Hi everyone, im trying to rectify an issue with my replay and i will be working in coordination with jasr in regards to reviewing Mondays race. Due to the nature of tyre wear and the sweeping corners I will take these into consideration when deliberating on applicable penalties and or warnings.

Every run wide/cut will be dealt with on a case by case basis of damage, tyres, attempt to not gain an advantage from it (eg running wide and backing off).

Where applicable i will attach photo's to my reports.

Good to see you both jumping on board right away. Thanks guys.

I know i did a few cuts and ran wide a couple of corners. I blame my lack of sleep but excuses are excuses and ill take anything thrown at me. I do want you both to know i did back off a few seconds every time i cut or ran wide that gave advantages.

To everyone else. Remember now we have stewards on board the decisions start and stop with them. The only time i will ever lend a voice on the matter is if Jasr and Taital cannot come to an agreement. I doubt this will happen as they both have extensive knowledge in racing rules from different types of motorsport.

So if any one gets penalized don't come crying to me. If they both agreed on the matter. Like i said before. Take it as a learning experience and move on.

The aim is to turn these series closer and closer into a very realistic experience while still having fun and being competitive. Don't take anything to heart if you are penalized as after all it is a game and the aim is to enjoy it. Learn from mistakes makes you a better persons/driver at the end of the day.

👍

Taital - when you're ready send me a PM and we'll work out the best way forward to share the review load etc. :)

Hey Oni, I wont be able to race the coming monday, I have my uni exams starting up and one is on tuesday morning at 8, was considering doing it but then knowing me i would stay for the after party and yeah... not a good idea. So feel free to find someone WITH AS HIGH SKILL LEVEL as me to fill my spot. IF they are not as good as me (which is highly likely) then just award me with the 25 points automatically as we all know I would win.

And sorry Small Fryz mate, prob going to lose the team championship now, but im pretty sure that is going to happen after taital and jasr are finished anyway haha. Anyways sorry for missing last race.

Have fun boys!

Rota!! just want to comment, I do recall you backing well off after sliding through Eau Rouge in front of me (which I'm sure we all did at one point or another) and giving the position up in good sportsmanship, duly noted mate. 👍 Best of luck for your exams. Having been there before, bet you'll be glad when you get those out the way.

hahaha Yeah backed off and I really wanted to let you past as it would be you coming up over the hill and didnt want to cause an accident, although when i did back off and you passed... i noticed I backed off way to much to catch your toe :( hahaha

You should of said, you backed off after the incident and in doing so you had troubles finding a gear to continue

Hahaha, Yeah thats what I meant.... Taital, you should get jas onto the google + group for all your steward work, wouldn't it be easier? I'm sure he is craving to see all the random **** we put up there too! hahaha

I noticed that too mate. You didn't just back off, it was like you threw the thing into 1st gear, jumped out, checked to make sure the boot was properly closed, took a quick leak, waved to the fans, jumped back in, changed the CD and off you went. LOL

I woulda said he just reapplied his make up in the mirror before moving off but oh well

Do we have drop rounds?

Kinda hoping to have the points finalized before the last race so I know what needs to go down..

Nah lol, i remember the V8s adopted this a few years ago, it was a heap of cow poo, if you have a bad round it's a part of racing.

So points will remain as they are heading into the last race

Before Jasr and myself post our findings from the race on Monday, does anyone have anything they need to report such as dirty driving causing damage or a complaint.

Please do not waste our time by telling us crap, we both have full time jobs and don't want to sit watching replays because you think it's funny.

Please submit them via PM on here or ingame to either Jasr73 or myself

Bought a replacement for the old death trap... 1995 Suzuki Swift.
Not exactly an upgrade lol, but it was good to find something in decent condition quickly.
Talked the bloke down from $2150 to $1500 cash.

Only problem is I'm 6ft 4in, and the Suzuki is... a Suzuki.
Kinda hard to heel and toe, might be time to get a smaller steering wheel and a thinner seat lol.

Haha Mick. That poor guy in the Cappuccino will never be the same again !

edit: Congrats on the new car Mike !!

He replied to my message this morning, he said he could get out of jail with less rear damage then that race, also appologised for getting in the way lol

As long as he knows it was all in fun.

Figured that the guy was looking to get a laugh bringing that car out on LaSarthe

^Hey that rhymes

The Race Steward’s Report – Round 7 Circuit de Spa Francorchamps
Stewards: mrtaital & jasr73

Firstly boys just wanted to apologise for the delay on this one. We’ll ensure that we get our findings out in a more timely fashion going forward.

