-stacked ratios, and grips harder. With the slightly shorter wheelbase, it's also more willing to rotate. The lap feels similar to the NSX's, so it's not surprising that the time ends up so close too. A pleasant steer.

2012 Chrysler 300 SRT8
Now this was unexpected: with slightly less horsepower and the same weight, the 300 feels like a different car than its stablemate, the Charger. It's still a bit too much car for such a small track, but it controls its weight better than the rebellious Dodge. It's – whisper it – kind of fun. I've avoided it for a while, and I doubt it could ever be made truly competitive, but it certainly doesn't feel like a penalty box. A time faster than an Evo and the Golf R surprises me.

2014 Chevrolet SS
Feels very much like the 300, unsurprisingly. Or, as much as badge snobs would hate to hear it, like the E39 M5 that it so narrowly pips on the board. Good spread of torque, fine balance, it really is the four-door Camaro. Looks better, too.

2000 BMW Z8
Half a second. That's how much dropping 400 lbs will save you compared to the much cheaper M5 that shares this engine. I've always been a huge fan of the Z8 (Fisker showed signs of greatness already), and while it's hardly a car made for the track, it feels happy enough here. Feels like a modern muscle car more than a European sportster, though.

Audi RS 4 Avant
Narrowly beating the R32 as the fastest four-wheeler, the RS4 feels very modern. It's fun in a way I didn't expect, though the noise is nothing in comparison to every RS that has come before (2, 3, and 6). The extra weight and stiffness out back is most welcome, as it minimizes the understeer that Audis are so (in)famous for.

2015 Ford Mustang GT
The "base" of the new-gen pony car, this still can't build up a sizeable lead on not only the last Cobra R, but troublingly, the F-Body Camaro as well. Just as I did with the older model, I blame the weight: this thing feels it. It's playful and soft-edged, making it an easy car to come to terms with, but a track car this most certainly ain't.

1962 Ferrari 250 GTO
Over a half-decade old, this can still hang with the modern stuff. I've barely driven this in previous games, so I can come into it really enjoying what it offers. I love how cars of this era have supremely long first gears, as a sort of built-in traction control in the face of lousy tires. This requires patience before you let the V12 rip, but rewards you with a beautiful song and surprisingly fast times.

2005 Honda NSX-R
Nana nana nana nana, leader! I knew this was going to happen: the NSX-R is a giant killer, and has been in nearly every game I've encountered it in. It's hard to argue, since it has a delicious balance that just encourages you to push it harder each lap. That atmospheric V6's lack of torque means you're not sliding around, and it definitely pulls stronger than the horsepower rating suggests. So easy, so approachable, anybody should be able to post quick times in it.

2010 Maserati Gran Turismo S
I really didn't expect much from the GT. You can forgive a lot of things when a car looks this good, and I assumed it would take its name very seriously, not really interesting itself with this whole "lap times" thing. But it really makes a good fist of things here. It certainly doesn't feel as heavy as quoted, posting surprising cornering speeds. It might be because I just lapped it before, but this feels a lot like a bigger, front-engined NSX in its responses.

2014 Rolls-Royce Wraith
Evo X. Golf R. 22B. RS6. These are just some of the scalps the Wraith claims on its charge around Lime Rock. It feels perverse to be lapping a track in anger with the Spirit of Ecstasy proudly beaming in front of you, but the Wraith doesn't feel out of its depth. Sure, this is one of the worst tracks in the game to take it to, but it feels roughly one tonne lighter than its quoted weight. It has stupendous brakes, so distances aren't much longer than the other cars. Go laugh!

1995 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS F&F Edition
The fastest front-driver by some margin, the Spilner Special doesn't feel as unruly as you'd expect given the horsepower that needs to be tamed by the front. Sure, sharp stabs at the throttle will send you straight, but modulating it will do wonders for the cornering speeds. It's barely slower than the NSX through The Downhill!

00:58.388 - 2014 Alfa Romeo 4C - 240 HP - 2500 LBS - MR - 532 - SlipZtrEm - Controller
Just about pips the NSX, but yet I'd much rather drive the Honda. I love the look of this car, and I love the idea of it, but the engine and transmission are such letdowns. The engine is utterly dull, and the close-stacked gearbox leaves you constantly hunting for the right ratio for each turn. Sure, this being a modern turbo engine, the correct gear isn't quite as crucial as it would be in the NSX, but this ends up feeling clumsy when it should feel almost Elise-sharp. A shame.

