Remove me completely from this league. I'm going to stick to racing with clean drivers.
Those first 7 laps of GP/F were truly awful,i lost count of the amount of times i was subject to dirty pass moves.

Sorry to hear that Kryten, if there are issues that need looking at then the only way the management team can deal with them is if they are reported.

As i promised i upload my ferrari image and olso a image of my rig mabe others do the same.

Nice Ferrari Narcis and great setup too. Il post my new rig being put together when the bucket seat arrives.

Free practice for GTC SC and Ferraris tonight in my lounge, usual time of 21:30.

Im a little concerned that we have not heard anything from the newer members who have joined the Ferrari event such as Pelcri. Please post if you get chance so we know you will be racing with us.

I have been really busy the past few days so will update asap and im certainly looking forward to the final GTC SC round and the start of the new Ferrari Cup!

Still time to vote for the Picture of the Month competition too dont forget!

Congratulations to Mos for winning the May Photo of the Month Competition. Can you please PM me your prize request and also the theme for the June competition.

Large admin update to come later after the last round of the German Touring Car Super Cup.

@Kryten, as requested you will be removed completely from the league.

Due to Krytens removal there will be a spot open in our next event, the Ferrari F430 Cup. Please post if you wish to register for this event.

As previously mentioned, some new members that registered for the Ferrari event have not been seen for a while so there may be more places become available. If you wish to be considered as a replacement driver then again please post and you will be contacted if required.

Also as part of the admin update tonight, a system will be put in place that will require drivers to join an event before the 3rd round. After which no new drivers will be allowed to join unless special circumstances dictate a change. No team swaps/driver swapetc will be permitted. This has been done in the hope that drivers who register will turn up.

The GTC SC has been a disappointment in regards to some members being let down and left with hardly any chance of winning the event. Some people have had team mates that cant be bothered to attend/forget etc. If this is the case for future events that are team based then please do not register for the event.

Thank you very much guys for voting for my picture. I am honoured though I did lack a bit of competition, I hope more pictures will make its way to the next competition.

Hope the theme I eventually chooses is not to hard to capture:)

see you guys on track tonight at the GTC final. Meep Meep.

Well done mate, Im hoping Spatt, Gray and a few others will join in for the next competition.

So Mos has chosen the theme for June as follows:

Cars of the movies.

Take a car from either your favourite movie or take your favourite movie car and grab a picture of it either by re-creating a movie scene, or just show it off on the road.

Please comment on which movie it is from and maybe even why the car was chosen:)

The photo OP has been updated, the poll option wont be available so please post you choices and I will keep a count of votes cast.

Well done, very nice picture:tup:. See you tonight.

Well the final round of the German Touring Car Super Cup is tonight.

The Championship is wide open between the Mercedes CLK Team and the BMW M3 Team. Recent performances, notably by Doctorpotford has ensured that this event goes down to the final round at Monza.

Good luck to all and I look forward to seeing as many on the grid as possible.

Tomorrow sees the start of the highly anticipated Ferrari F430 Cup, again at Monza for the opening 2 rounds. Last minute colour changes are to be updated tonight and dont forget to get those V8s ran in!

As tonight is the final round of the GTC SC I want to thank all those who have shown up for this series. 9 races and 6 different winners has made this series really enjoyable.

Some have been let down by their team mates by not showing up. All of us have lives to live outside of GT5, so in the future if any team events come up, please make sure you can turn up for the majority of races. It is after all only an hour out of your day each week. What makes it more annoying is that some who have been registered for the GTC SC are online playing other games at the same time that the qualifying/race starts.

Teckle: As ever you've been there or there abouts come the end of a race high up in the finishing order. Had you had a team mate for most of the races, you'd have been in the running tonight.

M1 (easy): You came into this series half way through the season and have not had any help at all from your team mate. Good to see you've now teamed up with "The Doc", a driver who wont let you down.

Narcis Rossy & Roberte: Big thanks to you two for showing up for the races. The league now realises that for you, racing at 21:30 UK time means waiting up until 23:30 before the race starts. In future, events will start at an earlier time to make it better for you.

Mos Gray & NUFC: Become great additions to the league. Always fun to race against and you always show up for races when you can. Looking forward to your first ORDL win mos & gray. Shouldn't be far away. Well done on the picture of the month too mos.