We’d like to congratulate everyone on a great race. There was a distinct lack of incidents reported (read none) or those observed that required further attention. This always makes a review process a somewhat easier job to get done. 👍

As you know, this was our first competitive outing at SPA under full race rules as a group. As such we choose to take a somewhat lenient approach. The fact was just about everyone (myself included) at one point or another strayed outside the white lines, be it by driver misjudgement, proximity of other cars or perhaps just pushing a little to hard.

Incidents where taken on balance to establish if a driver was running wide or cutting on a consistant basis, any collisions that may have occured, general review to ensure adherence to tyre regulations, if a particular incident gave an unfair advantage to an offending driver and/or effect the final outcome of finishing positions.

We agreed that we could not find a single incident that warranted a points deduction, let alone a DNF. Therefore it is our finding that points as posted in the Championship Table for Round 7 are final.

We are however going to be handing out two warnings. These warnings are issued to AussieStig117 and CJMonkey610 for 'running wide' of the established racing track area on lap 25, the final lap.

Warning detail

AussieStig117 on the final lap. Charging to reel in CJ. Exit of Pouhon (turn 12) ran wide outside the ripple strip and onto the astro / green surface, however given he reduced throttle input to less than 50% in an attempt to arrest understeer rather than stay on full throttle through the turn, a warning only is issued at this time.

Aussie Stig's incident pictured, SmallFryz in background

CJMonkey610 on the final lap. Fighting to hold onto the lead. Front tyres at less than 10% and rears not much better understeers wide at exit turn 18 and pushes outside the ripple strip and beyond the astro turf/ green surface area. Given an attempt to reduce speed via reduced throttle / brake inputs was made prior to entry to turn 18 and was ultimately overtaken legally through the Bus stop by AussieStig. A warning only is issued at this time.

cj's incident pictured, Stig and Fryz also in shot

Fastest laps – reviewed and legal
cjmonkey 610- 2.29.808
AussieStig117 – 2.30.015
evan1080 – 2.30.141
SmallFryz – 2.30.336

Once again if anyone has anything they would like the stewards to address, please don't hesitate to let taital or myself know. :)

Cheers boys, looking forward to the final round.:gtpflag:

Excellent report jasr, well done to yourself and Taital. I think the addition of stewards will add a great new dynamic to the game and take a load off Oni, thankyou

on a lighter note some photos from some friday night fun with spin, taital, mick c and myself.
we jumped on a public room call "Clean Racing" and well, created some havoc.

Thats a very professional report Jasr and Taital , thanks for taking the time to add to what is already a fantastic series. Cheers :)

Yeah I agree a good report + also the fact that there were no penalties to hand out shows how good and clean/professional the racing is . . . I wanna get back into it.

Wednesday nights I should be good. Once the series starts.

Good pictures Evan, that was a good session.

Happy Monday everyone,

Further to the report by Jasr73, we are making a special note and warning for:

AussieStig117

Report details:

During the last corner chicance on the last lap, a cut of the corner was completed which may have aided the driver in making a passing manouver which lead to the race victory.

Stewards Jasr73 and myself have decided on a final warning for AussieStig117 for this report. If any further cut is made by the driver AussieStig117 in the next race which leads to an advantage, it will be reviewed and if found guilty a points penalty will apply due to the frequency of warnings for this.

Considering the cut lead to a passing manouver which won the race we feel this is only a light penalty.

Attached below are images of the occurance.

Normal race ethics when you cut a corner or run wide, is to slow down and not gain an advantage from this.

As per Oni's rules:

2 wheels must be on the black stuff at all times! In other words. 2 wheels must always be inside the white track edge lines.

Nice race reports guys and totally agree with you on the penalties given. Thanks again for taking a load off my hands... in more ways then one. ;)

Now about the new series as tonight is the final round. I have been slack on posted what it will include but unfortunately my work load has gone through the roof so i don't have much time at all. I will however post them up ASAP but just to let you know.. there will be a 1 week break so i can get a grip on my workload and give people time to test.

Here are brief details.

Monday Night: CR-Z vs MX-5
Tier 1: CR-Z
Tier 2 & 3: MX-5
Everyone on Racing Mediums. There are no softs.

Wednesday Night: SuperGT series (GT500 & GT300)
Tier 1: GT500
Tier 2 & 3: GT300
Everyone on Racing Mediums. There are no softs.
2 different series points. GT500 & GT300 are separate series but in the same race.
