Sounds good Cac. It's a nice little car with neutral handling so you should have a blast in it.

You'll be teamed up with Red as he locked in the Evora from the get go.

ORS GT | SEASON 2 | ROUND 1 | PRE RACE BRIEFING

ORS_GT_S2_R1_zps7f543953.jpg

For the opening round to the ORS GT Championship Season 2 we are headed to Germany for a 48 lap race around the Nurburgring GP/F.

The following ORS Rules apply at all times during qualifying and racing.

- 2 wheels must stay inside the white line.
- Drivers must ensure when entering the pits that they nor their b-spec driver cuts the white lines
- Drivers must stay inside pit exit line when exiting pits
- Regardless of position when overtaking the car in front has the ownership of the racing line
- Lapped cars must give way to leaders of the race and not become an obstacle
- Ramming not tolerated
- Foul language not tolerated
- Please keep text comments to a minimum while qualifying sessions are underway
- Text chat can only be used by stewards during a race

A full list of penalties and the points that will be applied to a driver for each penalty can be found by clicking the banner below.

If you do have an off be wary of the reduced grip level once you've rejoined the track. Also when rejoining, please aware of your position on the track relative to your fellow races. Drivers rejoining the track must give way to race traffic and not become an obstruction.

All drivers must ensure they have set their cars to meet required specifications (see page 1) for the race. Failure to comply can results in a point penalty, disqualification from the race to removal from the series (see infringement link above).

Now finally all drivers must make sure they submit their tyre choice for qualifying/race start by 3pm (Sydney time) Sunday. Once your tyre choice has been submitted you cannot change it. If you fail to nominate a tyre by the deadline you will qualify and start the race on Racing Hards.

Regards,

Oni
ORS Committee

Apologies all, I likely won't be able to make qualy tonight. Wishing everyone a great kick off for the season and I'll see you all for tomorrow nights race.

Not a problem Jase. Will see you on monday.

As nobody opted to go for Racing Mediums for round 1 it looks like its going to be a great opener and qualifying session. Good Luck to all the drivers.

Oops totally forgot about qually and the tyre dead line been afew weeks.. will see u tomorrow from the rear of the grid good luck on qually boys.

No problem Lost. I expected a few people to forget. Myself included.

I did change the deadline to 3pm due to this but that is for this round only. All other rounds deadline remains at 12pm Sundays.

Ok it seems a lot of drivers didn't notice that all qualifying sessions now run with penalties on. I'd suggest you all have another read through the rules. While most of them remain unchanged from Season 1. There are slight changes to ballast, tyre regulations and qualifying.

Sry guys. Can't seem to get a connection. Have been trying for the past 30 minutes. Looks like I've got line issues. I'll see you all tomorrow night.

You may have noticed I went to the settings page after scrutineering was done, this was to change transmission settings. If you need to DQ my qualifying time so be it :)

Out of pure curiosity do you have the time I got? Just wondering if I stack up, speed wise on fresh tires.

No i didn't. Once you left the room the time went with you. I had not time to jump out and check your time before you left.

Oni, apologies for the late notice but there is a great chance that i won't be able to race tonight. I will do all i can to join but i can't promise it at this stage.
Again, apologies for this.
Cheers
Rod

Hey all, just read the posts and man the pickings are slim.

Sorry I've been offline for a while, I'm in the states at the moment and arrive back in Australia in about three days. I'm keen as to race but might miss the next race as I fly in on Sunday and have no idea on which car to pick or do any practice.

Good news is I picked up a new G27 wheel for $150, so it looks like the old DFGT is up for sale. Woo hoo....

When I first started reading the post I thought I'd get the SLS but it was snapped up pretty fast. I'm sick of the GT40 after series 1 so I might try something different....
The 458 maybe????? Shocking front end

See ya all soon
Evan

Hey Ev,

Was wondering where you been. Good to see your still keen to jump back in and give your new wheel a workout.

I have no problems with you missing the next race and joining for round 3. Definitely give the 458 and maybe the LP640 a go. Rod might be able to hook you up with a setup for the LP640.

HEY GUYS
Next season we will have a round at BATHURST!!!!!
The BATHURST track looks AWESOME i can't wait.
Check out the GT6 BATHURST announcement video on gran turismo.com.au or YOUTUBE.

As Mr Meeks said in Cloud Atlas...'I know, I know!'.

The Mountain looks Fan-Bl**dly-Tasic in the GT interpretation and makes GT6 a must have.

Meds for me.

Hards please.

Apologies as I won't be able to make quali as I'll be in sydney for footy GF, but will be there on race night.