Good luck tonight guys.

Thanks iTzZa, I really enjoy the German touring cars and the racing has been close and clean. My team mate has let me down a bit by not turning up (& in the races as well - I lapped him in two of the races he participated in). I'm still hoping for a podium finish and in essence will have an additional 4 team mates driving the BMW's and Mercedes to help me. Good luck to everyone tonight.

Well thats it, the GTC SC has ended!

Some great racing throughout this event and I will be posting final standing etc tomorrow. A big thank you to all those who have taken part and to Itz for the admin work done on behalf of the event. No rest for us, the Ferrari F430 Cup is upon us and should prove to be a tough event.

THE GTC SC has been as enjoyable as the LExus ISF RM Championship and I will be working on building the next event to take place after the Ferrari Cup finishes.

In the mean time dont forget to fight for points to climb the table for the Champions Cup.

Again a thank you to all for making it a truly fun race experience!

For now, a brief outline of things to come from the ORDL:

ADMIN UPDATE:

Kart Series:

Kart Series is to be renamed the Speciality Series – Itz will continue to run this Series under the new name and will incorporate the following:
• Karting
• Mini Events
• Rally Specials
• Time Trials

The main reason for the change is to host small events to enable members to gain points towards reaching the Champions Cup Event. By expanding this series enables us to incorporate more aspects of racing.

Race Series:

Now the German Touring Car Super Cup has finished you will find the results page will be updated shortly. Again throughout this event our one concern is reliability of drivers who fail to show up for races. Can I please apologise to those affected by team mates not showing, the GTC SC standings could have finished so different if they had attended more races.

Enduro Series:

Changes may be made to the Enduro Series after the current event finishes. The admin team will be discussing various issues over the next week or so and both ITz/Ed will receive a PM from me in due course.

Champions Cup:

More information will be posted soon, Speciality Events will give members more chanve of qualifying for the Champions Cup.

Website:

I am currently awaiting some results to update our archive section. Due to recent limitations, replays/results have not been updated but will be so shortly. Some minor website changes will take place over the coming days.

GamePOD are still offering discounts to ORDL members and we have also negotiated with GSM Performance to provide discounts on customised fixed bucket seats.

Email ordlmanagement@gmail.com for more information.

Im currently awaiting delivery of a customised seat and will post images soon. See website for more details.

ORDL Gaming Rig:

I have been working on an Aluminium Profile race rig and GSM are supplying bucket seats as above.
When the first rig has been completed they will be available to order in a diy kit, again email for more information.

So tonight sees the start of the Ferrari F430 Cup.

1 place is currently available since Kryten left the ORDL. Registrations for this event will only be taken until Round 3 so please post if you wish to join.

Remember that NO tuning options are allowed for this event.

This event will hopefully see better attendance from members and remember that races are 20:30 to accommodate our overseas drivers.

Good luck to everyone, hopefully this will be a really enjoyable event. Mos, Gray and a few others have been unlucky so far in races and I hope they get up on the podium. Dont forget that points will affect the Drivers League Table regarding the Champions Cup so pedal to the metal!

Current Entry List:

f430event.png

PM me if any corrections need to be made.

ADMIN:

Registered Drivers List Updated:

newmicrosoftpublisherdov.png

PMs have been sent to inactive/non attending members.

GTC SC Final Standings have been added to website Event History. Please feel free to browse our results section.

Ed will be posting some information at some point regarding the Enduro Series. There have been some issues regarding the GT500 Cup that Ed is aware of and dealing with.

ORDL TEAM:

Yet to be discussed with the rest of the admin team, but I would like to see if any RELIABLE members would be interested in representing the ORDL in a team event. Please PM me if you are interested.

GTC Team Race

Congratulation to the Merc team! Team BMW was very closed only 3 points behind at the end.

TOTALLYTECKLE done very well without a team mate.

We should have another team event again (may be after the summer holiday). How about if we have larger teams -

3 teams of 5 cars (such as DTM Merc vs BMW vs Audi)
or even 2 teams of 7 cars (such as GT500 Honda vs Nissan)

All points from each race go to the team only (no points for individual drivers), at the end of the championship all members of each team receive the same championship points (say 200 points for the winning team, 150 points for the 2nd, etc).

