Yeah sorry about that! What happened is that my phone suddenly rang right at the start, stupid delivery guy startled me... My immediate reflex was to hit pause, which of course had the wrong effect. Then I panicked, tried to unpause / mute / answer the phone... of course neither of those things worked, I hung up on the guy, breaked in front of both you guys, and ran straight into the grass. :scared:

Anyway... I don't have an F1 car yet but I'll join back for a couple races later!

 I knew there must have been a logical explanation!

Go get an F1 car man! They're insane online.

Slicecom, those were fun, especially the first race. When we touched on the final straight, and I started doing 360's. It was the funniest thing that happens to me in a long time. Good races. I'll have one of them posted on Youtube tonight.

lol I was wondering what happened to you at the end of that race! We were side by side and the next thing i knew I had won and it took you forever to get across the line.

This is some awesome racing there! Looks like there aren't as many arcade racers around anymore! I haven't played in a week, but this is way better than it used to!

Very cool racing between 2 modern BMWs and 2 old 512BB (but so much style... I hope you guys are wearing a hawaiian shirt and have grown a moustashe... :)

Earth! Were you taping that!? We finished within 1/1000th of a second of each other!

Taping has become too expensive, $3 batteries are dead after just a few days of taping, but it was a good finish

Apologizes to panjandrum, I think I nudged him a bit, my instincts told me to just stay in line but I had to go low and the car became very unstable and I moved up a bit I guess. Sorry

Lag was horrible. I was running 4th after Earth when his car lagged and punted me at the first turn. I just parked it after that.

My idea of putting 300 HP in an ultra light Mini was not so brilliant... Turns out the Mini is not really made for that! lol..

I think 600PP is the perfect number, practically any car in this game can compete. I felt a little weird in my Mini competing against an F40, but whatever, it's fun!

OK I'll do this last one to have a little taste of 750 PP and then I'm out for the day. Good racing tonight! Thanks guys!

I fell behind in my NSX because the snap oversteer kept catching me out. That thing is a handful with the lowest weight and max power! I tried bump drafting with the F40 to catch up but I think he thought I was trying to take him out, and decided to punt me off.

lol, that last 600pp Suzuka race had alot of hacks, I was drafting kinchimonkey in his white Honda Integra down the front stretch on the second lap, and I decided to fake a pass attempt well before the turn to try and make him nervous, so I darted to the right, and as soon as I did he darted to the right and slammed the brakes, but since it was a planned fake I was able to move back to the left before I hit him

Teh Loserer and Major milou were faster then me so I let them by, but rex 02 in his red Ferrari F430 seems to only know one way to pass. Use the chrome horn. He hit me maybe 5 times on the last lap.

MajorMilou I quit the 750pp HSR race, the leader in the yellow Corvette was wall surfing the last corner so I couldnt get close enough to draft him, and when I fell into the clutches of the hacks they ran me into the grass on the front stretch which spun me out and gave me a 4 second ramming penalty.

I wish I had recorded all this, great laughs

I tried a High Speed Ring 750PP race, and it's a blood bath! People riding walls, using your car to slow down, hitting you as much as they can...
Nothing to do with the clean and intelligent racing I had on the same track an hour ago with BMWs and Ferrari 512BB. That was awesome and could be called racing!

I saw both those things! haha.. It's really too bad we can't have one night with only good racing, although tonight was much better than a week ago. I guess that will be solved whenever we can organize our own races!

Anyway, I'm out! have fun guys, thanks for some good fun racing! Later!

I was wondering, since I am still newer to this site. Has anyone every proposed we get a live chat for this kind of thing? I think it would be useful for the online races, especially since we can't talk to each other. Other than here.

Absolutely no problem. All part of the game (I'm sure I'll be doing that on occasion as well... I have plenty of off moments in racing...) The 512 is just plain unforgiving. In most cars a tiny nudge like that wouldn't be a problem. Then again, to me, that is the key to this game's fun - the feeling that you are really driving a certain model of car.

Plus, I think we had three very good races there. The first one was of course the best! You spun her out but came all the way back and we finished GTP top three spots. You can't do much better than that.

Where were you guys on HSR 750pp and 11:00? It was a freaking zoo. I've got some video of that as well. Some of the worst punting I've seen yet.

I generally don't do the fake courses, but sometimes I do HSR in the F1 car. I miss Daytona Road dearly.

the 600pp races are boring, 750 pp suzuka is where its at

You are definitly quick on that track! Did you quit after you went into the sand on the second lap? We were 1 and 2, and it looked like you just carried too much speed into the first corner. I was really looking forward to that battle, as we didn't have alot of traffic right behind us.

Can't remember if it was you, or Patricq, but I know I sent one of you off at Degner curve. Wasn't expecting you to brake that soon. :ouch:

I'm at 600PP Suzuka, come here, I have a Skyline Concept Coupe tuned, good match with your Sedan Skyline. :)

Hey cuda_duda, learn to use those brakes...

