I haven't really raced much at all at Fuji yet, but 1'40 flat seems OK. Could also aim for high 1'30s, I haven't tested many cars to see which are faster yet.;)

High 1'30s will give you 1st. 1'40s will give a podium for sure or even fourth. As long as you survive to first corner your OK.

Yesterday I found about 10 drifters online. 6 from Team-mixi on youtube...
 
OK, it's absolute n00b's ville on HSR right now. They seem to have figured out they can punt you and not get a penalty.:grumpy: How damn simple could it be, if you touch another car with the nose of your car, you should get a penalty, if the rear of your car touches another car you don't. That's what they did in GT4.:grumpy:

Yep, that was good racing on the Oval, thanks. 1,2,3 all GTP-ers with a 5 second lead on the rest of the field. 👍
Tomorrow I will try racing at the same time, nice to see some new fellow GTP-ers from the other side of the Globe.

Excellent bump drafting with GTP_rexc. That's how we hauled the big gap back :sly:

On the subject of bump-drafting; I psn'd rexc to ask if he was OK with it. If it's done properly between two consenting racers, it really adds another dimension to the race and is particularly effective in these 600PP races.

I know that views are divided on this subject, but it is a bona fide technique used widely in all oval racing except for open wheel classes. It's all about partnerships, and not necessarily between team mates.

I guess a problem may arise if someone tried to bump-draft a driver who is uncomfortable with the technique. In the absence of any other form of communication, maybe a flash of the brake lights could signal the driver behind to back off?
 
Just tried the 750pp FUIJ, bump fest in the first corner :(

Also nice that a Apple update screen popped up infront of the TV Tuner program so was driving blind at one point in the race...

That will not work, also happens when you are on the inside someone closes you unnessercy... or on a straight switching lines 24/7, every system will have its faults :grumpy: private rooms ftw

There are some ones who insist on driving into you as you pass, or even worse as they pass, but it is fun to beat them in the integra.

Lol honestly beating vette's and 430's in an Integra is one of the most fun things I have done in ages!

Thats why I dropped a few pp points, the TypeR is fast enough once its up to speed, but takes a bit to get there!

EDIT: Will try the BMW M3 after this race, now change gear ratio's *prays for no disaster*

The bump was a big help, if we can get away a bit we can pull away easily.

The M3 seems to be a good car round here having some good battles with them.

I know, it was actually my own fault, the 6th gear was shorter, and that extra bump got me in the red zone and thats why i spung, i thought i made the gears longer as it said 330 km/h besides it but it stopped at 300km/h. Gonna get in M3 now, and gonna get a drink so 13.10 (forumtime) im back in an M3 !

Kudos for comming back haha, still had some fun racing, although its impossible to look left and right when being invisible :S
 
I wish I could race with some of you but I can't get my PAL copy to update so I'm stuck slumming it with my NTSC copy. Doesn't much matter though as none of the races appeal to me much and I'll be spending most of my time hot lapping (especially Mr. P's Eiger event) until they change the events again. I'll see you all when I see you.
 
Bennant, I finally had success with the PAL update, I did it in the middle of the night. It seemed to work better when internet traffic was lighter.

I tried about 45 times between 1-4am EST last night and again when I woke up this morning. The best I got was about 50% (the little bar) and I got the error. I have noticed today that at lest it's connecting to download, the bar moves a tiny bit every time, it just doesn't give an error like before.

This is an excuse to finish off my NTSC game-save and pad the credits a bit, I've neglected the NTSC version for months (I need to start/finish the S events). I've been doing the GTR/f430/Corvette event a bit to pad my credits. HSR is mind numbing as a track, as are my fellow American racers. Winning by 6+ seconds almost every time in any of the three cars, even when starting last, gets old fast. But padding the credits 50cr ever 6mins will get it full fast.

As I said I'll be hot lapping for he most part until the next update. Working on pp600 setups around suzuka and doing Mr. P's Eiger OLR.

i dont know if it's just you US...but quite a few of us GB's got it first go...i did mine at 2300-0000 i think so thats GMT....it might be worth you guys trying it at the equiv time in EST

Where is everybody? My update was going fine up to around 30% now it keeps stopping with the download failed message. But when it restarts it's real quick getting to 50% so it must be almost done!
