1'41.861 - Fuji 650pp - M3 | GTP_Timppaq

I give up  I guess I'll have to settle for third on the time sheets :dunce: Awesome lap Timo 👍 I'm still wondering what it will take to beat holl01...if that's even humanely possible haha.

PP650 Fuji - Clio Tuned - 1'41.588

Unfortunately I made a mistake when trying to save the replay of this lap, as I had also clocked a .530 in the same run but had 4 wheels off at the last corner but was never penalized for it. When I went to go save my best lap time (OLR clean) it ended up saving the .530 lap...which I had not realized until I later fired up my PS3 to record some footage :ouch: :dunce:

Anyways, here's a vid of a 1'41.652 which is the best clean lap I have recorded. I think I can still manage to get down into the .4xx-.3xx with some more seat time and changes to the tune. I'll leave that time for now until someone decides to best it though. I'm not really a big fan of driving this car around Fuji...I enjoy the M3 a lot more. ;)

BTW, I apologize for the terrible video quality. I don't know why the video won't play in higher resolution. All of my other videos have the option of being played in High Quality, even though they are the same damn format and size. Gotta love youtube rrrrrr :grumpy: I'll try and get that worked out though. 👍

great time. 👍

i´m not the best hotlaper anymore, but i think if the hotlap doctors will try this combo we will see a 40,high.

Thanks Rudi 👍

Yea, I would also say a 40.xxx is within reach for a select few (Holl01, FAK, Timppaq). This car just gives me too hard of a time with the 6-axis especially at turns 1, 4 and 9 (last corner)...which of course happen to be the most important corners at Fuji. It's really tough to nail the turn in while trying to modulate the throttle to get a good exit with such limited precison and modulation. I always think the car is planted at the exit and it ends up getting a tad bit out of line...thanks to a millimeter too much steering input or throttle. It also doesn't help that this thing hates the rumble strips. It's frustrating because I know the line to take in order to achieve a high 40 or low 41...it's just that I'm always fighting with the damn 6-axis to keep the car on the ragged edge, on top of taking the right line, which is the easy part for me. :nervous:

That time was during a race which I posted a 17:23.871 while running by myself up front. Thanks to clacksman for coming up with an excellent tune. I don't think I can take this car much faster. Might be able to click off a tenth or two this weekend.

M3 Fuji 650
1'42.975

And I lost a number of tenths at a couple of corners. 2 weeks of racing this thing and I'm starting to find so much more speed.

Very nice Paulie, just wondering, was that lap with or without draft? Just comparing your time to mine because I set a 1'42.688 with draft.

Without draft in free run.:) Coincidentally though, I haven't done a faster lap with draft because I woke up this morning about 0.5sec faster on average.

You've wasted 2 weeks on the same car at the same circuit!?!?!?!?

Do you have Paulie:

a: A Job

or

b: A Life?

I find that that insane and mind numbing that you could sit for that long on one car at one circuit.

So it seems the M3 is THE car in the Fuji 650. I've been playing with a few cars and haven't done better than 1'46. Guess I'll have to give the M3 a whirl.

I have "A" a job.:P Many days of the week I don't play GT5 at all. Next excuse, GTP Race Event 02 is currently running and I've been practising and racing it the whole time to be ready, where I lost anyway.:P Third, in the first week of that I was also doing WRS 14.;)

F2007 Fuji 1000pp - 1'26.862 1'26.776 - GTP_mad94d

Done in the lead. No draft. Using default gears, and nearly default tune.
