Round 2 we head to the sandy desert in the USA for a 52 lap race at the Laguna Seca Raceway.

ORS_GT_S2_R2_zpsa3b10d85.jpg

The following ORS Rules apply at all times during qualifying and racing.

- 2 wheels must stay inside the white line.
- Drivers must ensure when entering the pits that they nor their b-spec driver cuts the white lines
- Drivers must stay inside pit exit line when exiting pits
- Regardless of position when overtaking the car in front has the ownership of the racing line
- Lapped cars must give way to leaders of the race and not become an obstacle
- Ramming not tolerated
- Foul language not tolerated
- Please keep text comments to a minimum while qualifying sessions are underway
- Text chat can only be used by stewards during a race

A full list of penalties and the points that will be applied to a driver for each penalty can be found by clicking the banner below.

If you do have an off be wary of the reduced grip level once you've rejoined the track. Also when rejoining, please aware of your position on the track relative to your fellow races. Drivers rejoining the track must give way to race traffic and not become an obstruction.

All drivers must ensure they have set their cars to meet required specifications (see page 1) for the race. Failure to comply can results in a point penalty, disqualification from the race to removal from the series (see infringement link above).

The following drivers need to ensure they are carrying the below ballast for Monday night.

Oni_chan - 35kgs (1315kg)
GTP_JTV - 25kgs (1305kg)

Failure to comply can results in 1 race bans to removal from the series.

Now finally all drivers must make sure they submit their tyre choice for qualifying/race start by 12pm (Sydney time) Sunday. Once your tyre choice has been submitted you cannot change it. If you fail to nominate a tyre by the deadline you will qualify and start the race on Racing Hards.

Can't make qualifying tonight due to the NRL grand final.

Would be good to reschedule qualifying till tomorrow night as a few of us are going to be absent due to the NRL grand final.

GO THE MIGHTY CHOOKS !!

Cheers Vendal

If enough people want it moved we can move it this one time due to the footy grand final.

Ok.. as MrT is also out. We will have qualifying before the race tomorrow night.

QUALIFYING MOVED to Monday night before race.

Sorry for the late notice about not attending, really in to this game tonight. Daylight savings has thrown me a bit lol

Not a problem guys, provided all these people all start at the back of the field and sit out on qualifying.

Series is becoming a farce!

Oni,

Based on my great performance last night, I would like to kindly request a car change, please....you know.....so others can have a chance!:P

It will probably be the Viper, but I want to have a try on the others as well.

Please, let me know if this is allowed.

Cheers,

Rod

Hey Rod,

I'll get back to you on the car change. Feel free to test other cars in the meantime though.

On to another topic i'd like to suggest that we move Qualifying back to monday nights to avoid any issues with having Qualifying being postponed in future. With moving Qualifying back to monday nights it would be reduced to a 20 minute session (10 minutes reserved for scrutineering).

Therefore Qualifying would start at 8:40pm with Scrutineering at 8:30pm.

Let me know if this is ok for all and i will make the rule change.

Cheers,
Oni.

I can never make Sunday's, so definatelly happy with this.

Also, starting at 8:30pm is better as well.

👍

NOTICE TO ALL

I am offering everyone in the series a 1 time get out of jail free card. What i mean by this is. Everyone is given a chance this 1 time only to change their car for the series. I know some of you maybe struggling in your choice of car so from today you are now hereby allowed to change your car. You have until midnight Sunday the 13th October to make your decision. You can only select cars that are not already taken by drivers unless they have chosen to change that car to a different one.

Be warned though. This is a 1 time only deal. Once you make your final decision on Sunday night you cannot change it and that car will be locked in for the remainder of the series. I have no problems if you want to stay in the same team but use a different car. Just make it known or i will auto sort those left out of teams into teams.

Cars still availble

2x Aston Martin V12 Vantage
2x Dodge Viper SRT10 Coupe
1x Lamborghini LP640
2x Maserati GranTurismo
2x RUF RGT

Tier 2 cars availble

1x Ford GT
2x Ferrari 458 Italia
2x Lamborghini Gallardo

Watching the 2005 Bathurst 1000 on Speed .... Bring on GT6 ... cant wait to bump Mr T in the chase.

Sorry for the no contact oni on monday. Had no net time to write on hear and wasn't home for afew days so couldn't psn you.

No problem Lost. Just a heads up but day light savings is on in Syd so the races start 1hr earlier for you in Kiwi land.

Just further to the qualifying suggestion. If moved to monday night it will still be an unlimited amount of laps within the 20 minute session to set your fastest lap. Hope that avoids any confusion.

ATTENTION | CHANGES TO ORS RULES

After an overwhelming response by the drivers regarding qualifying. We have moved qualifying to Monday nights before each race. The below changes will now be in effect. Also we have made some changes to the amount scrutineering required each round.

ORS_S10_GT_qualifying_zps099e8be4.jpg

Qualifying is held in 1 single 20 minute session Monday night from 8:30pm (Sydney time). Drivers MUST state their tyre compound for qualifying/race start by 12pm Sunday (Sydney time) via posting in the forum or sending a PSN message to jasr73 and Oni_chan. Once you have submitted your tyre choice it cannot be changed. Penalties will be turned on during all qualifying sessions.

Each Tier will go out in qualifying sessions together. Be ensure you give each participant has enough free track space to set their best qualifying time. If you are not on a hot lap ensure you do not become an obstruction to the driver behind. Using another drivers draft to increase your lap time is prohibited and will void your current lap and all previous laps.

In the event you cannot attend qualifying or choose to sit out the session, you will be required to start from the back of the grid via alphabetical order on race night. You will not receive a penalty for missing qualifying scrutineering.

ORS_S10_GT_scrutineer_zpse1a39613.jpg

Scrutineering will be held after every qualifying session and race session. All drivers must attend. If anyone fails scrutineering the will need to ensure appropriate adjustments are made their car to comply with ORS specifications. Point Penalties will apply if a driver fails after race scrutineering. You will not receive a point penalty for failing after qualifying scrutineering however your time will be void and you will be sent to the back of the grid.

Once qualifying has commenced, you are prohibited from entering the tuning screen. If a driver enters the tuning screen whilst in the race room then they will need to go through scrutineering again which will delay the race for everyone. It is up to the driver to ensure their cars engine is fully run in to avoid failing scrutineering after each race. (i.e new cars will produce more horsepower after a race event which will fail scrutineering).

Scrutineering will work as follows;
➢ Drivers enter race room
➢ Qualifying starts
➢ After qualifying scrutineering begins
➢ Host sets BHP/Weight limit for selected car
➢ Drivers enter the track in their nominated car
➢ If drivers haven’t been removed from track then they have passed
➢ Repeat the above for all other cars/drivers
➢ Race starts
➢ After race scrutineering begins (repeat above steps)