EDIT : 3 races now and yet to get a clean one with mostly GTP members, weird.
EDIT2: seriously cuda, what the hell? Drama-kyd looses it, I brake to avoid, you slam into me, take the position, you don't even wait, and next corner coming up to the hairpin you push me into the grass?

first on definitly my fault. the second one, i was slammed from behind then the gtr hit me on the side. it was a crowded space.

An afternoon of racing, no clean races.

Exorcet, what an ass. I do a pass on corner 1 on Drama-kyd on the inside, and that guy tries the inside on me, bumps me, race over.

Great, really great.

yea the races this afternoon retarded, not one single good race yet.

hey drama-kyd, good racing with you last night. i think we exchanged some paint at a couple of times, but nothing too bad on either side, cheers.

Dont like to disagree with a fellow member but i thouhgt Exocet was ok. Fast and a hard driver but nothing unsportsmanlike.

I also want to go back to the comments you (div) made earlier that i didnt fully respond to.
I take my GTP_ name seriously. I try to race faily with everyone, GTP members or not. I dont intentionally ram, block, spin, or anything else untorward. I'm not perfect, I make mistakes, but dont want hem sent around the board to look like I'm a poor racer.
I take my reputation on GT seriously and moreso when racing with My GTP_ racer tag.
I have no bad feelings towards you, I know you were getting punted around pretty hard today and frustration can get the better of anyone. I just wanted to make it clear what I saw was happoning today.
Dramakyd, always a pleasure racing with you, your a class guy on the track.

thanks for reading my rant.

Look at what we are doing to ourselves. We may need to be a bit more understanding about the level of driving skill that any GTP member has. We just are not all at the same level and some bad things just might happen.

There should be some self control from the intermediate drivers recognizing that maybe some more 500pp and 600pp races need to be ran before we jump in there with the big dogs. A GTP_ member doesn’t HAVE to be fast on the track, but please…if you’re going to get in a 750pp race then just hang back and observe weather you should be pushing to be up front in the pack. A GTP_ tag should only mean that you understand when to pass and when to be passed. Hopefully you can see that you should just move aside for others, but then continue to have fun with your race.

Let’s not get to the point that all we use this site for is to tattle on a member for an accidental bump. Find your group of GTP_ racers that you belong with and lets all get back to having fun with this game. It’s nice to see GTP tags up in the top three but with all the traffic, some days it’s just not going to happen. If you get bumped, relax and get back out there and enjoy the rest of the race.

I ran 2 races with Exorcet today and had no problem, he even slowed down when he accidentally gave me a slight rub that I couldn't save when we were fighting for the lead on the last lap at Suzuka.

We even ran side by side all the way through Turn 1 and 2 at Suzuka, me on the inside, him on the outside.

I think a big part of the problem stems from some racers being too ambitious. People have different racing lines/driving styles/braking points/different cars and approach corners differently that others. Overtaking should only be done when you are convinced that there will be little to no contact.

Personally, if the driver in front of me is slower, i try to give them as much space as possible until its safe to pass, but this allows the faster drivers behind me catch up. Then you'll have a whole pack of drivers clumped up together, some good and some bad, with the bad ones carelessly gunnin for the front and that is when all hell brakes loose. So if you're GTP racer racing 750pp cars set a pace for yourself and try to keep that pace, dont be too ambitious, dont try to run up front with the big boys when you know you're slower than them, all you will do is cause havoc.

yea he's not a bad driver, just a bit aggressive at times.

I personally view a GTP tag as a privilege, when I see members on the track with them I'm confident I can push hard without getting knocked around. Unfortunately this is not always the case, sometimes it is accidental, like cuda_man, which is fully understandable, sometimes it is not. I expect GTP members, even if the contact is accident, which it usually is, to atleast slow down and wait for us to get out of the sand. What's the point of winning every races, there is no stats, we're all full of money, bla bla bla?

Racing was simply outrageous today, as for Exorcet, sure he is usualy an O.K. driver but trying to outbrake me while I'm already outbraking drama-kyd, a class act btw, is somewhat stunning.

Well with some of us getting home from work, more of us will be on, and more racer's to race clean with.

I agree 100% with the GTP Tag statement. When me and Earth race the F1 @ Fuji, we are ALWAYS racing neck to neck, well almost always =p and when one of us DOES rub the other or make contact and they go off the track, we wait up for each other. Heck on HSR the other day their was Me, and Earth and one other guy who couldnt control his car to save the world, and he would wreck us whenever he could. HE took us out several time's. Me and Earth were like 15 sec's behind him, and when Earth spun out on his own, on Lap 3 (out of 5), i waited up for him even tho i didnt have anything to do with his spin. Why you ask? Because i would rather have a great race with a fellow member, ya it was only 2 more laps, but it was better then catching up to the Wrecker and having him take me out again. I chose to have a last lap battle with Earth which was awesome. Its not always about the win, its about having fun with your buddy's/GTP Team-mates.

See YOU tonight @ Fuji in the F1 :D