That should encourage more team work, group testing, not letting team mates (4 or more team mates) down and clean racing (not to take our your team mates to begin with, that could be 50% of the cars on track if there are only 2 teams) etc.

Thanks mate, it was a great Event, I still got the write up to do.

Shame about Spatt, I have not heard from him in ages and a PM has been sent. Again my appologies to Teckle, it was a fantastic effort on his part to do as well as he did.

Thanks for the suggestions, its nice to see ideas coming from our members about what we can do in the future.

Regarding ORDL Events, the league uses the following format:
  • Championship - Driver and Team
  • Cup - Driver Only
  • Super Cup - Team Only
  • Knockout Cup - Not points based

More event types are to be added soon as we look to expand with different regulations and resitrictions.

The Drivers League Table (DLT) will always award points for each driver in a team for an event win, 2nd etc

I have a few events in mind in various formats and there will certainly be another team event soon in either the Race or Special Series. I agree that bigger teams will pressure drivers to attend and it will certainly be happening (The Italian Job Event for a start).

The league has been running since February time and its only now starting to settle down and the admin team are seeing which members are reliable and keen to get involved.

Hi all. Sorry for the no shows recently. Teck my apologies to you for letting you down. I guess I forgot that this event was a very team based event. Still no excuse I know. Gran turismo hasnt spun for a couple of weeks now in my ps3. Loosing my rig setup ment I lost alot of interest in this sim racer when I moved back home.

Some of you know iv been with the ordl since the very first race and what a long way its come in that time. Congrats to those that made it so. Iv always considered myself quite dedicated to racing and the ordl even if most of the time it seamed hopeless. Looking out for cars lapping me tends to be the highlight haha. However I have stopped racing in events recently thinking my absence would go unnoticed. It isn't fair for people who want to join.

I would like to take the opportunity now to start fresh and withdraw my part in all events except for the Ferrari road event that is upcoming. Cya all on the track ;)

Its nice to hear from you Spatt, you have been missed more than you know and its great to have you back. I have edited the drivers table to reflect that you will continue racing with us and I hope to see you at the next round of the Ferrari F430 Cup.

Im sure all members, new and old will enjoy racing with you bud. Like you said, you are one of the original members and we would hate to see you leave. The league has come along way in such a short time and we all want you to be a part of it.

Ferrari F430 Cup:

Well it was certainly an interesting start to this event with bumps and scrapes along the way. Congratulations to our first round winners, Mosendtner and NUFC!

Here are the results from the first rounds:

f430cup11.png

f430cup12.png

The results have also been added to the website.

Again it is stressed that any race incident needs to be reported if required via the IRF located on the website. Do not hesitate if there is something you want the admin team to look at.

ADMIN:

RML updated, sadly we have lost a few members recently. We are looking to recruit new drivers so if anyone has any friends that they would like to introduce to the ORDL then please do so.

newmicrosoftpublisherdoz.png

ORDL RACING TEAM:

I have had a few enquire about this already and a page will be added to our website soon. Feedback from my initial post has been great and admin will hand pick the drivers we think will make the strongest possible team. If a driver that is picked does not want to be part of the team then we will consider others who have PMed or posted interest in the thread.

More information coming soon, events need to be set up and confirmed etc before we can progress.

Great races tonight everyone!
Really enjoyed it, very pleased I wasn't last, could get used to it!
Well done to Mosendter and NUFC for winning and can't wait for the next race :)

Thank you very much for the races last night, it was epic fun, and now I can celebrate my first win, extremely happy for it, and hope I can keep my great form up for the rest of the season:D

Nice to see gray keeping up with the rest, I see potential in you! Keep practicing and you will be able to challenge for wins :nervous:

It was really enjoyable, especially with the reverse grid ensuring fair competition throughout. I have looked over the replays with Itz and there does seem to be some lag issues. My incident in race 1 with M1 showed no contact and there were also other cars skipping all over the track.

I have been advised to change my lounge settings so there may be a more stable connection for all involved at the next round. Again congratulations to our winners, roll on round 2!

Due to network issues and not all racers see each other, causing unexpected bumping and crashing, mabe you should consider turning collision off / or kick players who can not see all racers.
Last night i saw all 11 players but i was bumped , spined, and throw out of the track by players who could not see me(mabe). I intend to believe they did'nt do it with intention.

