Nice race reports guys and totally agree with you on the penalties given. Thanks again for taking a load off my hands... in more ways then one.

Now about the new series as tonight is the final round. I have been slack on posted what it will include but unfortunately my work load has gone through the roof so i don't have much time at all. I will however post them up ASAP but just to let you know.. there will be a 1 week break so i can get a grip on my workload and give people time to test.

Here are brief details.

Monday Night: CR-Z vs MX-5
Tier 1: CR-Z
Tier 2 & 3: MX-5
Everyone on Racing Mediums. There are no softs.

Wednesday Night: SuperGT series (GT500 & GT300)
Tier 1: GT500
Tier 2 & 3: GT300
Everyone on Racing Mediums. There are no softs.
2 different series points. GT500 & GT300 are separate series but in the same race.

hi guys, i wont be able to make tonights race unfortunately :-( but i'll definately be in for the Monday Night series if there is room. (i race another gt500 league on wednesdays, so will not be able to make that)

Been a good series boys.. had its ups and downs but has now come to it's end. The new series will be posted soon. We are on a 1 week break till then. So no stress out for next monday.

Hey guys, good to see things are still alive here👍...can hardly say the same for myself haha..I have been pretty inactive with GT lately. I'm actually taking off to drive down to the Sunny Coast..will be offline for 2 weeks. Take it easy guys and see you in a fortnight.

Hey Oni, I have been wondering for a while, but left it as you said you are busy, but what exactly are the regs for both series, what do we bolt on to the CR-Z's and MX-5's, or what pp limit is set? and same with the JGTC cars, just wondering so I can start sort of setting up the cars I want to use and leave them away from the Online mess of taital reshaping every panel on every car of mine.

P.S. this thread is ****ing quiet now... hahaha

If I was to race in this, which would be the car Id end up with?

Those cars on racing mediums with no extra horsepower are pretty over tyred, that being said the racing should be super duper close.

I didn't think of having teams in these 2 series. As its got 2 classes racing at the same time so having class points, driver points, team points is a bit to much.

But if you guys want to do teams (without points) thats cool. Teams would be the same cars are on a team together.

BTW - GT500 series ill be using the Epson NSX.

Fair enough if you already have it sorted Oni, but I reaken just pairing a GT500 guy with a GT300 guy would be the most fun, If that was the case, im pretty sure thats all I would be looking at points wise. Just go off last teams as we know each others abilities or do a quick qual night again, those qual nights are fun, and part of the series i look forward to when you start a new one. Just a suggestion, even if you are busy oni, im sure the rest of us can sort out a qual night, and give you the times to find a place to slot yaself in? Or did you just want to drop it completely?

Ok quickly before i bite off my client's head.. here is more info..

Regarding parade/warm up laps. I have figured out how to get the grid working 99% of the time so we will no longer need this. If you all want to keep it just let your voice be known.

Regarding GT500 & GT300 starting. When the race starts the GT500 cars go. The GT300 cars wait 5 seconds then go. Ideally we would be using the double file rolling start but for some stupid reason this was reserved for NASCAR tracks. Go figure.

Now CR-Z vs MX-5. It was bought to my attention that the MX-5 is slightly faster. I do believe proper tuning will negate this difference. However during the series (or first 2 races) if there is a very clear advantage to the point the top drivers cannot catch the tier 2 and 3 drivers. Then the MX-5 will suffer a weight penalty of 50kgs or more. Will iron this out during the series. But it shouldn't be a major issue. Will make racing very close and fun for all.

I said to Taital I'd post a pic of my high tech race set-up given i know you boys did during the recent Lexus series.

Please note the repurposed wooden chopping boards (in acknowledgement of their extensive use in Sim Racing), 9" G clamps (holding the whole show to the coffee table) and ergonomic back rest (stolen from other couch now in shed).

This is but a glimpse of the cutting edge innovations going on at jasr73 Race Towers...
