Stewards notes
Round 4
Qually: 9th
Sprint: 7th
Endurance: 6th
I was not prepare for this race, I had struggled throughout Qualifying and the Sprint. I made a setup change for the Enduro and it helped a bit, but I only made up one position due to another driver running out of fuel.
Also, This race went incident free in terms of technical and software issues. No delays whatsoever, very proud!
Congrats to my teammate, @j1Nk on his first GTWC victory!

Mid-Season report
4 rounds into Season 3 and what do I have to say so far? I'm loving it. AM has grown a lot in terms of pace, behavior, and consistency. All of the races have been extremely fun. There have, of course, been some issues that we would rather forget, but the racing makes up for it. I'm currently in or right outside the top 3 for the GTWC championship and I am 2nd for the GTEC. I am still focusing mainly on GTEC but I will continue to try my best to get the main title. Up next are some of my favorite tracks: Bathurst and Spa, both GTEC races

Note to self: remember how to drive before racing.

Great race, I have never had that much time to reflect on the terrible disitions that I have made. If I don't make it next week don't bother trying to get in tutch! XD

Hope fully it gets better in Itali!

Well done @j1Nk and @Ramalhinho91 for winning today, I had some nice battles and it was a great evening of racing all round :)

Thank you!

I loved our battle for first in the end. Side by side racing on it's best, I've looked it up on the replay it looks like an F1 Battle (especially through the Schumacher S).

Anyway great job from all of the AM Room, we've had a great evening!

Congrats to @j1Nk and @Ramalhinho91 for their respective wins!! :gtpflag:
The best S3 AM round to date imo, went without a hitch, no connection dramas and on time. Thank you guys :).
Had the best little battle with @BAZZER in the last couple laps of the Enduro to grab 4th place at the chicane. Be sure to have a watch if anybody in AM views our replay :D.

Unfortunately I'll have to watch the Pro coverage later... My attention needs to be spent on the girl today lol.

My sprint race went fine until last 3 min when I spun and got heavy damaged. Race over.
Good racing with eol and gabguss.

Endurance race went again better and no mistakes. Some good and clean racing with some drivers.
1 pitstop at lap 14 (31 min to run) and change tire to RM's.

Let's go Monza.

Edit: What track layout we're using for Monza race?

Qualifying - 4th

Sprint - 10th
Sprint race didn't went as I expected. I saw by the times set on Q that @j1Nk, @yuc2002 and @BAZZER were faster but at least I would fight for the podium. Well, right at Turn 1 I was hit from behind and that caused me some left rear damage. I managed to stay in P5 or P6 and decided not to pit (it's really annoying to drive the car with the steering wheel going crazy ). But later, me and @PJTierney bumped on each other and caused damaged on both cars. I apologize for that @PJTierney but when I tried to put the car where I wanted I lost control due to damage :guilty:
Last 10-15mins was a race against the clock.
Congrats to @j1Nk on his first win!

Endurance - 1st
Starting last on the grid, the last thing going through my mind was winning. I just wanted to recover as much as I could from the Sprint drama. I found myself on a really good pace, squeezing the RH tyres 'till the grip disappeared. The GT-R destroys the front tyres too fast so it was a challenge. After the pit stop, and now with RM I was a lot faster than the first part of the race so I would try to gain some positions 'till the end. But when I saw the gap for the leaders becoming shorter and shorter I realized I could catch them. So, on the last 5-7mins, 3 drivers were in the battle for the lead! I made the move for the lead at the beginning of the last lap after a lap behind @yuc2002 and managed to hold that position 'till the end.

@Pubs16 you're getting closer and closer to the podium. Go for it mate!

Good week for everyone. See you all at the Autodromo :)

I could use better pace myself, especially for Monza. If I remember, I'll write up a report later this week.

Q: 7th with only couple laps of practice before race, it's ok

Sprint 5th
At start I preferred let others pass me, finding myself at last position, and let them fight and eventually have damage, which happened :D. I had then a bit of battle with @Brutaka and finally finished at an honorable 5th place

Endurance 8th
Start and first corner were find until @bcd73 (who passed me on first corner) spun and hit me: another good evening coming for me :boggled:. I pitted and change for RM. At mid race I had almost recover and pitted again with 20 min left, right behind @Brutaka. I knew from sprint I was faster than him. We had great gentlemen battles (like always with him), I passed him several times but couldn't hold him and finally made a stupid error (or a few, due to inattention) that let him go to far to catch up. In the last lap I made another stupid error that let @CAMikaze pass me. (great last lap for you by the way 👍). With @PJTierney running out of fuel, I could have been 6th, but hey, it's all my fault.

Anyway, a fair amount of points for the team again, thanks to @BAZZER

Despite being off the pace I didn't get the results I felt I should have last night.

Pre-Race:
I was unsure if I would even compete last night, as I was out of town all weekend competing for real. I got back home mid afternoon but was still tired, so I didn't decide to compete until an hour or so beforehand.

