Bonnet/roof view for me :). I really enjoy cockpit view for fun online/offline racing but for these Serie's that I've entered it just allows me to see the corners of the car better for clean battling and passing... and fall off the road less on blindside apexes . I just can't do Normal view, it's sits way too low for my liking and exaggerates the camera with the suspension movement, a little off putting lol.

I used chase cam for 15 years. But I use bumper cam since July (when I get my wheel). I tested chase cam with the wheel but, even if I drove with this view on all GT, it was just impossible for me with the wheel.

What did you find hard about using the chase cam with a wheel? Just wondering since that's what I use.

I'm not sure I can explain correctly. But it definitely seems not real when I use the chase cam with the wheel (to see the entire car and have the wheel in my hands looks completely not natural in my brain, so maybe I have some some problems of perception lol) and I don't know if my angle steering is correct with this view. Also, I have more difficulties to find my braking points and to hit the apex. All these things were very easy to do with the DS3 so I don't understand why it's so difficult with the wheel.

I have a question about a hypothetical scenario.

2 drivers don't get their 1st or 2nd choice car, both driving different cars.
Both drivers like/prefer the other driver's car more than the one they currently have.

Can they swap cars, or are they "locked in" as soon as the allocation is posted?

I don't believe it is possible to even prefer another persons car or the opposite way around
Car choice is based on grading so if someone higher grades then you has let's say the BMW then they will be more happy with that they have been given then the car you have been given because they will get the first car choice on their list that is still available

Does this make sense?

I see no objection to this. If it happens, just deal in private with the other driver. Then, once you both are OK, you can announce here that you switch car, we'll update our boards accordingly. However, you can't do this once the season has started, it must be done before january 25th.

Just finished testing all the cars at Grand Valley. Good job organisers, the cars are pretty equal timewise with some exceptions. I don't understand why remove the Lexus and put a NSX which is a nightmare to drive consistently fast. Anyway, we will see if I get to drive the Nissan aka the "Whale"

NSX needs a good tune and its a great car.

Well, by the looks of things, I'm going to have to pull out. I wasn't able to find a time to get graded. Have a great season everyone and I'll hopefully see you next season.

Hi everyone! I'm curious about something... What type of camera you normally use to race? Normal, Roof, Exterior or Cockpit?
For my part, it's the Normal view with a Logitech Driving Force Pro that I've been using since GT4 mounted on a older model Fanatec Wheelstand that has the knobs at not just the base to keep the wheel upright but a knob to keep the wheel at a select height as well.

Just realized the Car Selection deadline was approaching and I haven't made my choices yet! I have submitted my selections though so no more pressure for the time being. :embarrassed:

Try re-submitting them I don't think they went through

I've seen a lot of series screw over fast drivers with reg changes mid season because there "too" fast.
It's not screwing over fast drivers. It's making an even playing field for everyone. Balance of performance every race series does this except for single make series. Indycar, Le Mans, GT3, Touring, etc.

We would only change specs mid season if we have considerable data regarding the car in question (i.e all 4 drivers who has the car has witnessed considerable success)
example: In S2, the two top cars were the Audi and the BMW, however, they only had edges in a single division while the other was fairly average, so we did not attempt to adjust the specs.

Maybe I should rephrase this. I understand if 1 car is clearly faster then it should be balanced. But just because one person is faster than everyone doesn't necessarily mean that person's car is over reged.

perhaps you should test again?
