Not the best night for me but very happy with the car change... feels awesome. ..lol

Still can't belive i threw race 2 off. ..oh well... Live and learn

Bring on the next race!

I Noticed me and rotor didn't get added to the team championship, does this not count if we are changing our car(even though we will both use the same car when we choose it).

Same with me Rod. Was a very disappointing round for me. I was aiming for 4th overall but ended up around 7th overall. All 3 races i sustained damage. Had a good fight in Race 1 trying to stick with Lost and in race 2 with mik. Those are my highlights.

Cactass should be adding you and your mate to the list later on. He maintains the point standings sheets. I have my own sheet mainly for scrutineering and tyre checks.

Gents,

I'm was just waiting to see if you guys are going to end up in the car, as most teams are grouped by car, but thats not to say you have to be in the same car. I'll stick you two gents in a team, no worries.

Cac.

Say I use softs in the next race does that mean I still have to use the medium and hards as well?

If you choose to use your only set of softs in the next round then you only have to use 1 of the other compounds. Mediums or Hards. 1 set of softs isnt going to last 33 laps. Be lucky to last half of that.

So say you went softs at Suzuka. Your ideal strategy would be something like Qualify/Start on Racing Mediums, 1st stop Mediums again and on the final stop would be a soft tyre to the finish line to seal the deal. So thats M, M, S as a pit strategy.

Oni don't give away ur straitageeey lol kiwi spelling lol
I never knew that I've always used hards meds and softs in one race.. thanks for the heads up
Cause in the rules it stated EVERY COMPOUND MUST BE USED.
Otherwise previous i woulda done 2x med 1 soft.. not one hards one meds then the soft..

Keep reading Lost ;)
Special rules apply to the Racing Soft compound.....
If you decide to use it during a race then it will replace 1 of the required compounds to be used during a race. For example: You start on mediums and decide to use your 1 set during the race. You will not be required to use the hard compound that race.

ORS - IMPORTANT STEWARDS UPDATE - ROUND 1

Please refer to previous post and point I made around "Clarification/Ruling around fastest lap for Round 1 – was Oni’s lap legal?" here.

After a further request for investigation in relation to Oni's lap from Round 1 of this series, it has come to our attention that upon closer inspection - unfortunately Oni's Lap IS NOT considered legal and fastest lap points will be removed.

The next fastest legal lap was driven by Redness who will now receive points for the fastest lap for Round 1.

Explanation
Please see the following picture (Image credit Redness) where we can clearly see that the leading edge of Oni's right front tire footprint where the rubber actually meets the road (marked by the red line) is outside the edge (marked by the green line) of the white track boundary marker AND importantly not millimeters within as I stated in the previous post.

Again these new findings invalidate Oni's lap.

I would like to offer my apologies for the error here and thank both Red and Cac for assisting with the ongoing investigation to ensure we get this right. The ORS Committee does endeavor to get these rulings as accurate as possible however sometimes good ol' human error can get the better of us (well me in this case). :dunce:

Do ensure if you have anything that you wish us to investigate into going forward that you think we haven't got right or perhaps simply warrants a second look - don't hesitate to contact Mr T, Arie, Cac or myself - the door is always open. (well till I go to bed anyway) :P

Thank you for your patience guys.
Cheers,
Jas

Anyone going to be having some practise sessions this week?

Keen to see where I am at with the car choice.

I jumped on last night and found deep forest's setup was great for Suzuka. Just gotta work on transmission and tyre life.

Hey mus
Done no testing at suzuka yet.
But in GT season 1 we doing around 2:01's to 2:02's on medium tyres.

CHEERS redness-63 (;)

I'd expect the RUF to be faster around suzuka cause of the 2 long straights and the fact the car is not hindered by downforce down the straights so should have the highest top speed of all the cars. However its got no downforce in the corners making it on worn tyres quite the concentration monster.

Feeling much happier with the Lambo now - Just need to do some long runs which I suspect will be the issue with this car

One driver has tried the lambo in an endurance and they changed cars the next day, just remember that this car is your last change.

Here you go lost as you were asking for a lap time around Suzuka. Unfortunately i had a sticky brake peddle all night which definitely didn't help with trying to set the car up but i did manage a 2:01.6xx with a sticky brake. I'd say 2:00.8s are possible.

I'll probably get on this weekend after sorting out the brake peddle to do some real testing and tuning. Can't get anywhere with a sticking brake peddle.

I know the feeling last 2months my accel pedal been sticking doesn't help under breaking and understeer! Cheers tho give me a lap time to chase.

Remeber musta/dc2 all 4wd have to run torque dist at 10/90..if you weren't aware..
