FAK
i tried those values on my clio setup and i was 3/4 tenth slower...

2.03.133 freerun,toe 0 0

Great time Fak, and thank for information, but with TOE to max your speed is better? Probably on Clio TOE To max make handling worst, but is important to know if the speed is better to understand if bug works also with this car.

Not sure how this is a bug? Isnt it just getting an awesome setup and driving it fast....

If its that the WRX is the fastest car out there this has always been a case... Take the GTR last round on Daytona.... Fastest car out there. Normally happens in online events that a car is around a second or so faster than the rest of the feild.....

The GT-R at Daytona was a DEFINITE bug/fluke, at least when the torque setting was set to 45/55. Having shorter 1-4th gears also amplified this affect when shifting to maximize wheel spin and forward acceleration. The car would magically accelerate faster if thrown into a powerdrift on the exit of a corner, allowing the tires to have a slight amount of slip. The acceleration when in this slide was probably something like .5 seconds quicker when looking at 50-100mph times, versus if you were to just accelerate in a straight line. :crazy: In reality nothing explains this, especially when considering the GT-R makes good torque down low. Hope I made sense...it's a bit hard to explain unless you've experienced it first hand.

As far as the 05/07 Sti's go, it makes absolutely no sense why the car should accelerate so much faster with such massive amounts of toe. Having that much toe in/out in REALITY would scrub a noticeable amount of speed in a straight line. It would not give you another magical 30hp or whatever people are gaining in straight line acceleration. With that much toe (-.50, +.50) it would probably take away roughly 5-10hp due to the tires frictional losses with the asphalt. That's just stupid for the game to have such a drastic flaw. :dunce:

IMO the tuning in this game should be as realistic as possible, and at this point it is not even close! :indiff: Also the tuning analysis data is totally lacking. How are we supposed to properly adjust camber without reading the tires cross section temperature? At this point it is just a matter of trial and error, while also being a bit of a guessing game. The powergraph is completely wack as well. There is no accuracy as to where the engine is actually making power in accordance to rpm. In reality all cars torque and hp curves cross at 5250rpm, that is if they rev that high. In this game you raise the power level of a car and the point in which hp/tourqe cross moves toward the redline of the car. This makes it quite tough to optimally gear your car to the engines powerband. We need to start up a thread that brings up such issues to PD. 👍

I get the same speed and worse handling.

Thank's Fak to make test for us; so CLIO V6 TUNED at Suzuka Do Not have the TOE bug.👍

If anything guys you should be testing it with other 4WD cars and why would this be limited to just this track.

Try a GTR on Fuji or Suzuka as an example with the same TOE settings as the bug is causing

Sorry Mr Latte, my english is no good so.... when you say "the bug is causing" you say that on Fuji and Suzuka with GTR, if you put TOE to max the car has better acceleration and better max speed?

Ok, is important to know that Teamgt do not think that some driver use these bugs to go faster...... is possible that with a particular set up someone see that the car go faster, but don't understand the reason..... personally i hope so;

And now the facts:

I ask to every of you that love GT serie to pass the next days not to race but to make prove with every cars in every circuit, because teamgt don't know if the problem is only in Suzuka circuit with Subaru 05 and 07 and Clio; we have to know how, when and where these bugs are active.

The bugs are two, one harder than other:

First ( more important)Point: if you put TOE to max value ( like -0,50 front and +0,50 rear), the result is an incredible accelation and an increse of speed, like when you are in slipstream of another car............... so you may put on R3 tire and have MOTOR like if yuo have R1 tire...... a real disaster;

Second Point: if you put the height to max possible ( es +5 and +10 in Suby), you note a better performance of the car, but real minor advange with regard first point.

This is all........... i thing is a good thing that someone open a new tread in the first page of forum GT5 Prologo, where post all result of tests, and when all of us know whats happen , someone who have the possibility to conctat PD send to them all and ask for a patch to resolve all of this............

PS: sorry for my no good english.

I did some testing.

Front straight of Suzuka from timing line to end of straight line. Online freerun.
This was strictley a straight line acceleration run from 0mph to 100+ mph.
How these setting might affect acceleration during cornering would, I think, depend on the driver and his style.
To try and eliminate human error I set the tranny to auto, TC to 5 and used r3's.
I used 4 awd cars. R8, Subaru 05, Subaru 07 and Nissan R35 07.
I took 3 runs on each setting to get an average.
Set tune to default for base run.
Set tune to toe -50 +50 slower by 100ths
Set tune to toe +50 -50 slower by 100ths
Set tune to Torque split 45/55 faster by approx. .5 mph and approx .5 seconds. The further from 45/55 split you get + or minus, the slower the time and speed.
I uncovered no power bug in the toe settings and it could be correct that a 45/55 torque split could give you better traction for acceleration.

I did the -.50 +.50 test with the WRX STI '07 3 times online and in free run. Had no improvement. Maybe it is not a bug in NTSC and only a PAL glitch.

I feel, guess that the bug may be associated to 4WD cars.
It would be more likely 4WD cars are effected with the WRX being 4WD than say the CLIO.

I only say Fuji too as it is unlikely the track is relevent to the bug, guessing.
If anything it may be PP related or 4WD related or just a freak isolated thing with the WRX 05 and 07

Try the WRX with differnt weight/power or is it really just a TOE /RIDE HEIGHT issue?

I did try the Subaru '07 again last night and I did feel the car was faster on the straight. I managed a 2'04.7xx which is about as fast as I was going without the TOE settings.

