Yeah that is the problem mate. You had 2 wheels on the curb and the other 2 on the grass. 2 wheels need stay on the grey stuff inside the white track lines. Going out of the white track line is a cut.

Every league, across every sim for the 8 years ive been driving has allowed curbs as track. My bad

Guess I should have just rage quitted

Hahaha yeah i guess a rage quit would of been better off.

But yeah sorry mate I've had this bought up a lot during all the other series I've ran about what we should classify as a cut and what isn't. In the end it was decided by most of the regulars that 2 wheels stay inside the white lines. Decision was made as a group so I'm happy to run with it.

I've added you mate. just a quick one. do I need to own those cars? if so, am I allowed to modify them?

No need to own them as we are using the Recommended list cars. So there is no tuning available.. apart from your brake balance you can do using the menu system during a race.

Sorry mate, and your my TEAM mate and im doing this...

Many new drivers have jumped into to Oni's series, and then blown up when him or another driver tell's them they are corner cutting...

All they needed to do was read the first page... outlining everything about the series, including the rules....so sorry buddy, no ones fault but yours

so all I need to do is turn up on monday? no chance for some practice? also, how will I know what tires I should use? sorry for all the questions

Yeah all you need to do is turn up. This series is a little different to the normal ones i run. We decided to do a "lucky dip" each night at 8:30 to pick the car and track to remove the practicing. Also the removal of tuning by using recommended cars made it all about how quickly a driver can adapt to the car and track. Made things interesting as drivers didn't have a clue what to run for a pit strategy. Makes the race a lot more dynamic.

This monday being the last sprint race we all know what the track and car is. So if you want to practice your more then welcome.

Monday night will be. JR Rocha's G37 at Rome (2 x 15 lap races). Tyres will be Sports Medium.

awesome, thanks mate, ill see you all on monday night... ill try not to get in the way of people racing for the championship...

for anyone who has had some practice.. whats a reasonable time around rome in the g37

I don't think anyone has done it proper yet, people seem to be big on BF3 at the moment but keep an eye out tonight

Hey CJ, I've just done a few laps and I got a 1:13.3 on the sports medium tyres.
Not sure what a super fast lap would be, but that 1:13.3 felt reasonable, maybe a 1:12.9?

Has anyone else done any laps?

Yeah its that simple.
Besides I love the fact that Oni's series are modelled of real racing principles. What real life race series allows drivers to climb up and over the ripple strip so there entire car is off the track with just a wheel or 2 on the ripple strip...in real life...do that and you look like plonka who ran to deep into the corner.

Or look like massa, haha his curb cutting ruined his suspension twice

Yeah that was pretty funny really. You'd of thought that he would have learned his lesson after breaking his suspension in quali. Then he does it again during the race. And it was only him that did it the whole weekend.

Also who else got confused by the dopelganger in the garage area?

They showed a Massa incident during the race and then cut to the guys in the Ferrari garages and there's 'Massa' standing there in civies watching the race

It was his brother, looked a lot like him, possibly less fit so rounder in the face. But had me scratching my head.

Edit: Oh yeah and an after thought - who watching the Rowen Atkinson moment . . . and laughed (out loud) - I did.

I could not ever take that guy seriously. He's pulling this annoyed angry, shocked face, but it was just pure comedy.

In case you're reading this Oni, my internet on my PS3 has decided to **** itself. Can't get it to work and CBF trying anything else. Go on without me.

Sorry Evan :( I'm just the worst teammate alive.

Great racing tonight guys, very happy with 4th and 5th, apologies to jol, you always seemed to catch me on the last lap and by that stage all I want can do is defend, but in race 2 when I hit the wall it sent me across the track sideways which forced you into the wall. Terribly sorry about the racing incident but I wasn't going to pull over lol

Watched the replay of race 2, willco, Wayn, stig, French fry that race was amazing fun. So glad none of us had race ending contact with each other

No problem taital, i haven't watched the races yet but they were some of the best races i have had. The first one was very close between four of us at the end. The second race i was to worried at the start about not seeing evan and trying to be careful so i lost a few positions but my tyre wear was very good and yea i caught you at the end of each race. Good race by everyone i think:tup:.

Yeah was great first few laps in race 2, till i hit the wall all by myself!:nervous:
Then I had some wonderfull understeer, which made defending against Wayne and Stig almost impossible! So once I lost out there, I decided to pit for softs and try for fastest lap.. dunno if i succeeded..
Same thing happened in race 1, I think once i gave up and put the softs on, i think I saw a 1:12.5 or so..
But it looked like good clean racing from all.. and that car is sweet too!

Good news boys & Rota.. the announcement for the TC series is about to happen this week. tonight i have some final testing to do but the cars are almost good to go. thanks to Rota testing with me last night.

Rota keep the cars secret for now until testing is done.

Cheers,
Oni

we found a working combo after you left. :P

Time for fastest laps.

Race 1
- Rotamasta 1:12.763
- Willco 1:12.771

Race 2
- Rotamasta 1:12.709
- Willco 1:13.338

Question oni, I know I lost points for cutting which im not denying, but aren't we meant to get a warning before deduction, 20 points took close to 3 rounds of points off me

Warnings were given to everyone 2 races back. I advised everyone if there are any cuts then you will receive a point penalty. It's to late in the series to be giving more warnings. Everyone was aware that a point penalty will apply.

Rusty, Willco, Evan, Bono, Stig and a few others said i need to crack down harder on people in this series and i have done just that. I damned if i do and damned if i dont. So they say.

I 'may' look at a slight reduction to the point penalty next series. But that's a big maybe. Curb hopping, corner cutting etc needs to have a deterrent and a hefty point penalty ensures to bring such 'incidents' in line.
