Okay, I see that the majority of you likes and puts the race mods on your cars, but what are your opinions about the race mods, does it or does it not, help the cars handling ability?
I know my opinion on this matter, but I would like to hear from you guys that likes the looks of the race mods and thinks that it is worth the cost of credits?

In practical terms you have only advantages - you lose the extra weight and have the aero parts to mess with wich can be left alone for that matter. No I rarely mess with the aero parts except for cars that require it to stay in the ground

Hey bla,

I thank you for your reply.;) I can certainly relate to your comment. But, if you don't adjust the cars settings, I would sure like to know what kind of lap times you get on certain tracks?:D I had the game for along time before I started learning about adjusting the cars for a better performance. In my opinion, I turn better times since I learn more about adjusting the car settings.;)

I adjust the cars settings I just don´t play with the aero settings much unless the car really needs to like an elise gt1. That car definitly needs a lot of downforce to stick to the road. In other cars I start with gears and stifenning the suspension and usually remove the lsd or simply don´t equip it. Them some test drive and more adjustments wich usually if there is no instability doesn´t involve aerodinamics. I think I mess with it more in the test track where cars get to be more unstable

By the way why doesn´t my quote come with "originaly posted by X" ?

I screw around a lot with settings, becuz im obsessed with making the best out of every car. I think the race mod has only one function: make the car look very good or look very ugly, and adding the aero feature.

I think it depends on the car, totally. there are some cars, for example the Toyota altezza tuned by toms verson that i think looks nasty with RM, but the regular altezza looks sweet.

If your doing mostley 2p battles it's a must.
The chang in aerodynamics and the weight reductions has a big impact on the car.

If I don't race mod my cars and my friend does there is little chance I catch up with him.

Besides I got 5 Cards for GT2. 3 Normal onces with fully modded cars, 1 with cars in factory state, 1 with only rally tuned cars.

I agree, a lot of the mods are ugly. The S13 SIlvia is the worst in that black and blue one. What does the Intrepid actually look like,'cos evry1 here is going on about it.
PS-Most used Hondas are plain nasty in that 3-color Honda Livery-they look like Jelly TotS! :

even though this is 3 months old i think the 30th anniversary camaro has a cool race mod making it look like a funny car drag racer

Nothing wrong with Jelly-Tots ;).
The Intrepid is painted white ( with pink pinstripes :yuck: ) and lowered, has an enormous high-rise intake manifold coming out of the hood, and a formula wing on it. It's supposed to look like a Pro-Stock Drag Car.

i have a favorite mod now, the orange 91' supra. when that is dont it bears a close resemblence to drifter x's 180 sx :D

plus i've dont my best drifting in it :)

ma70 doesnt pop into mind, the best i can describe it right now is it is orange, says toyota down the side, i may go and play in a bit, i'll try to get better details.

ah here we go, our very own gtplanet came through.

your car, the Supra GT Turbo Limited (MA70) '89 , is 89, the car i'm refering to is this one, Supra TwinTurbo-R (JZA70) '91 . I'm still working on a picture for it.

the 1998 legacy sedan's is cool-white with balck and pink stripes and pink Sti logos :yuck:
