Sorry to crelou, berb and seb for my aggression in the final 15 minutes, on my screen Berb + Seb were about to be lapped so I was angry you weren't moving over and letting me and Crelou through.

Yes, I will totally understand fait.Moi too was upset because Berbatov kept me moving, lock me in turns and without changing trajectory stops that I did not take his aspiration (I think it's forbidden? ??) Thank you for your apology.

What a bad race for me! Thought I'll be in the top 3 after I felt really good at Suzuka and than that (I didn't count it but maybe 13 spuns ? :banghead::lol:)

Sorry for the hits guys I lost the concentration at some points.
Sorry for the collision at the end of the first racing lap. I wanted to be sure I would get the car through the Hitachi Triangle in as quickly as possible.

Race: A little messy rolling start but it eventually went on. From the start of the race til the middle I had screen tears, until the entire screen went out on me for a second, thankfully I didn't mess up and the tears stopped. I battled with a few drivers for 3rd position for a majority of the race. About 35 minutes form the end, A lapped driver spun out in front of me, I had already chosen the line ot pass by him when, all of a sudden, he spun back forward and veered on my line, Somehow, I dodged him with no damage and continued on.
Haven't had a look at the replay yet, so apologies if it was me that was the person who spun out. I also need to apologise to @Pubs16 for damaging him at the start of the race on the formation lap. I forgot we had a rolling start in use.:dunce:

These things happen, I thought I had it calculated right but even with my buffer I was 1 Litre short. I must have burned slightly more fuel in my second stint.

P3 is still a good result for me, but having been in P2 for 80 of the 90 minutes overall to lose it by half a tenth was not a good feeling.

Congrats on the win by the way; I figured I'd try and one-stop but even with your extra pitstop you were quicker overall.
Thanks, yeah I was kept on my toes by your pace as I was wondering if you might single stop :) But I figured that the RMs were going to be much quicker so either way I would have been competitive.

Fuel wise I never thought a 1/10th gauge made much difference to laptimes, so always been conservative during stops. Consolation maybe by the fact that even the best @RacingLine messes up sometimes ;)

It wasn't you.

I have done a lot of mistakes and spuns this race but i am happy to be 10th because i really dont like Suzuka its one of the tracks i am worse! Good race everyone!

My race went now better than Laguna. No big mistake this time and got some lucky when CodDemon and 5zigen run out of fuel at the end.
My stints were:
-RH ->8 lap (17 min)
-RM ->lap 22 (45 min)
-RM 3rd stop at lap 32 (1h05min)

First of all congrats to @yuc2002, @Brutaka and @PJTierney for the AM podium! :). What a great race, the start was nice and clean (up the front anyway, didn't see too far back what was going on), everybody played nicely (@CAMikaze you're all good mate, luckily I'm allowed to put ;) remember all Enduros (including 1hr) are rolling starts.
It just sucks its all over so fast after waiting a whole week for the next race, especially our first official endurance for the season. But hey moving forward to Nurburg! :D.

Suzuka Circuit 2014_1.jpg

Qualifying: Didn't manage to get into the 2:00's in my couple laps. 2:01.711 by my 2nd lap. Wasn't too worried, just didn't want to be stuck too far back for the start.

8th

Endurance: Had a pretty good start I think, still getting a hang of rolling starts. Had a great little battle with @Brutaka nipping at my heels giving some pressure, made a slight unintentional block going into Hitachi Triangle so let him pass. @James Cooper started to join in after that had a nice little 3 way battle during the start of first stint. I managed to get back past Brutaka out of the hairpin getting a bit of a gap while I waited out my tyres grip. By the end of the first stint I was slightly gaining on @PJTierney with clean laps but my front grip was well low and couldn't hold consistency anymore, @yuc2002 catching me fast just as I decide to pit with 50mins to go. Not sure what strategy everyone would go for, was clear PJ was aiming for 1 so I went with RH's with a chance to pit for RM in a fresh run if everyone did two stops.
Rejoined 7th behind @BAZZER just as he pits next lap. Preceded to put my head down and try gain some time on the lead pack with fresher tyres. Saw @SSJGZWarrior DC due to power out apparently, that sucks big time man, was running behind me with good time I think. Started gaining time on @RodeRuner1967 and @Brutaka as their tyres started dying off and then they pitted. Unfortunately after choosing to stay out for a couple more laps and over an hour of racing I made my first big mistake :( clipping the exit kerb and grass at T15 kink, spinning but thankfully not hitting a wall and no cars were coming.
Decided to press on with 28mins to go and some grip left, I jumped Ram in the pits also. Quickly tyres died after and Brutaka caught me, with @Ramalhinho91 straight out of the pits coming down on me too. I was mega slow through the esses as he caught me, staying a little wide too to grip anyway was letting him through at turn 7 but he came in too hot and hopped the kerb, getting into my left side. I hit the grass slightly and instantly spun. Thank go @RodeRuner1967 didnt clean me up.
Pitted for RM's with 17mins to go, knew it just wasn't enough to try catch back upto 4/5th, rejoined 7th and try to get over @BAZZER who was a little ways up the road. Managed to sneak past after a couple mistakes by him with over 10mins to go. Knuckled down to try catch 4th and 5th but 22-28secs short by the end. :(.

