Sorry guys i'm to upset and angry to finish the race, i was having a great race with spin until i put hard tyres on and i crashed twice, i wanted to desperately race tonight as i'm at the angry stage of why my dad is going through such a hard time but i cracked tonight and it was safer for all of you that i kept off the track and laid a few punches into my bed.

First of all, Congratulations to Rusty for the Championship win, you have been simply outstanding this competition, even with the ballast they slapped on you.
Well done to Oni for runner up, and Rota for 3rd place finish, the pride of team ARTA.

Unless i missed some points, the Team championship is as follows

Autobacs - 279
Wedsport(Lexus) - 248
ARTA- 238

So well done to the Autobacs team for a great season.

This is also my best result for a season, in the 3 i have been involved in, as well as being able to start all 9 races without a hitch, and finishing 8 of them, i was able to finally have some good connection, albeit for 2 races.
There have been some great battles through the season again.

And lastly, to Oni for organizing the races, Mic for organizing the photo comp, and to Taital and Jasr for their Steward duties.
And to everyone who has made this Competition great as it is.

I have been in many different Championships on GTPlanet, and this is by the far the most organized, competitive and fun series i have been in.
I have great respect for everyone involved with it.

Thankyou everyone for 3 great memorable seasons. Hopefully i'll see you guys around in the future.

SERIES REVIEW​

What can i say but what a great way to finish the series! I'm sure photos will follow suit soon.

Rusty's pace the final race was to great to finish below 4th as i'd hope so a 1st place overall was definitely off the table however it didn't stop me and Jase from trying to take first place in the final race to make that gap just that little bit closer to Rusty. Those last 10 laps was some great close and defensive racing between the 3 of us (Rusty, Jase, myself). Once again Rusty congratulations in a superb drive throughout the series. It was tough trying to claw back the lead you had but bloody hell was it fun.

Every car had their strengths and weaknesses and it was great to see drivers over come them and improve throughout the series. Hoping season 7 follows suit.

For those that missed the race I'm sure someone will upload the replay for you to view it (specially those last 10 laps).

The final results for the series are;

Drivers Championship
1st: OnlineGT - 164pts
2nd: Oni_chan - 146pts
3rd: Rotamasta7 - 89pts

Team Championship
1st: Team Voda - 279pts
2nd: Wedsport - 241pts
3rd: ARTA - 225pts

Big thanks to my Team mates. You guys drove exceptionally well. You guys are two of the best team mates i have had in a long time and wouldn't hesitate to team up again with you two. We started out great with strong points to be in line for 1st place in the team standings but throughout the series we started to suffer on the longer/higher speed tracks, but we managed to get decent results with the odds stacked against us and made a comeback mid season to take the title by 38 points. Great drive guys! Super proud of you two.

It's great to see everyone progress throughout the series and it always feels a bit empty when one of them leaves. That man this time is Pawel. He's improved so much throughout the series and scored his best ever final position in an ORS championship of 4th place. Congratulations mate. Superb drive and cheers for racing with us. I hope you enjoy your time over at iRacing. Try make an appearance now and then on GT5. Even come in and teach us a lesson after your time spent on iRacing.

Thanks again to all the drivers that participated. There will be some recognition awards for a few drivers so keep an eye on this post.

What a season!👍 I had soo much fun, racing with you guys is the best. You couldn't get a cleaner, fairer, good bunch to race with than you guys!

Season 6 Finale- Grand Valley East/ Reverse
My biggest photo round up...for the best race I have had in GT5 to date!

The starting Grid for the last race of Season 6!
On Pole: Jas, 2nd: OnlineGT, 3rd: Oni_Chan...
Iv'e never pushed sooo hard to get a good quali result...It didn't bother me at all that Jas took Pole in the last 2mins?...I knew I had given it everything. Oni was ultra close to my time! Also 4th for Spin...superb result!

Lap 1- Not yet understanding the braking differences of the MR-S and my IS350...I push it a bit hard and freak out Oni and jas a bit...I hit the apex but it was too much for the first lap!

Lap after lap Oni in the lead, then me then Jas...this is how it stayed for the first 11 laps....this close the whole way!! We all played it smart, no crazy moves...true endurance race style!👍

I was happy to stay in second...but I didn't want Oni to know that! I had to keep the pressure on! I pulled out of draft and Jas gave Oni Bump Draft to keep Team Voda in the lead...what a team...Iv'e never seen anything like it!

Lap 11- The ARTA Garaiyas struggled with the last corner and this time despite great effort by JTV the corner took its toll.

Lap 11- Oni and Jas pitted a number of laps earlier than me and when they got out...Team Voda vs Team ARTA!

Lap 17- After getting past team ARTA, this is what Oni and Jas looked like all race!! Seriously...what a team!!

Lap 20- Both Spin and Taital where the only Drivers representing there respective teams in the final race...good on you guys! They had a great battle for 4th that raged for many laps, constantly changing place on the straight! Here Spin makes a move on MrT.