Once I got into the lobby I realised I was well off the pace, @j1Nk and the others were faster on RH than I was on RM, the Ford wasn't going to do well around here. Nonetheless I did some setup tweaks and got the car somewhat driveable.

I have a feeling a lot of my understeer issues are because I "improved the body rigidity" before the start of the season; may have to buy a new Ford GT and see if that improves matters.

Qualifying:
I wrestled with the car for a few laps and got a PB, but mid-pack was all I could muster.

6th

Sprint Race:
I got off the line well and was level with the GT-Rs going into Turn 1, but with @Ramalhinho91 on the inside in my blind spot I clipped him going through the apex. Despite that I fought on and aimed to still complete the race without pitting.

I held on to the leaders for a few laps before that early contact came back to haunt us. @Ramalhinho91 was struggling on the exit of Turn 1 this time as I was on his left, and another tap changed the balance of my car. This time it was veering to the right and understeering heavily, so I limped around and pitted.

That put me down in P9 with little chance to improve, but towards the end I was catching the pack quickly, and made a daring move to pass @CAMikaze at the final turn.

8th

Endurance Race:
I seem to do better in the rolling starts and it was the case again this week as I made 4 places on the first lap. That became 5 when @BAZZER spun off. I stayed in P3 for a while until @Ramalhinho91 caught up and I had no answer for his pace.

As the minutes ticked down I started to think about pit strategy, and worked out that if the RH tyres didn't drop off drastically, I would be about 10-12 seconds quicker overall than if I pitted for RM, so with about 25 minutes to go I committed and stayed out.

Shortly after that the tyres started to drop more than expected but I was still set for a quicker race time than a 1-stop.

With half a lap to go however it all unravelled as the Ford's fuel tank wasn't big enough to last a full hour + 1 Lap (it did 1:00:48.xxx) and I dropped down the order, coasting to the finish.

In other news, the club I race with had some big news to announce over the weekend. Their current Race07 season, the V8 Australicars, will be broadcast on Motors TV from mid March. You can find the first few races on YouTube right now but being on TV is a big boost for the club and virtual racing in general :)

First, i have a request to any stewart able answer to me, i've been penalised for avoidable contact in Suzuka, i want to know when it happened during the race, i will not oppose to the sanction the rules are the rules, i want to watch that to not reproduce this mistake.
[Solved]

Second, i was disconnected 3 times during the Nürburgring GP/F events this sunday (1st time after the sprint, during the endurance then i joined the room again to watch the end of the race and i was disconnected again), since the last GT6 update my PS3 is often freezing when i quit the track or during a race loading i wasn't able to start the qualification of the 1st race this season for this reason.
Recently i created a new account, until now i havn't had any freeze or problems yet, i wondered if it's possible to finish the season with this new account to run safly.
Let me know if it is possible.

Nürburgring GP/F Races report
Qualifications 7th :
Unexpected 7th ranking with 1:57.004 i was able to qualify 4th but 7th was my best so far this season, in the end is was satisfied.

Sprint 11th :
I had a normal start, i was able to stay ahead eol and Gabguss until the 5th lap when TNR_FILO slipped in the chicane i managed to avoid an accident then i found myself in the pit lane, at this point my race was over.

Endurance disconnected 3-4laps before the end of the race :banghead: :
Normal start then i was stuck behind FRS_SK8R, imposssible to overtake, i pit at the 5th lap to lose less time, i managed quickly a 1:55.100 pace, i joined him before his stop then TRL_EVOLUTION went out off the pitlane behind us with big pressure on us , later in this lap i finished on the sand after a contact, i wasn't able to save the replay after the race for disconnection, i stopped a second time in the 18th lap, i managed a 55 low pace again, i finally overtook FRS_SK8R but because i crashed earlier i had a 15-20 seconds gap to join the next driver, i tried but i was diconnected.

ORA FIA GTWC Round 4 AM, Nurburgring GP/F

Qualifying:
Managed a 1:58.7 on my first lap, not my fastest but after results I wasn't able to move much higher with the top 3 in the 57s which I had yet to see on my RH's in the GTR.

5th

Sprint Race:
Good start off the line, stayed wide to avoid any drama up the front but was surprisingly clean. @PJTierney was able to sneak up the inside but got into a tangle with team mate @Ramalhinho91 just in front of me, a little damaged I was able to sneak up past him into Turn 6. Was able to keep the pressure off behind, everyone in one massive line for the first lap, did not want to get caught in something or make a mistake. Had some great fun following @PJTierney for the next few laps trying to find a way to get past cleanly, Ram even joining in to make it a little more challenging lol. Manage to pass PJ after he runs wide into the final chicane, end of lap 3.
The leading 3 managed to slip away as I was a little held up in the opening laps 2nd and 3rd just 6 seconds up the road, but @j1Nk with his amazing pace pulling a second on me each lap. Once I had clear road ahead I put my head down to find a groove to at least get closer to the podium. @BAZZER and @yuc2002 having a battle up ahead was encouraging to maybe gain some time on their battling pace. Seemed over the next 15mins I was not able to produce faster times, just shy it seemed as they wouldn't pull away very very much but I couldn't get any closer lol.
With a comfortable gap over @-vinc'- I was able to secure my second 4th place in my AM GTWC debut season :D.

