Optimal Logitech g923 wheel settings compilation thread

How is the transition going?
Pretty well as I’m definitely faster with it now, I found the difference is in my confidence with carrying more mid corner speed.

Understanding the points where I can feel understeer and oversteer by the type of vibration through my fingers took me a few days.
Settings are Vibration at 65, FFB Max torque at 5 and FFB sensitivity at 10.
I find the wheel is a bit small in diameter, depending on how often I’ll use it in the future I might modify this.
But this might reduce torque apparently? Well I think there’s plenty there already for what you need for this game and iRacing.

But the biggest “issue” I have are the pedals. They work fine but they’re not great. I’ve got some springs and a yellow insert thing on its way to try, while later on the line I might get the axc sim truebrake mod.

When I had my G923, I found Torque 3 or 4, sensitivty 1 or 2, vibration as 35 but that was before the update.

Also of you find your wheel making that ratcheting sound, I found a fix for it. Search o ring fix. Made it quieter, took out some slop or axial play in the wheel, felt better than the day I unpacked it out of the box.

I think higher torque settings just felt unnatural, I wouldn’t go above 5 personally. It’s not supposed to clip but for some reason the higher I went, I couldn’t feel the car kick out during corners, I found 3 was where I could feel that best.

Now with thrustmaster affordable direct drive wheel coming out, I wonder what kind of price the G923 is going to drop to or if Logitech has a budget direct drive wheel in the works? My main disappointment with my G923 was the ratcheting sound, nothing wrong with the rest of the wheel it feels nice and has good button layout. They should turn it into a budget direct drive or simply redo their design to eliminate the ratcheting sound. Rattle. Whatever you want to call it.

Did your O ring fix tonight, it feels like a completely different wheel!

It boggles mind that there is that much play in the gear attached to the motors from the factory.

I’m running 45 vibration, 4 torque and 8 FFB sensitivity, so far feels pretty good like this with gr.3.

Good to hear. Yeah mine could still move so I figured not stressing things, if anything it’s less stress because it softens the movement. That ratcheting sound I them knocking away. Poor design. Might still get the rattling on a rally track but who knows. It tightened up the wheel too for me. Like if you pushed the top and pulled on the bottom, it had play from factory, after o rings, very very minimal if at all.

Glad I could help.