Lap 21- A lap later and Taital jumped Spin on the straight, it was his turn to lead for a lap.

Lap 23- In the meantime while Spin and Taital trade places...JTV calls into pits and dons' some new rubber.

Lap 24- The battle still rages! Taital leaves a gap and Spin jumps on it!

Lap 27- Spin and MrT are still going at it, pitting is simply an inconvenience...Spin comes flamin' haulin into pits and Taital freaks out...nearly collects the wall and the drama doesn't stop there haha!

This is Taital...you can see the extreme pressure he is under...the expression is written all over his helmet...one of pure concentration!

Lap 41- Pawel and Rota have a super-close call! I got to hand it to Pawel, no rage quit did he do; he stuck with it and raced to the finish...even pulling up beside me for the congratulatory thumbs up!👍

Lap 41- Another angle showing just how close the T1 moment was! Sooo crossed up there Pawel!

The great efforts put up by team ARTA, Rota MASTA on the Championship podium...good stuff Rota and team ARTA!

Oni and Jas pushed it sooo hard to catch, scary stuff getting close to that wall...but they mastered it!

This is another angle showing Oni high and dry on the little strip of concrete beside the wall...only the MR-S was narrow enough to fit up on it.

Lap 56- Out of the tunnel I have a good look up the inside of Oni, there wasn't enough room to capatalize...this time.

Lap 57- This was such close racing! Again I have a look up the inside...but it was still not enough...this was reminding me of the 1st lap move...the next lap after this, I got it done!​

Despite spinning and hitting the wall multiple times, i wanted to just end it there, but then i thought, what would cactass do. And so i continued.
I'll be keeping interest in the next series, hopefully the photo comp continues, and someone uploads the replays so i can have a watch.

The 6th Season has been marked by clean and fast racing, with many battles had by all...for some this has been a series of improvements, for others; there first chance to race in the ORS. Others have had ups and downs and are looking forward to the next series to show there true pace!

To finish we have something new* to introduce the Series:

This is a way to make special mention of Drivers who have; although not maybe won many races, have instead showed quality's that have really made this series enjoyable for all and who deserve a formal thanks!👍

The Awards are as follows:

Best Sportsman Award! (Awarded to the Driver who although not finishing very well, kept on truckin' and never rage quited when things went from bad to worse. This Driver is a model of Sportsman!)​

Most Improved Award! (Awarded to the Driver who had the greatest increase in pace an took the battle to the Drivers in the Tier above.)​

Greatest Contributor Award! (Awarded to the Driver who gave of themself, contributed to the Series in a remarkable way!).​

Which Drivers do you think best deserve the Awards above? Simply nominate the great Driver of your choice for each of the Awards, send Oni a PM in the following format:

Oni : Thanks for putting on the best series to date. Not only was the racing great , but the series itself has grown so many arms and legs now thanks to the time and effort from the many involved. I feel honoured to race with you guys !

Last night had the potential to be a really good race for me. I figured I'd throw it all on the line and go for broke hence the qual on softs. It mostly went to plan apart from lap 58 haha ! Great battle with MrT for 2 stints , turns out we both had the same tyre strategy so we were truly locked together for 20 laps or so.

Thanks everyone for all the races and the after parties , looking forward to the next series

Season 6 Finale- Grand Valley East/ Reverse - continued​

Congratulations to Rusty for taking out the championship, very well deserved mate. To Oni for an exceptional last round drive, we where on the limit for so many laps, not sure how we got away with it -that was the most intense, on-going battle I've had to date and just great fun. Congrats also to Rota for talking third in the series - top effort mate. 👍

Also my thanks to Oni for hosting another brilliant series, as Spin said, with many people now contributing their time and efforts, really makes for what must be one of the best series on GTP AND not to forget the fact that you couldn't wish for a better bunch of blokes to race with.

Thanks to everyone for making this the best series to date, you're all legends.

PS: best of luck Pawel with iRacing, sorry to see you go mate. Make sure you come back and visit us and share your stories.

Just continuing on from Rusty's excellent last round wrap-up, some additional snaps with a little PS magic thrown in for fun.

Jol in to T2 on the first lap on hard, cold tires, makes for very difficult negotiation of T2. Despite early dramas, Jol recovers and posts a superb 4th place.

Spin chasing the lead pack, pushing hard in the tunnel.

JTV fights the sand and pulls it up like a pro in the escape road.

Pit lane traffic was like the M5 on Monday morning. Taits on a mission.

Taits on hard tires catches the infamous T2 grass, but pulls it up just in time to save damage.

Oni walks the tight rope in the tunnel.

Jol and Rota fight it all the way down pit lane.

About the series...yeah I missed racing with you guys! No chance of finding better racing anywhere! I really wanted to win this particular Season; I love GT Cars and my online ID means racing Gran Touring Cars on the perfect race lines.

I'm stoked I won the Finale...that race is the biggest highlight of GT5 for me so far.
Yeah I love the show and shines!👍 You really know how to make a car look good...the 'serious contender' look is what I think looks great and thats how you customize your cars.