Unlucky last night Narcis. You got bumped bad in Race 2, Lap1, just after 2nd chicane which sent you to back of the pack. You did very good to get back in the race, and you were unlucky not to get a 4th or 5th at the end.

Hopefully with the lounge setting changes for the next round, the network issues won't be a problem.

Qualifying:
A big "well done" to whoever set a 1:42.xxx lap time within 15 seconds, after Evo had said qualifying had started. To have a "No fast laps in warm up please guys" and then set that lap time, takes some doing :odd:

Agree with Itz that it was a great drive from Narcis to get back in the running and also new settings should make race quality better.

Free runs before qualifying, now this was agreed to check for potential problems. Lap times during free run should be no where near race or qualification times.

Monza for example, 1:42.xxx is way too quick, please ensure lap times are around 10-15 seconds off the pace to ensure that the slower drivers will be able to set their times below free run times. If your nearing the end of the lap either slow or pull over.

I understand that we may have a new member, Slalom, I will check Registration info and update RML as required. Please post if you wish to join the Ferrari F430 Cup with your chosen colour.

Hi guys last night was fun.I had a poor first race after some contact that made me run wide and spin on the grass lol, Second race was much better for me :). Sorry to hear about the connection problems hopefully they are better for the next race.

Haha, congrats on the win Toon!

I think it was fun more so because we are all running identical cars. I have got a lot of events being planned and some will again be one make, no one seemed to run away last night and that is exactly what we want.

The Gallery on our website has changed a little. Il be adding more photos over this week from GTC, Lexus ISF and of course, the Ferrari event.

F430 Race

Congrats to the 2 winners NUFC and Mosendter.

As promised, some video clip from my replay, could be a little different to yours:

Race 1 - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1HMo_VOEj8E

As seen on the replay Lap 3 last turn from Evo's point of view, he was trying very hard to pass me, he went on the grass, could not slow down enough and bump me off the track, he ran wide, off the track and gone mad!! I am sure that was not the case, it was lag, I don't think we did make real contact. From my point of view, after I left the track everyone race pass me OFF-ROAD, you guys are sure good rally drivers!

Race 2 - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BIk_mw9a3Vs

This Video is not very well made (it was not me, making video is far be on my expertise lol) it is out of sequence. But you can see a very exciting start for everyone, and how I got taken out by NUFC on the 2nd chicane, again I am sure he done no such thing, it was lag again.

I had 2 or 3 laps of good battle with Ed and Narcis, very close yet clean, great fun. Until lap 4 turn 1, Narcis used his 'special move' of jumping backwards and bump me off the track, lag again, I am sure he done no such thing.

From that stage onward, I was just going to follow gray and give him a little pressure until end of the race, until he start smoking and jumping on lap 5, it was best for me to drop back keep away from everyone and make sure no further contacts.

So I have no complain for race 1 nor race 2. I put this down as 'mechanical failure', it is part of motor racing! Just hope that my car and/or lag has not course any problems to other drivers.

BTW - Any of you guys from the F430 race like to join the Enduro races on Sunday night, there are a few places available.

Im not sure if I have read this right, do you mean I was mad with you?

The incident at the last long bend before the straight from my replay showed no contact before you went into the gravel. I thought I had done something wrong and that it was my fault, thats why I apologised after the race in the lounge.

I agree that 90% of incidents last night were due to lag and I hope the lounge settings will iron out any issues.

So..... is everyone happy with each other and the way the races went last night?

Evo

This is what I see at the chicane. Sorry for the quality it's from my phone.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=youtube_gdata_player&v=numy-i_RRZg

This is the first lap and its like a different race compared to the one M1 see.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=youtube_gdata_player&v=y653EwjnfCI

Thanks for the videos, I was hoping to see what it was like from a non-lag replay, it looks like a rear suspension failure just before the chicane lol.

Yes it look like 2 different races, lets hope that we have only 1 race with everyone in it next week.

No Evo, I did not mean you were mad with me (and I am not mad with you), I mean your car went mad after the incident (on my replay only), it went off the road, jump forward/sideways, smoke coming out etc. As I said, it was lag and I don't think we did had any contact on that corner at all. And I have no complain.

Evo's got a long history of gravel drifting :D

Sure there's someone in Race 2 @ 38 seconds flying in the air backwards.

Great overtake by Gray @ 3:15. He must have hit boost. Brilliant