Another 20!

The way you're going you're going to be done with every car soon enough.

I'm taking a new approach to DLC now where I can only choose to 'unlock' one car each day, it's really getting me more use out of the cars than when I would buy them all straight away and I suppose it will mentally shorten the gap to the next pack for me. I won't post the ones I've yet to take here until I've played with them all.

Also nice to see you've adopted the spoiler idea 👍, I just wanted to save some valuable seconds of scrolling time.

Ten more. I'm very impressed with how close the majority of the group is: outside of the Ferrari, Merc, and Maser, they're all within a half second, and the first five are all separated by less than 0.15 seconds!

2015 Audi TTS Coupé
This feels more like a sports car than any previous VW product, probably due to the aluminium in the chassis versus the Golf R. Sounds nice and throaty, too. Still feels a little nose-led compared to other cars, but is undoubtedly a more consistent car because of it. Sets the bar high for the previous-gen TT-RS.

2008 BMW M3
Oh, how I love this car. It was kicked by the media when it came out, as a car that was too soft and large compared to the E46. Sure, it's bigger and a bit heavier, but it sounds fantastic, and it feels it too. The M3 name does conjure up images of motorsport though, and I'll admit this isn't the absolute best track weapon. But it's the second-fastest of the group, dropping under the difficult 59 barrier, so I can't complain.

2011 BMW Z4 sDrive35is
I've always liked this car. Sure, it's not as pure as the Z4 M that came before, with that heavy folding hardtop, but the torquey turbo six should make up for that, right? Nope. It feels breathless after the soaring V8, and the E46, and doesn't sound special either. It feels softer up front, not biting in with any conviction. That seems to not matter much when it comes to lap times, as it ends up less than a tenth away from big brother. Odd.

2002 Nissan Skyline GT-R V-Spec II
Godzilla, like the Supra, is always remembered as a powerful brute, but taking a stock one around a track is an enlightening experience. It feels light compared to more modern cars, and completely planted. It can't challenge the NSX-R here, and is actually pipped by the TTS, but it's comfortably the fastest GT-R so far.

2007 Ford Shelby GT500
I expected this to be a mess. I thought it might even end up as one of the highest-PI cars to not make it under a minute. But I was wrong. It's barely faster than the Cobra R despite packing 115 more ponies, but it is carrying around, well, about a pony's worth of additional weight too. It grips, it doesn't require you to be paranoid about throttle modulation, and it obviously sounds good. The one issue is that all of the weight is on the nose, so turn-in is delayed behind a moment of hesitation. Brake a little early to compensate, and the Shelby will sail through.

1991 Ferrari 512 TR
I've avoided the 512 in all previous Forzas because, well, I've just never found it that interesting. I didn't know what to expect from it other than a wailing twelve-cylinder soundtrack. I got that, and the opening lap was a disappointment, with no grip from either end. By the third lap, however, the car was behaving beautifully, with strong brakes and a pointy front end getting it well into the 58's. It can even slide with confidence. Try it, you might like it.

2013 Mercedes-Benz A 45 AMG
Easily one of the worst cars I've driven. The horrendous understeer makes this feel like a car best suited to the class below. It's not a looker, and it sounds pedestrian. The brakes aren't good either. You'd think short gearing would make it feel fast, but instead, it just means the A-Class never has the right answer for you going into a turn. Avoid.

2014 Maserati Ghibli S
The Ghibli is slower than the hot mess up above, but it's far more enjoyable to lead around here. The brakes are the standout feature, as they haul the not-inconsiderable mass of the Maser up far quicker than anticipated. That's good, as that turbo V6 has the power to get you up to some serious speeds. A pleasant surprise, this one is.

1965 Shelby Cobra 427 S/C
A laugh. Those meaty tires give you a broad envelope to dance on, with the level of lurid powerslide limited only by your throttle application. Remembering that it shouldn't be treated as an on/off switch is essential, as the Cobra will take corners at a serious clip if you're going through on half throttle or less. Gets to absolutely silly speeds by the braking point on the main straight (which is earlier than almost every other car).

2012 Mercedes-Benz SLK 55 AMG
Fine enough, the SLK is always afflicted with middle-child syndrome in these games. The brakes aren't good, but the rest of it is a solid, if middling, experience. I expected more of it. That being said, it too is the last of its kind, as the new car drops the V8.

