Hey JamboGT, I didn't realize you were a fellow GTP'er !!! :dopey:

I've been driving Ferrari Challenge these last few weeks so I'm a litle rusty on my driving, sorry for any inconvenience. I'd like to say thanks to all the guys I met and raced tonight, I had a few nice battles with mr geez, JamboGT, CWR, Timpaq. Very close racing and always very clean. Thanks guys! 👍
 
No problem mate, have been around a while! Even in GT4 days! Found the site when looking for mission 34 info! lol I apologise for my talent getting less as the night wore on! Watchin some gttv now lol, race again sometime soon!

And also once FC is fixed we can have a go there too!

Great racing tonight. I will certainly come here again. It was clean for the most part..Its nice to beat on the PAL GTP elite once in a while.. lol

I took PAL out, put NTSC back in.. Sorry, maybe tomorrow!

And yes you are crazy, I was not in your race! ahaha :dopey:
 
thanks guys for some really close and good racing..sorry if I bumped anyone but there was so much action around my car sometimes that it was hard to stay focused ;-)

W00t, I just did a 6'11.558 in a 1-on-1 against an F430 driver. The race was intense too, he sat on my tail the entire way, giving me space when it was necessary (i.e. backing out of overtakes into the high speed turn 1). It was a great race, and then I messed up just that little bit trying to give him a bit of room on the last corner (we had very different lines there which made it all the more interesting), and he beat me by 0.1sec. His name was a1PAPAOSA if you know him.
 
i also raced him 1 on 1 now haha, very close, bump me, he was late braker, when he finally got first place he spun out, but for some reason he did not overtake even with the slipstream, only when i went wide, 2 corners later big smoke cloud haha. good race though

Yeah, he had a unique driving style of late brakes and early apex but it certainly worked for him. If he bumped you it was a mistake, he didn't overtake in slipstream, because like us he knew that overtaking on a high speed corner (Turn 1) is rather dangerous. We punched out low 1'13s every lap. He messaged me, I told him to join here so we'll see.

PS- Everyone makes mistakes.

Same result, beat me by a tenth, and i was in the Z06, started 4th and made time up on him through the first lap and a half.......... then followed by 3 and a half laps of nose to tail stuff. Ran a 6'20 or so wih a few mistakes from both of us.

Great driving all round.

Admittedly, on the first lap I messed up early on, and he was waiting for me at the esses, then on the last turn he got sideways and hit the wall, so I waited for him. That might have been a different race to the 6'11 close one though, I think there was a GT-R in this one (which gave up pretty early). I had a couple good races with him, and at least that's one extra guy online I know won't purposely hit me.:)
 
What time is the next race? im new to the GTP forums so may need a lil guidence on how to connect to the races, my timezone is GMT london so if anyone can give me info it'd be much appreciate.

Well you can join races at anytime, but if you want to be in same races as other GTP members its good to take the cue time here

xx.10 being at ten over the current hour ;)

most time its every 10 minutes sharp.

Im not racing a.t.m. maybe later today ;) have fun with GT5p ;)
 
WOW i have just tried the Blitz Skyline and that car sounds GOOD!!!, you ALL have to try it. the turbo spool up/wastegate is FIERCE

i can drive it for hours.
 
F1KimiFreak, mr_geez, slicecom to name afew. Some good racing on HSR. Didnt think id see good racing this update / on this track but been pretty good. Punters also seem to be getting fewer by the race too.

yeah, that last corner 👍 i dont get there are so few races, but the hsr race is very nice. Gonna come online after eurosport world rally coverage

That was one hell of a race, love the corvette, not fast but so intense :) Lots of chaos is the 2nd corner constantly. back at x.40

Same here, sorry about some of the taps and bumps weve had, great racing 👍
Just a shame about the punters getting in our way.

Yeah quite some punters, but its doable :)

No problemos about the bumps, corvette is easy car to lose control (talking from experience haha) :scared::crazy: we try are best thats what is important!

the entrance to the last corner i cant get good in the corvette :nervous:

note: kylie minogue on itunes does not help either when trying to race :odd::embarrassed:

You're just not driving it right.:P At first drive, all the cars run the same lap times, so it's more or less down to the drivers which is faster.:)

Each has its' advantages though, the GTR has cornering advantage, the Z06 a straight line advantage, and the F430 a balance of the 2.:)
 
With evenly matched players, there's litle or nothing a GTR can do. I've been using this car for most of my GT5P experience and in this event, after being overtaken by a Ferrari, I sure can keep in their tail thanks to slipstreaming, and I can even add some pressure in the corners, but ... there's no way I can keep a well driven Ferrari behind me. The best I can get (against a player like mr geez, as an example) is to finish second, less than a second behind first (6.11 being my best time so far).

Not sure about the Corvette, haven't tried it and so far I haven't met many Corvettes.
 
I've been owning in my Corvette, never had a race where 1st place was faster than me through the splits.:) Just got to get through the traffic, or start closer than 12th (an 11sec deficit). I'll be back in 1hr after Top Gear, until then, ciao.👍

I have been a number of times. Mainly the races with only 7 or so people in, I can catch the leader in time then, just ask Sjaak who saw me do it earlier.;) But when you have to do an average of 2.2sec faster per lap whilst weaving through traffic to get to first place, it is rather difficult.:P But I don't mind, it's kind of fun monstering over half the field with 7.0L of America's finest, especially considering I'm racing Italy's and Japan's finest.💡 I'd lose if we were at Suzuka though.:crazy: I've never had anything against HSR, and it's good we can finally race there with out as many n00bs, and even better that with the new physics the Corvette is as fast as it was meant to be in the first place.