6th

Almost made a mistake free run finally. That podium is so close I can taste it! I just need to work on my strategies better, first fuel intake probably hindered me a little, was left with plenty. Couple spins, luckily no damage so could press on but can't help but think that those two spins by myself and a little trip up with my team-mate unfortunately was the 30seconds that I lost to the lead pack.
Damn that's dissappointing but 6th is a good bag of points and managed to gain on my competitors to their unfortunate dc's or race so can move forward to Nurburgring now with the first Enduro Cup race done did :).

P.s. Just about to watch the PRO race finally, gf had the morning off so got kicked off the tv lol. Finally alone now :P.

I was running a good strategy for the race was catching you and the others hitting mid 1:59s. Made up a lot of time in the pits pitting at the right time will give you an advantage anywhere. I was excited and was hoping to start battling with you and Brutaka. Then the breaker went out in my place for 5 minutes. -_- I was extremely frustrated when that happen.

Yeah man I could see you coming on the map lol, I was getting ready to defend myself but then dc :( such a shame man, I really feel for you. I could imagine how frustrating it would be.

I think next time I might pit when others start to lol, at least I'll be on par with them, I think maybe a couple laps too long pushing was my downfall. Just hitting that big drop off in grip tripping me up too much at the end of the stint. All I knew was that RH's didn't last too long in my Nissan so I wanted to make sure I had a shorter last stint for RM's lol.

I was enjoying the race, sure I went wide into turn one but an hour and half race anything can happen was breaking into the top five close to the half way point it was going good for me. Seeing you and Brutaka in front of me was a good view point to start chasing you guys. Long endurance races are my specialty and to not finish one really hurts me but my bad luck at Suzuka continues I guess.

The drop off point for most cars is around 7-8 or 6-7 on tire wear. After that you car's pace begins to slow down. A race with this distance is good for a two stopper. Even a three stopper would be good. Pitting in after the first green lap to get RM. Which is what I did last season at both Spa and Nords. Finished 2nd in both races. My strategy was to run a two stopper which would have worked. I was on pace and where I was behind Ram on the last pit stop rotation if I continued to gain I could be in the top three and maybe a shot at the overall if I was close enough. I really wanted to battle with you, brutaka, T-n-T, PJ, and Ram.

Well, great racing guys! In the last part I was leading the party train in the last part of the race. Had a battle with 3 french drivers: @crelou @TWR_Kris34 and @FLEURY. I had to tyres left and fought for my life there.
I apologize if I have overly aggressive but I haven't changed trajectory during braking or waving, just defending tightly. @crelou , very unfortunate at last chicane, thanks for trying to let me pass you again but turned out I was right behind you so I started pushing you instead and then I got massively bumped by @TWR_Kris34 .

To sum up, I had fun but the pace and the points are not satisfactory.

Not the greatest race from me. Qualified 2nd which was obviously a good start. I had pace to keep up at the top but dropped it at the start of lap 2 resulting in a bust suspension and major engine damage. Managed to get round and pit for meds and started to push on.

Was making to many little mistakes trying to make time up, reckon I could of got back upto 4th quite easy but wasn't to be. 7th it was, considering the start, not to bad.

Despite the finish, I had a good race and picked up my 5th GTPlanet podium in 23 races.

Pre-Race:
I did my usual thing of not driving the car until an hour before the race, but was able to get the car set up fairly quickly. I made a few slight changes from Laguna to get a bit more rotation into the car and was all set.

It was easy to get up to speed this week as I had already done an Endurance race at Suzuka a few days ago so my lines and apex speeds were still fresh.

Qualifying:
Managed to get 2 good laps in, the second being my best of the night so far. That was enough to give me my best Qualifying of the season.

3rd

Race:
I held my position after the rolling start and stayed on pace with the leading two until @BAZZER spun off. That gave me P2 as myself and @yuc2002 pulled away from the field.

After about 20 minutes I realised I wasn't going to beat @yuc2002 on raw pace and since we were well ahead of P3 I decided to try something different in an attempt to steal a win. He pitted with about an hour to go so I went for a 1 stop strategy.