In the last week I got slower for some reason, only being able to do 2'05.9/2'06.xxx...but using these TOE settings I was able to run 2'04s again.

Now I don't know if my experience proves anything, because I managed 2'04 a week ago anyway using my own setup, and maybe this toe setting has just helped me get back to there. But 2'02? Not me.

Here was my setup basics:
Weight 85%
Tyres: R3/R2
Ride height -45/-45
Springs 5/5
Dampers 4/4
Toe -0.50/+0.50
Camber 2.0/1.5
Brake balance 6/6
Torque split 45/55

1st 3.131
2nd Def
3rd Def
4th Def
5th Def
6th -> 160mph

Final...can't remember, but I can post if anyone's interested.

To be honest, the only thing different between this and my setting from LAST week where I did 2'04 was the toe setting.

On R1/R1 the speed on the straight is quite monstrous though, I have to say.

EDIT: 2'03.967 - STi 07 - GTP_Synwraith (no slip)

I guess you can disregard the above post now huh?

All the best

I got a 1'53.130 (no draft) with the Integra at FUJI F in the FWD 550pp.

I cant get anywhere near those 1'50ish times people are doing.

Was done with the Dutch Customs tune and DFGT

New PB.

Suzuka PP650 Tuned Clio - 2'03.689 (R3,R3)

Changed the steering angle to 50 on the DC tune and gained a little more apex speed. I might give the Sti a try tommorow, with that special tune of course. :)

yesterday in the wrx 07 did a 2:03.900 in clean air.
Following Tizzlaaa today (both in WRX's) we did several 2:03.8's. i was being towed. Managed a respectable race time.

timeattack07gt: you do not want to drive that wrx, it isn't the car for you. trust me and stick to the Clio. Give a bloke a fighting chance, c'mon!! :crazy:

edited: just did a 2'03.635" in free run in the 07 WRX.

Synwraith:
in your setup i'd change:
-Ride height at MAX/MAX so i'll have more top speed (second BUG)
-Tyres R3/R3--> more grip

bye bye

Hi Silver,

Thanks mate 👍 I did actually try that last night before I saw this post thanks to what Nivola said and it helped me get to 2'03.

I can see this car going all the way down to 2'03.4 or .5 in my hands, almost did one laptime like that yesterday. Someone like timeattack could probably nail a 2'02 in it.

EDIT: I'll try again today with max front and rear ride height and maybe max steering angle to see if there's any more in it.

All the best

First of all, thank's to everybody to make test 👍

Now i make some test on straight of Fuji, start at the begin from 0Km/h to the max possible on this straight; T1 is line of start and T2(final) is the orrizont line at the very end of straight;
Actually i can say that 4 whell drive do not have TOE /RIDE HEIGHT bug, exception for Subaru 05 and 07; now i test GTR.

Test in progress, see you later

This is Final results;

I have tested FWD, RWD, MR ( like nsx)..... no TOE /RIDE HEIGHT bug for these cars.....👍

With regard AWD, all ok, the only cars that have TOE /RIDE HEIGHT bug are Subaru 05 and 07 ( Nissan GTR R35 do not have this bug).

The bugs in Subaru start only with Hard tuning ( es 85% weight and +60 CV ), with power and weight near standard the bugs are irrilevant.

The condition are:

Traction 45/55

TOE -0.50 F -0.50 R ( but the effects of bugs start from -0.040 +0.40)

RIDE HEIGHT from 0 to + value F and R

At straight of Fuji, start at the begin from 0Km/h to the max possible on this straight; T1 is line of start and T2(final) is the orrizontal line at the very end of straight

Suby 07( all set to standard )( 85% weight and +60 CV ), With all kind of torque setting, but with TOE 0.00 F and R and RIDE HEIGHT 0 0 :

T1 = 240 km/h
T2 = 270Km/h

Only with 45/55, TOE -0.50 +0.50 and RIDE HEIGHT 0 0 :

T1 = 254 Km/h
T2 = 290 Km/h

Only with 45/55, TOE -0.50 +0.50 and RIDE HEIGHT -45 -45 :

T1 = 241 Km/h
T2 = 272 Km/h

This is the same for Suby 05.......

Is there someone that may conctat PD to know them about these bugs? ok, is only for two cars and in particolar contitions, but for example( the Suzuka event 650pp is absoluty destroy from these bugs, because the fasted cars are subaru only for a bug......) i think that, if they know, PD may do a patch to solve everything in less time, so all return ok.👍

Look at Celima video in Suzuka for a real example.

Many thanks and great work.
This news though has hit me for 6 as i had already invested alot of time into setting up this car and now well im not going to race it online to be branded a cheat or indeed then have everyone assume im using the WRX because of its bug.

Shame but looks like this finishes the Suzuka track for me in the WRX

You can in no way be considered a cheat because you are using a legitimate car with a legitimate tune. It just so happens that this car is significantly faster than the competition with this tune. Weather is a 'bug' or not is of no consequence.
If you take this a step further you could consider the Clio a 'cheaters' car because that is significantly faster than the (other) competition, again, in the right hands with the right tune. Using that mindset, we'll all be driving stock cappachino's. :crazy:
If you don't use the WRX then someone else may likely do so, and I'd not brand them a cheat either. Its just exploiting the event rules.
And well done for setting the car up so well. 👍 I got demolished the first time we were in the same event. !
