Bit disappointed with tonight guys, no-one except stig was helping me try get to lobby, I sent various msgs out with no responses.

I was unaware I needed ONI as a friend to race tonight, I didn't realize as I had no trouble the last few races. Even after sending a FR to ONI I was not able to join as he didn't accept it.

I was stuck in a similar boat to yourself, I could not join and have obviously missed the race, as I am writing this now while I should be racing!

I had trouble joining Oni's room which is unusal, got "unable to join room" then a couple of "incompatible host" errors which seems weird because I did some racing with Oni through the week in his lounge with no dramas...

Suffice to say I'm a little disappointed as I was hoping to wrap up the drivers championship tonight as I only needed 4th or better to seal it... Oh well, 🤬 happens! Hope everyone has a great close race! 👍

If someone wants to kindly post, Pole, Fastest Lap and Finishing Positions up here after the race I will update the Championship Standings table! 👍

I have purchased a house! 👍 Yes, that's right, an un-employed 24 year-old university graduate has somehow managed to con a bank into helping me buy a house... 👍
Obviously my partner's impressive income helped convince them we could afford it... (She's a keeper! ) But still, I will have my name on the title of a house before EVER being a full-time employee!


EDIT 2:
Drivers & Teams Championship Standings have now been updated to reflect Round 7 points. I still need the fastest lap winner from somebody so they can have their bonus point.

As for the Championships, Drivers is decided but there are potentially 5 drivers still in the hunt for second. Teams on the other hand is not quite decided with two teams still able to take the Championship, however, 3 teams (2nd through 4th) are separated by just 9 points so it could go either way in the chase for the runners up trophy. 👍

Ok had fun last night, really tested my staying power after getting damage turn 1 lap 1. Just a quick few photo's as i'm to lazy to watch every lap again.

I'm a fan of headlights and horns around Wheel and Roota, this is the parade lap

Turn 1, everything looks good so far

But on the exit, Wayn'z car turned left or lagged which pushed me wide into the gravel and got damage

One eye leads the way into the hairpin

... and that's where i stopped because that took 15mins for those first few corners!

Very interested to find out who did quickest lap, i did a 1:43.7xx

Haha I found out I was on mediums for the first run to lap 12...if I had of known that; I would have kept going lol. I was driving very cautionsly because I thought if I was on softs, then I had no right to race really...so I was just making sure that I wouldn't stuff up anyone elses race. Haha how whack is that!

I was disapointed after knowing i could get 23 laps out of one set of tyres was plaining on a 1 pit stop seemed to be working good, Untill it did a waynz on me and gave me softs. unfortunate for me and mike..

I had a race to forget last night.

I got damage on the parade lap. There was some concertina effect in the last tunnel. I wasn't paying close attention and when I realised I was driving towards the back of a bunch of slow moving cars it was too late to do anything . . . other than avoid them and hit the wall.

It was actually a light tap, but got me some damage - left front. It was steering bad, so at the 'S' bend thing I choose to hit my right side to even out the damage. It sort of worked. The car drove straight, but there were still issues.

After the start, I was turning slower than usual laps, but didn't really want to do an early stop as I had an idea of how tyre wear would affect my race plan. In hindsight I probably chose wrong.

Once I'd pitted, I was turning okay lap speeds, but was the last placed running car, the next guy ahead. . rota was exactly a half lap ahead, it was like bicycle velodrome racing, I'd enter the 1st tunnel and watch his triangle on the main straight. So I just turned laps and saw a few guys park up, plus one or two rage quits. Which meant me climbing in the order.

A hollow victory is still a victory . . . yeah right

The only bright point was at the end after the leader had crossed the line I had a last lap to drive and suddenly saw that rota was running really slow. I did my best to catch him, but just couldn't. It would have been good to get myself out of last running car position. But no.

Not testing at all during the week and leaving it until Monday afternoon really hurt me. The pace was there at the end of qualifying, but sadly I ruined my last sector and a chance to start in the top 3. I thought I had my setupd sorted by then, but I didn't at all. My tyres were ruined in the first stint by an over eager OnlineGT running into my front left and giving me heavy front damage which caused the tyre to light up almost every corner. An earlier than schedueled pitstop ment that I had to go for a longer 14 lap stint and by lap 14, Jol had made up about a 10 second gap because I had no tread on my front tyres (seriously, check the reply, lol) and in the last stint I managed to keep the same pace as Oni the whole way home after Jol made a big mistake at the "wannabe Eau Rouge" section.

I'll need to actually practise this week if I want to keep my second place in the championship

Given him 3 wheels damage on a ds3 nasty Rusty.. so if anything acuse waynz buddy.

Also within the first 5 laps i lost count on how many times you drove through my car luck penaltys picked it up

Hey mate go watch the replay from waynz or OnlineGTs view to back those words up against OnlineGT i watched the replay and it was actually waynz that slammed into the rear of OnlineGT sending him into you! and as a result he had to drive on a ds3 with 3 wheels damaged so if anything it was an over eager waynz

until I decided I'd like to be disqualified and accidentally put on softs

If I had a dollar for every race that I crashed out, was lagged, had the wrong tyres or couldn't make it to,

yeah no worrys i was just trying to hold youse off for as long as i could without cuasing an accident, so once one of youse had the inside or close enough i just backed off as youse were putting alot effort in to try get around.

Mate you were rear ending me alot i didnt even care as we were going invisible no damage - same as OnlineGT you basiclly push your way passed him, lap 5 you over shot your right hand tyres onto the grass ending you wide drifting into me as everyone knows i take that corner on the inside i was sticking wide to allow for you to have the inside its your fualt you drifted wide and could not make the pass without incident

As for im useless part mate , are we insulting each other now because i put the facts to you bluntly when you jumped on OnlineGT's wagon. - you need a reality check i dont know how you came to that conclusion as your the one barging through the field, maybe learn to brake and roll through the corner to keep up with the other cars without contact under braking and taking into account thier toe from the draft,I have no memory of ever hitting anyone in the 4 championships oni has run my passing has been clean and fair without incident dont know anyone that doesnt trust me following them super close. its an endurance race not a sprint race you seem to thinks its the last lap everylap

and sorry waynz wasnt supposed to get you all up in here lol but yeah you jumped quite abit it looked like lag so thier was no problem, Rusty wasnt complaining he dealth with it and soldiered on

You've clearly got **** internet because I wasn't drifting anywhere on lap 5. On entry to the corner, the rear got a bit out because i touched the grass but I made the apex as easy as anything. And is it illegal to give bumps? I don't think it is mate, and I didn't smash my way past rusty, they were the slightest taps to let him know I was there, no damage, didn't even make him lose controll at any point.

Atleast I'm hounest, I know I'm not the best in the field, but don't forget I'm the youngest in the field, and I have the least experience. This is my first full championship I've ever done in my entire life, this is your 4th atleast, and before I started doing casual races with Waynz, I'd never had anyone who I could properly race with. So cut me some slack mate because I've done nothing wrong, you're just making something out of nothing.

Oh and BTW, just because I'm inexperienced, doesn't mean I don't know the rules of what you can do when racing and what you can't 👍

I still didn't even drift wide. I touched the grass while overtaking you and it unsettled me a little bit, but I still got to the apex. Still, if I run wide and make it to the corner and you're still behind me, you have no right to be hitting me, regardless. There was no overtaking oppotunity, not even if you're name is Michael Schumacher, there still was no way you'd get up the inside, I was so far ahead of you by then anyway.

Hrm maybe cause you had a massive toe and had to brake alot earlier than i had i was just holding my line, I wasnt trying to pass mate i was in tyre conserve mode to go 18 laps without a pit doing 47.'s i didnt even bother putting down low 44's i didnt wanna battle anyone -your fast at putting laps down no doubt about that - what i do is just race in practice seshons with others were it doesnt matter if you hit and youll pickup were to brake under drafts instead of just turning laps and not getting that vital experiance, im just going to leave it that i dont want an argument

Im not the best in the field to be honest i actually think MICK_C_1080 is 👍 dont let that goto your head either mick =D

About you mistakenly thinking I was being over eager, I'm never over eager. I'm sorry if the lag contact between Waynz and I resulted in damage to you; but know that if I could have seen it coming I would have done anything I could to avoid hitting you mate. And thanks for your apology regarding the comment of being over eager, I appreciate it!

@Waynz: Yeah there was contact mate, you had a tiny bit of lag on my screen. The truth is that it did give me a little damage, but the car still drove straight and I was able to 'soldier on', so it makes no difference at all. We all good. lol I wouldn't have even mentioned it here if it wasn't brought up.

@Xerxes: It's a shame you couldn't get in mate; the amount of times you tried...must of been frustrating. On another note, its a shame we can't share or upload our replays for everyone to download like tracks etc...I'm kinda suprised that PD overlooked replays? There must be some sort of technical reason as to why they haven't done so.

Yeah mate, was frustrating but I had already anticipated it earlier in the week when I noticed I was going to be capped by time Monday night rolled around which is the primary reason why I did not do a lot of testing, although I had still hoped it would let me in... 👎

It did let me race afterwards with about 6 people though as long as I kept my mic off but that was the extent of it... 56kbps capped speed...

On a more positive note, I have got a guaranteed Naked ADSL2+ connection with 200Gb per month at the house my partner and I have purchased so I should not need to worry about being capped again... Maybe... Even if I am it is capped at 256kbps so it is almost 5x faster than my current cap anyway.

Looking forward to the 25th when my net is un-capped and I can get back into some racing with you guys. 👍 Roll-on Fuji Speedway F!

I came out on softs and caught Oni and Rusty pretty fast and didn't want to overtake them,
as I realised I was on the wrong tyres, then you came up behind so I thought it was time to back off and park up.