My initial plan was to run on RH for an hour and pit for RM at the end but with 50 to go I was already losing too much time to @yuc2002's second stint and boxed at the halfway point. I put in what I felt at the time was an adequate amount of fuel and continued onward.

After @yuc2002 made his second stop he was 4 seconds in front (the same gap before we split our strategies) but with RM fitted he started to pull away. My gamble didn't pay off but I felt safe in P2.

Unfortunately towards the end my fuel was depleting faster than expected (I must have used quite a bit less during the Formation Laps, which messed up my calculations) and I ran out on the final lap at 130R. That was just far enough for @Brutaka to pip me on the line.

3rd

A fairly peacefull race for me.

Qualification: 5th, a good result for me as I haven't praticed and a had very understeering setup on that track

Race 8th, a rather good result.
I often think to myself "regarding all the mess happening every now and then in the first lap, why bother be in the top, let's be last and drive carefully". But I have to say that this time the start was incident free from what I saw. Every driver acting with care (@Ramalhinho91 was clearly faster behind me but didn't hurry me, thx)
Lap 2, first corner I slip on the green, wait for others to pass and re-enter track at 8th place, just before @Toshost. Had to defend a couple laps then he spun, leaving me alone with about 5 sec seperating me from the opponents in front and behind me. And that's all. I have been alone 75% of the time. My 1 pit strategy keeping RH and drive carefully worked.
At the very end, I couldn't hold my teammate @BAZZER and let him pass. I had my 8th place back. Anyway we bring good points for the team.

Completely off topic, but I just wanted to let you know I saw this in the world photo feed on GT6 last night when I was browsing. :P Very nice picture by the way, better than anyone else's on the feed. 👍
Oh neat, thanks :)

I normally use the pics for my driver profile, where I document my online racing history and results.

Yesterday's race was really good. I really liked the way all the guys behaved on track!
I knew the GT-R would be a difficult car to set for Suzuka and my lack of practice during the week didn't help at all.

I did the best I could on Qualifying (6th) and more than I could on Endurance because @RodeRuner1967, @Brutaka, @PJTierney and especially @yuc2002 were very very fast!
During the race I had an incident when I was catching my teammate @Pubs16 on the Esses. I knew he understood I was faster and eventually would let me pass because we didn't want to compromise results for the team. I just entered the left corner after the Esses too fast and bumped him unintentionally and he lost it when he touched the grass. I felt very relieved when I saw he managed to recover so well after that! (and I'm sorry of course man, that was not the place but @RodeRuner1967 was catching pretty fast).
So, during the race I tried some strategy and eventually (almost) paid off because I was catching @Brutaka at the same time I kept some distance ahead of @RodeRuner1967. BUT almost at the end of the race I suffered from a bug! My car at the chicane took off literally when I touched the kerb and I lost it  Then I lost contact with @Brutaka and @RodeRuner1967 :guilty:
Finished 5th.

Good week for everyone and see you all at the Nürburgring

It wasn't a lag spike in the race. Someone knocked over one of the skinny green cones and it ended up in the middle if the kink. I hit it several times going through there until it managed to move out if the way some. It caused me time on the guys in front of me everytime I hit it. It would bounce the car off the ground hitting it lol.

When I was behind @Brutaka I saw his car jumping when he passed at that spot. And after the race I saw on the replay your car doing that too. But you two managed to stay on track because the jump was small, if you see on replay my car is thrown away completly from the track :boggled: I wasn't expecting that lol

@Litchi

I saw that there were some penalties after Laguna Seca, do those penalties apply to that event's standings or were they carried over to Suzuka?

On a different note I watched the last 20 minutes of the PRO race last night, looks like there were some intense battles in the midfield.

To anwser to you i had great battles too, i understand that you wanted to defend your raking but i watched many times the 41th lap, in this lap i had 3 opportunity to be at your side to try to overtake ( at 1:23:00.180 ; 1:23:53.550 and 1:24:12.410 ) but you changed your line after me to closed the door, a bit lately i think.
About these battles on many laps after a moment it's useless, we both lost time and the drivers behind us can easily catch us.
If you are faster than me you will overtake me soon if i go ahead don't worry, see you on track ;)

Hey guys! I saw that we are going to the Nurb next weekend ( one of my favourite circuits ) but i saw Nascar Sprint Cup's schedule and i was going to ask if i am the only one who is going to watch Daytona 500 instead of racing here? Its a shame that both events are on the same day and hours... :|

I have an objection to my penalty. I reviewed the incident, @Brutaka, which is where the incident happened with you. I was clearly ahead by a decent race distance and lag seemed to be the problem. I don't think there was any driver error, just internet connection. So if that is where my "Illegal Blocking" penalty happened, please give it a second look.