4th

Endurance Race:
Was quite nervous for the rolling start being 4th and the dreaded hairpin for the start. Everybody managed a relatively good start though, @bcd73 however seemed a little to hot coming into Turn 1 just squeezing down the inside of me as I was quite shallow. Got the slightest of bumps from him right next to me, on the exit receiving right front damage, it wasn't too bad, steering wheel was a little right hand down and would produce more understeer on left-handers than I would have liked. After assessing my speed after a lap I decided to continue on for my planned stint. @PJTierney gaining the best of my new learning into the lines I had to slightly change, getting a great pass out of Mercedes Arena Turn 5 (had slightly given it to you mate ;) ). Holding 5th with PJ slipping away and @Ramalhinho91 making a stunning start from last to 6th, catches me after 4 laps I kept our Team's championship in mind and let him pass down the back straight to allow him to press on with his pace, now 6th. It wasn't until after that about 12mins in that I was able to reach consistent 1:59s at least and could stay within somewhat of an okay gap to the leading cars, especially 3rd and 4th still.
I had planned from the start to run at least 40mins on my RH's as I could comfortably keep up pace right through their wear and then have a short run on RM's for the end and hopefully overlap everybody else who may be pitting a little earlier I was thinking. @BAZZER had made a mistake at some point in the first half hour and was coming back fast eventually getting into a few seconds away from me, was able to keep closer times luckily but he was still pulling each lap before he decides to pit towards the half way mark.
Keeping to within 5-6 seconds of @PJTierney (who takes the lead with 25mins to go) I was wondering whether he would pit very late like me or not at all, as I had considered a no stop before the race however would just be a couple laps short in fuel for the GTR. I was running in 3rd until @yuc2002 getting back past me after his pit stop, with 20mins remaining on the clock I decide to pit for RM's and a splash of fuel, I rejoin 6th 14 seconds behind @BAZZER. Knowing he had pit quite a bit earlier I stuck my head down to keep with his initial pace and then to start possibly gaining when his grip would start to drop off.
With 15mins to go I'm keeping an eye on the standings and see PJ drop down to 4th still not having pitted, meanwhile I can see I'm now gaining on Flank. Man I was pushing so hard to catch both of them by 10mins to go, just keeping the closest eye on the track map for improvements (I really wish GT6 had splits to your target gap, not the leader lol). With 6mins to go Flank manages to pass PJ and I knew he'd have nothing left in grip, such a drop off in pace man... PJ putting up a massive fight when I finally reach him with 4MINS TO GO, get past without too much of lost time, and pushed on to see Flank. I knew if i COULD catch him by the end, I'd have no more than 1 lap to try get past him and it wouldn't be easy.
Sure enough 2mins to go 2nd last lap there was 1 second between us, reaching @BAZZER's behind by the start of the last lap I just had to try and get it now, he seemed to have a drop in pace the last couple laps himself but was still able to place the SLS in good positions to keep me from having eager dives. I thought if I could just hang on until the back straight and cliche like get draft off him into the chicane, I managed to hang on and with @BAZZER defending into the chicane, runs wide slightly and I was able to zip past in front for the last corner finishing 4th. Fricken awesome last lap battle man!

4th

Congratulations to both podiums for the races! @j1Nk (who also got his first win! congrats), @yuc2002, @BAZZER and @Ramalhinho91 for your win from last in the Enduro ;), I know dude so so close to a podium for me now! lol

I'm so so pumped up after this round still seriously haha, for me this is 1 of my first series that I've ever entered competively online and GTP, to able to run with the front (or quite close lol), have fast clean battles and to be a competitive entry with maybe not so much outright speed but in strategy I'm so stoked at how awesome these races were. May not have been a win or even a podium but I'll take that ;) but most of all that was THE MOST funnest racing I've had so far in terms of battling other people closely. I feel especially after this round that the competitiveness of my fellow AM drivers and the desire for high results has really pushed me to become better than I ever have on GT6, I hadn't even had my G27 that long before I graded for this series and now 4 rounds into GTWC I feel like I've been using my wheel for a year at least, not 2 months lol. Just makes me want to race more and more.

Now half way into the season and I'm fairly sure the top 7 or so in the AM standings are going to be so tight after we finalise Round 4, it's gonna be hell interesting heading into Round 5 @ Monza in a couple weeks. Can't wait to race with everyone again!

Good luck to everyone whose competing in the CORE N24!

I'm moving house next Wednesday so packing all weekend after work is over lol but my wheel and Sony will be the last possible thing to take away so I'll most likely be on usual race time so could be keen to have a race with anybody else on midfield ;).
And it's one of my favorite GT2 tracks! Shame I can't use my ps3 for now :(
Get it cranking man!! ;) I'm yet to have a run on it but it looks amazing.