00:54.479 - 2005 TVR Sagaris - 483 HP - 2333 LBS - FR - 700 - ImaRobot - Controller

I'm starting to branch out from the Japanese market finally. Only reason being is that I've already built multiples of pretty much all of them, if not I own all of them  I've always loved how aggressive this car looks, and it handles extremely well, especially around high speed corners. It being light weight it can lose it's rear, but its easily manageable. The suspension is set up a bit stiff, but even so, it takes the curbs like a champ. It might turn into one of my most used.

Also, @Im_Lukas, that was a good time in that FNF Charger, I barely saw it last night as I was getting off. Totally didn't expect that car to be competitive.

I've got another batch of 10. Impressively, the Elise beat @ImaRobot's modified Silvia! :D

2009 Lexus IS F
What a surprise. Really liked it, even if it could feel a little ponderous with the ratios. It started off a group of ten that almost all had excellent sounds. It also proved barely slower than its newer semi-replacement, which was both encouraging and unsurprising. Oh, and a tie with the E92!

1999 Lotus Elise Series 1 Sport 190
Whoa. Make sure you get some heat into those tires. The Elise is a big fan of lift-off oversteer, so you'll need to be quick with very small, precise movements of the wheel for it to maintain speed around here. Braking into the first turn can get hairy quickly! I love the angry-beehive sound of the engine, and the sense of speed compared to all the other giants in this batch is unmatched.

2014 BMW M4 Coupe
This felt tidy. Much lighter than the E92, it also didn't slide around as much, which I didn't expect given the the 30% increased torque over that car. Despite feeling faster, it couldn't get finish better than mid-pack in this group. On the plus side, it doesn't sound like a diesel like the real car, though it hardly sounds fantastic compared to all the V8's, either.

2015 Lexus RC F
What a noise! The RC F looks like Predator from up front, which suddenly seems a lot more apt considering the monster under the hood. Despite being a fatty, it rocks up impressively close to the M4, though it's not as easy to drive quickly as either that or the IS F.

2010 Audi TT RS Coupé
Finally, a 4WD car that isn't slow! The TT pulls ahead of the M4 ever so slightly, thanks to quick acceleration from that drivetrain. The I5 is a peach, too. This car benefits more than most from taking an exaggerated slow-in/fast-out stance.

2006 Audi RS 4
Slower than the others in its class, even if only slightly, the RS 4 is still a fun drive. It feels safer, and in turn, more consistent than the comparatively wild E92. As ever, Audi's V8 sounds fantastic.

1955 Mercedes-Benz 300 SLR
I'm really beginning to fall for the old 50's cars. This was a blast, and as I never really drove it back in FM4, it's all new to me. It's so fast, all the time, and finds surprising grip considering the low weight, high power, and narrow tires. It also bleeds grip away beautifully, with the balance that only a front-engined, rear drive car can have, so you're never unaware of where you stand. Beautiful, and quick.

1995 Chevrolet Corvette ZR-1
In full-on 90's teal, the ZR-1 was a trip back in time. Not so when it came to the lap time though, as it ran quick enough for fourth in class, and the fastest FR in B so far. That Lotus V8 engine is a stormer, and it will fling the tail sideways if you stand on the throttle. But as with the other Vettes, and the Camaros, GM has provided a thorough base for quick times, with wide tires on an equally wide stance, with a long-ish wheelbase for a fair amount of stability. I didn't expect to enjoy this as much as I did.

2015 Jaguar XFR-S
What a porker! It's no surprise Jag moved to aluminium for the new XF, but the XFR-S does a decent job of masking the heft here. It also isn't nearly as wild as the extrovert paint, wing, and sound suggest. It certainly didn't feel like a challenge to herd all 550 horses into the same direction, and the lap time shows as much. Sure, it's essentially matching the much less powerful M4, but that car is nearly 1000lbs lighter! It will be interesting where the M5 and RS7 land...

2012 Bowler EXR S
Well now that's interesting. Despite packing essentially the same engine, and having less weight, than the XFR-S, the rally raid-oriented Bowler has only a slightly higher PI, and a much slower lap time. The problems, it seems, focus on the tires and suspension. The tires let go far too early, so you're left pogo-ing between under- and over-steer. The suspension takes a long time to settle, so you need to account for that as you're diving towards a curve. I had a bizarre moment on the main straight that saw the front lift at about 130mph. Slightly, of course, but a turn one way saw me unable to then turn back to correct. It was a little scary. But hey, at least it's under the minute mark!
