Der Alta,

Yes that's quite a cool representation for sure. I think he (the author at Digital Blasphemy) uses 3D programs like Lightwave, 3D-Max as well as others, only using Photoshop and other 2D programs for touch up details...

It would be cool if they made an inexpensive canvas that you could upload your image to, and hang it on the wall in high-res. When you got tired of it, you could simply delete it, and upload a new picture.

Knowing the content on Digital Blashphemy, that screen is more likely a closeup of the inside of some girl's, or perhaps an evil clowns Anus. :odd:

I've got a picture frame in my house which is actually an LCD screen - you just insert a compact flash card into the back of it and the frame will give you some options of displaying individual pictures, or a constant slideshow. It's not quite a big "canvas", but it is rather inexpensive and close to what you're talking about. :)

I think I've seen those, there a about the size of a 3x5 or 4x6 right? I think I've seen them priced at about 79.99 at Wal-Mart if I'm remembering correctly.

I was thinking around 10x12 minimum, but preferably poster size, backlit from the LCD. I really don't want to drop $6k for a flat, LCD T.V. just for still pictures..., although some of them can have the images loaded for a slide show, screen saver of sorts..

:)

Not quite right there.

Clouds. Noise. Twirl. Colour Balance. Hue, Saturation, Lightness. Lens Flare. New Layer. Black oval in center. Gaussian blur. Merge Layer. 1 pixel black border. Save for web.
